I ran out of my highligher and bought the concealer and highlighter hookup from ELF and it was horrible! It made my foundation ashy and it barely gave any highlight. Really disappointed. 🙁

NARS Albatross, even on my very very pale skin it seemed a really stark highlighter. Tried tiny amounts and then it was just glitter.

I just got ELF’s gotta glow blush (which is supposed to be a NARS albatross dupe) and I’m not loving it. I gotta keep trying it out more, I guess…

That’s the highlighter is what I get compliments on. lol. It’s funny how different products work differently on people 🙂

Really? I love that stuff. A couple of swipes below my eyes and I’m ready to rumble. It’s great for war paint too.

(This is all in good sarcastic humor!)

Seconding that. It has the most disgusting feel on your skin and the payoff of putting up with that is you can’t see it. So if you just want to feel and look gross, it’s a great product.

I tried and tried to make Benefit High Beam work for me. Like others said, it makes my pores look HUGE, and I never have issues with pores otherwise.

I agree with you! I received it in a kit I got from Nordstrom’s sale and I just used it yesterday..I couldn’t see it either! Once blended, it was gone. I even checked out in the natural light and nothing was there. Worthless!

I agree! I got the one in “spotlight” and whenever I use it, no matter how much i blend it out, someone will tell me I have a giant white spot on my cheek. its terrible!

I actually really like the Elf Facial Whips – I just squeeze a bit out on the back on my hand, then I tap three of my fingers from my other hand on the liquid, then I tap it in a C shape around the outer parts of my eyes. Adds a great glow. I have Spotlight and Citrus.

Too Faced Pink Leopard (from the Leopard Love Palette) is horrible!!! It leaves you looking dirty and muddy, and leaves dark brown bits all over you (looks like fallout). GAG! It’s absolutely disgusting!

I don’t think there’s a single highlighter that I hate. Love Albatross, love New Order (I have no issue whatsoever with glitter; bring it on!), and love a ton of drugstore highlighters such as Accessorize, GOSH, Collection 2000, etc. I think the only one I’m not mad about is the one by Sleek which comes as part of the countour kit; it doesn’t seem to transfer particularly well but the colour’s nice and would be ideal for someone who prefers a more subtle effect. I have the same problem with Bourjois cheek products as well, but I can’t go as far as saying I hate them. Feel free to donate all your unwanted highlighters to me lol! I’ll give them a loving home xD

A lot of the Mac Semi-Precious mineralized skin finishes! They had HUGE chunks of glitter except for the pearl one which was a good highlighter

Still not sure what I think of my Urban Decay Urbanglow Cream Highlighter. Application is nice and smooth but the look is a bit piecey. More like particles sitting on my face versus a smooth “glow”.

Good highlighters are few and far between! Ones I’ve tried that I hate are: High Beam (nightmare to apply, and isnt flattering), Urban Decay Urban Glow (too gritty), & Smashbox Artificial Light (made me break out like no other). However, testing them all out led me to discover a couple gems such as: Dior Amber Diamond, Mac CCB in Pearl. Still waiting to get my hands on Illamasqua Lies… its my life goal to get it hahaha.

benefit high beam – it is very shimmery and dry’s very fast so you must blend very quickly. Its extrealy un natural looking on the skin and makes my pores stand out and look larger. I really hoped i would like this after people rave about it but i dont :/

I really don’t like NYC’s Sun 2 Sun All-Over Bronzing Powder in Bronze Gold. It is absolutely terrible! There is zero pigmentation and the color is not flattering either. I guess that’s what you get for a drugstore product.
