Sneak Peek: Sephora Editorial PRO Eyeshadow Palette Photos & Swatches
Sephora Editorial PRO Eyeshadow Palette ($68.00 for 1.12 oz.) is the third new, limited edition palette from Sephora that launched last week. It features 28 shades in an “editorial color story.” The new PRO formula is supposed to have “high pigment” and “high performance” with a “smooth and “silky” texture and long-wear. I shared swatches of the Cool and Warm palettes, in case you missed those! This will be the last palette I test and review, so a review will be further out — so let’s take a look at swatches of the Editorial palette in the meantime!
IDK, this was the kit I was most interested in, but it looks like a mixed bag. Surprisingly, the bold shades are impressive looking, esp. Chris!
Weird to see a palette wherein the mattes swatch better than the shimmers. Can’t wait for the full review to see how they all wear tho.

Some shades are nice, but about 6 are looking chalky. $68 is too much for a sephora brand. I will pick it up- maybe- if it’s on sale for 20 bucks.
The brights are so pigmented and beautiful! Ice sucks (sorrynotsorry). And Helen P? *SWOON*!!! I could almost buy it for that color alone.
And the similar shades in all the palettes. Like glitter with no base. Maybe you can tap it in the center for a wee sparkle over some real color….
This looks FAR more interesting than either of those other 2! This has some A- to A+ shades in it, I think.
Although, yet again dupesville, I’ve got UD Electric Palette and Tenant, along with some very complex and/or bright shades from ColourPop and MAC.
I wonder what the quality of these look like – these would be fantastic for first-timer to makeup!
I have to agree with Bea…sixty eight bucks is too much money for a Sephora palatte. What happened, their brand used to be affordable? The quality is NOT there for the amount of money they are charging. Some of those matte shadows (Chris) are very impressive. To me, at that price point, all shades must be on point. Maybe down the road if they offer a fair price but it’s a pass right now.
It’s still pretty affordable at around $2.40 per shadow. You’ve got to keep in mind that you’re getting 28 shades. This is over twice the size of an urban Decay Naked palette and only $14 more dollars.
At first I thought Ice is a tragic mistake, but the more I look at it, the more I think it’s doing what it was designed to do (add a layer of”frostiness” to another color) — especially given the presence of Silver Coin. All in all a nice collection: bright, pigmented mattes with okay shimmers and metallics. Overall, $2.38/single? I consider that reasonable for decent shadows which most of these appear to be. I don’t need it because I don’t use bright mattes, and I have the UD Spectrum palette.
The purple in this (Adi?) looks amazingly good and purple seems a difficult colour to get right. I’m not someone who would wear 3/4 of the shades in this but I do love that purple along with White Gold, Champagne, Lou (even though it’s the name of my loathsome ex-brother in law!) and David. So I’ll be eager to see the dupes for these if you do a full review, Christine (fingers crossed! what a lot of testing for you, you trooper!)
Am I the only one who thinks they should have stuck to one theme when naming eyeshadows? Either use typical shadow names or people’s names. Not both. Stick with one theme!

Lots more shimmers and a few pretty shades, but still the quality just does not seem to be there.
This ought to have been better overall, bec they did the hard things well, and the easier, maybe not so much. I do think this is the best of the bunch, quite dupable, somewhat uneven, and a tad pricey. All of these are more suitable for the not overstashed. Given my wishlist, all three will prob be passes. I’ve had good luck with S shadows, smaller palettes and singles. Mega palettes, no matter what the brand, usually seem to have a few shades that do not measure up. But, there are a lot of highly usable shades, and if you want to do a monochromatic, colorful look, the crease and browbone look covered. Not sure that this is a good direction for a house brand.

Woah, I just have to say the looks you created with this palette are completely stunning, wow!
Aside from predictable problem shades this looks like a fairly solid palette.
