Can someone talk me ouit of the eyeshadow palette? I own the OG Spectrum, Full Spectrum and some nudes. Am warm toned. There’s no swatches and I want it but m not sure about the quality.

Kameika Avatar

This isn’t the best talking you out of the palette. From Head to Toe on youtube just did a review on this collection, the swatches she did look unbelievable. She called the blues and purples warm toned, but that’s not possible blue and purple are cool toned, but they can be rich, vibrant or bright in color.

Sk Avatar

Blues and purples can be warm toned…even Christine says warm toned blue and cool toned blue in her reviews. Reds can be cool toned as well. Orange based red is warm toned, blue based red is cool toned. Blue based purple is cool toned, red based purple is warm toned.

At first i was not at all intrigues by any of this (the large palette for example seems super impractical to store), but the little highlighter seems kind of cute. Do you happen to know if this collection is cruelty free? I know Sephora brand is not. I have been making an effort to buy only cruelty free makeup in the last year.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Moschino/Sephora collection! I was going to buy this Bear Eyeshadow Palette sight unseen, but they don’t have it in stock yet! I was up at 1 am PST waiting for it to show up, but no joy! 🙁

That Moschino Toy fragrance has actually been out for a few years already, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find a sample on ebay if you want to test out the fragrance before buying it. I remember because I seriously considered getting it just for the packaging when it first came out! I eventually talked myself out of it though 🙂

Thank you for letting me know! Moschino fragrances can be difficult to track down in Canada so I hope to see this make an appearance at least at Sephora for me to test out before committing, I’m a sucker for interesting fragrance bottles unless it’s a generic floral chances are high I’m grabbing one 🙂

Lucie Avatar

I am usually not one to get suckered in just on packaging (it helps, but I can usually resist unless I am head over heels in love with the entire product). I really want the brushes and perfume (I’m a sucker for cardamom scents). I’m lucky these weren’t actually available when I went online today.

Oh, except the sleep mask was available.

And yes, I bought it. I mean, come on. Look how adorable!

Big kawaii factor here. Let’s hope S is not totally depending on that for sales…that the product bears up.? Sorry, had to. As a person that kept a Nars Spendor in the Grass packaging (dead girl on the grass that offended many) guess kawaii is not my thing.

I don’t mind cute makeup sets (like those old Pupa kits), but I really don’t like this ‘infantilizing’ of makeup for adult consumers. Like Disney princesses, or Beauty and the Beast palettes. I don’t know if teddy bears are a Moschino thing or not, but they’re just silly, particularly at that price point.

Seraphine Avatar

Jcz, I agree 100% about infantalizing makeup for adult consumers when it comes to these products. Though the actual product inside might be great, the packaging belongs in a Claire’s store. I just don’t get the way the makeup industry is looking at women these days, with makeup packaged in teddy bears and palettes with names like Prissy Princess and Basic B***.
