What do you look for in the perfect cream eyeshadow? Share your must-have qualities!
I personally prefer cream eyeshadows that will set on their own – I don’t mind one that is better used as a base, but in a perfect world, it would set on its own and last all day long without creasing or fading. It would be blendable without drying down too quickly (or staying wet for too long). Medium color opacity would be lovely with buildable color to full color opaqueness.

ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT CREASE.
I like the density to be like Benefit’s Creaseless cream shadows which are a bit more wet than Mac Paint pots. I don’t go through creams that quickly so it has to last for at least 6 months without drying out on me.
1) No creasing!
2) Long wear
3) Compatible with dry shadows
4) Doesn’t dry out when stored
I don’t wear cream eyeshadows too often but no creasing is a biggie.
Intense color and do not crease
One that is creamy and blendable, slightly shimmery, dries to a powdery finish and doesn’t crease!
I don’t see any point in cream shadows that can’t stand on their own! I used to use cream shadows pretty exclusively for a couple of years, and if it’s not as simple as swipe-and-go, I might as well be using primer, powdered shadow, and brushes.
Doesn’t crease, pigmented, sets really well, great makeup base.

Non-creasing (so it works on its own or as a base for other shadows), easy to blend and good pigmentation. Sheen/frost is okay but not chunky, OTT glitter.
Opacity, long wear, and not much – if any – shimmer.
I am older and my eyelids are no longer taut and veinless, and I really don’t need anything that a)doesn’t cover the veins and/or b) makes the wrinkles more noticeable.
No creasing; long lasting. Estee Lauder stay in place shadow creme meets both.
The best cream eyeshadow I’ve ever used, I discovered in the corner of the local beauty supply store. It’s called Love Me 365 Jumbo Twist Stick. It’s a jumbo pencil and it applies so smoothly without creasing and its easy to blend out. And the nude colour makes an excellent base. It’s better than my beloved paintpots.

2. Creamy and blends well.
3. Has a pretty shimmer to it and can be worn alone.
4. Doesn’t dry to fast so I can really work with it.
5. Doesn’t sting my eyes or get messy and on your lashes.
So which one lasts a long time on its own without creasing? Bare Escentuals?
I’ve done a lot of posts on my favorite cream eyeshadows – there are many that last without creasing, not just one brand 🙂 I’m not sure what your price range is, but you can easily search for best cream eyeshadows on the blog and go from there.

Color payoff, creasing and long lasting. All I wear is a lid color (suits my face better) so I only choose one color and it has to be good because I hate, with the passion of a thousand fiery suns, touching up my eye makeup.
I need it to dry totally, not stay greasy, creamy or smudgeable(sp?). It must not smear, crease or flake and should set on its own without powder or powdered eyeshadows. Should blend and sheer out easily enough to work with it in a short amount of time. Should also be opaque or build to opaque without being cakey. should be waterproof. Hopefully, the shade is beautiful enough to wear alone, but also works well as a base. Cream eyeshadows are my favorite primer. I like a thicker consistency also. I’m a huge paintpot fan.
