Green Machine with Jealousy Wakes Look

I received an email this morning that MAC just received the product samples for Jealousy Wakes, so I hope to have them in my hot hands tomorrow.  As soon as I do, you know I’ll be swatching up a storm! 🙂

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof all over the lid and above the crease with the 242 to lay down your eyeshadow base.  Apply Juxt eyeshadow on the inner third of the lid with the 239, then pat Jealousy Wakes eyeshadow on the outer two thirds of the lid.  Lightly blend Juxt by patting and lightly pulling the color over the middle of the lid to create a yellower green in the center.  Bring Jealousy Wakes into the crease by pressing the 239 into the crease horizontally, and then darkening the crease with Bottle Green eyeshadow with the 222.  Tap Juxt lightly above the crease to soften the edge, and then highlight beneath the brow with Trench eyeshadow. Next, apply Deviant liner on the lower lash line, and then smudge with Jealousy Wakes on the outer third and Juxt on the inner two-thirds. Coat lashes with Film Noir mascara to finish the look.

For cheeks, apply Betty Lou-Manizer on the apples of the cheeks and sweep towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Liberte Rouge Coco Shine for a complementing lip.

Christine, I think you said that Jealousy Wakes (and the other Blogger products) won’t be available in the UK or Europe but do you know if they’ll be available in Canada? (they BETTER be since you came up here – practically on my doorstep – to develop them). I’ll be so miffed if they’re not available here either.

It’s a gorgeous look on you. You have the right combination of eye color, skin tone, and hair to really pull off this look. I’m going to order Jealousy Wakes to try to use it per your “neutral shadows with green in crease” idea. My eyes are light blue (aqua when I wear that color), skin is NW25, blonde hair — it ought to look good enough. But this color is so YOU!

Am I allowed to post an honest opinion? Cute color, horrid name. It is like something out of a really bad , emo, fan-fic young adult novel. I will still probably purchase it, but maybe scrap off the name.

Christine, I think this is one of your best eye looks. I really didn’t realize what an emerald-green size hole there was in eyeshadow collections until I saw Jealousy Wakes; this look confirms what an amazing, versatile color it will be. I can’t wait–I’m even going to be ordering the other MAC shadows you’ve used so I can work this look dupe-free!

I also can’t wait to see it just as a straight wash over a lid. A whole lid of gorgeous, shimmering emerald? Yes, please!

Loving the pop that the UD 24-7 in the blue you choose gives this look. Any teal or lighter blue liner has been a trick of mine since the mid 70’s when I picked up an Ernest Laslo eye pencil in a teal/aqua shade. I have never tired of that trick since discovering it.

Doesnt it feel wonderful to be saying jealousy wakes and then thinking “thats mine” :).Very nice look..amazing how u pull of 3 or more colors.I also like the lip colour better than the last jealousy look.

Oooh, I love this look! It is so gorgeous! I love how fresh and zingy the greens look. I really wish we could get ‘Jealousy Wakes’ in the UK – it’s such a beautiful green colour.

Christine, I just wanted you to know that I bought Jealousy Wakes from the Mac website the other day. The four from that line (Blogger’s Obsession) are all available under the going, going, gone tab. I picked up one of each, and I LOVE, LOVE Jealousy Wakes… You did a fantastic job on the color!!! It is BEAUTIFUL! So glad I got one! Get them while you still can folks! ~ Cathy
