Weekend plans: It’s Canada Day today so we have a long weekend. I’ll be working on our shade garden (went to the garden centre yesterday for a few unusual ferns, some hostas and Solomon’s Seal). My older son is home from CFB Edmonton but will be heading back Sunday night, so we’ll be spending a LOT of time with him. Canada Day bbq party tonight!!!

We’re still waiting for Semi-Precious and Fashion Flower to be launched here in the UK, but this week I bought some Sleek goodies – some in Superdrug and some on ebay.
I got the Curacao palette, Oh So Special palette, Safari palette, Chaos palette, Lemon Meringue Pout Polish, Candy Cane lipstick, Coral Reef lipstick and Aruba blush.
On ebay, I also managed to get MAC’s Utterly Frivolous lipstick (Fafi), Made With Love lipstick and Double Dare Cremesheen Glass.
I’m hoping to go to a village festival tomorrow, if the kids will get up for once, as friends of mine (a bellydance troupe) are performing there. On Sunday, we are planning to see the Dragon Boat races taking place on the lake in the park near where we live.

Received four eyeshadows and a few lipglosses from Rock & Republic, which I ordered from HauteLook with super discount! I’m extremely impressed by the R&R lipglosses. They’re wonderfully pigmented and as smooth as butter on the lips! Pretty sure I’ve just found my new favorite lipgloss formula 🙂 Picked up a few NYX lipsticks, which apply nicely. Unfortunately I can’t get over the taste and smell of them (Shampoo?!?), so I won’t be purchasing any more. Planning to try out the Revlon ColorStay lipsticks next as I heard they don’t have an unpleasant smell or taste.
This Sunday and Monday I’ll be working 🙁 I work in a car dealership. We never close, even on holidays! Saturday is reserved for catching up on chores. How fun, no?

Ok I’m finally asking! How do you pronounce Mellan, is it like “melon” or “mel-lawn” I’ve always been curious because I LOVE dogs with unusual names and Mellan is a beautiful dog, so photogenic! I am a dog groomer, and if I had a nickel for every “Buddy” I’d retire early 🙂

Haul: I worked on my MAC permanent eyeshadow collection. I got Sumptuous Olive, Samoa Silk, Goldmine, Cork and Fig. 1. I also got an actual MAC palette to put them in.
Plans: I’ll join my family at my MIL’s house in the country, work on how I’ll pay for all the yummy MAC coming up and play with my kid. Call MAC on Monday to order Pro eyeshadows.
