Does anyone know if these will be online only? Somehow I doubt it. I’ve had fairly good luck with S brand shadows, although they aren’t always top tier or fully reliable. For the amount/selection, these are value priced, but it’s still an outlay one should think about. Rather swatch it instore.

Annsley Lucas Avatar

They are online starting today on Sephora’s site and already in a few stores. I just picked up all three late in the day and they were still in stock. I haven’t seen much press around them yet which might be why.

Christina D. Avatar

I saw these on Sephora.com this morning but restrained myself. They look lovely but Sephora products (especially eye shadows) can be very hit-or-miss. I’m going to be patient and see if any of my trusted bloggers do reviews (I’m looking at you, Christine, and Isabelle at musingsofamuse)!

But they really look nice and I want them all, especially the cool one!

kjh Avatar

Yeah, guys, think that will be the general consensus. We’re glutted with warms and there is a conspicuous dearth of cools. Remember that Muse swatches with foam applicators an Christine with finger/no primer, if either decides to review these. All 3 of these palettes for Christine would be worse than the Audacious or ND reviews. They might take more time than is warranted to spend on them. And the holiday bazaar is just about to open. Pipeline and bottleneck city! After all, it is July! Sarcasm is the tool of those who cannot say something meaningful or brilliant. Ms C: seems as if you choose to review only one, for a general feel of the product, cool is the way to go.

Zoe Avatar

I can’t believe I haven’t read this bit of your site before! The level of detail and consistency in photography and swatching technique is so professional (and appreciated)! This blog is a cut above the rest.

Christina Avatar

Totally agree! A cut give the rest is an understatement, you set the standard! That was a fascinating read. I always wondered why there were two lip photos and was never able to find the answer myself. I read the whole FAQ. Thank you ?

You might highlight that information as an occasional feature on the blog instead of tucked away in the FAQs. Like a Behind the Scenes at Temptalia feature. I think people would love it! Kind of like when you highlight the technology improvements that are made on the site. I always find them fascinating also.

I rarely comment but I read here every day, Temptalia is my first click each morning. No joke. Want to also commend you for maintaining a professional, positive environment for members of your community. There is too much unnecessary drama in the makeup world lately. Keep up the good work! Even with the holiday rush impending remember you have so many people rooting for you. ?

Christine Avatar

It’s linked on every page in the footer – Review FAQ, which seems to be the most effective place to include it without it getting buried and make it easily accessible. At least, that’s normally where I see other blogs and sites (and retailers) list their FAQs :). I could maybe try to find a way to add it in the comments info?

Thank you, Christina!

Zoe Avatar

I think I was reading an article the other day about the makeup industry and they mentioned this blog as the closest thing we have to consumer reports. I never thought about it that way, but it fits! We are so lucky to have such a great resource.

I can’t believe I wasn’t the only one to not know why there were always two lip photos. I assumed it was immediate application vs dry-down.

But the FAQ clears a lot of things up for me! I think I zoom past it after finishing a review to get to the commenting area. Putting it somewhere in the top navigation bar would be my suggestion to help it be more prominent and clicked on. I just realized it’s on the bottom of the page (which fits with a trend in web design at the moment), but I guess I didn’t notice it.

Pearl Avatar

Very similar looking to Natasha Denona, at least in layout. These look great. I hope these are in store – my neice will be out visiting and I’m planning on taking her to Sephora. If the quality is there, these would be a great to start a wardrobe/collection for her.

AJ Avatar

These look nice, but given the iffy performance of past Sephora brand palettes, I’m really skeptical of the $68 price tag. I’d hesitate to spend that much on a palette from any brand, even with this many colors in it!

Katherine T. Avatar

I saw promo swatches, and they looked pretty good! I’ve been hit-or-miss with Sephora shadows, but this is supposed to be their Pro formula, which is supposed to be better. I’m eyeing the bold palette, hope you will review or swatch

Hannah Avatar

The Cool one is giving me Lorac MegaPro 1 vibes with all those purple/gray tones. It’s beautiful. I love the warm one, Some of the shades are really interesting. The Editorial one could actually be really interesting. It’s got loads of wearable every day ones, and some really fun things. I bet some of those brights would work really well as liners, too.

Mariella Avatar

I’ve actually had really excellent experiences with Sephora’s eyeshadows but I’ve picked from amongst the singles and I’ve never been disappointed. But these palettes look MASSIVE….almost too massive for a mere mortal like me to use on a daily basis. I’ll be interested to see how they perform, though (it’s hard to imagine that in such large palettes, there won’t be a few duds). Unless it’s how the colours appear on my monitor (entirely possible), both the cool and warm palettes look kinda lacking in light highlight/brow-bone shades though Powder and Linen (Cool) may be lighter and less pink than they look on my screen (I’m hoping, from the names, that they are).

Kelsey Avatar

I have a friend who works at Sephora and he got sneak peek access from a class for this palette! The swatches were to die for, but not sure how they perform on the eyes! Would love to hear your thoughts Christine! Xx

Ameerah Avatar

So, excited for this. I want to see your review on the warm toned one first before I purchase this. I don’t have the ND sunset palette, but this looked very similar! If the shadows are good quality, then it will be a steal at almost half the price of the ND one!

Pami Avatar

So nice to see a cool leaning palette! I’m excited to find out how they review. IDK why, but I usually expect a store brand to perform poorly, but I know that’s not always the case.

Ari Avatar

I went to go pick up the editorial palette today. It exceeded my expectations. It’s a good quality palette. It swatches beautifully not patchy at all. I can’t wait to do a look with it.

Vicki Avatar

I thought these looked nice until I saw this video of someone swatching the cool palette. It was a total mess with tons of kickup and a lot of the shades were not very pigmented. I think she could have used a better brush for swatching but even so, I wasn’t impressed, especially for how expensive the palettes are. I will try to post the youtube link here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbZ2chC01Y8

Maggie Avatar

Thanks for the post! Agreed with the brush selection and the price point for quality. I think I will wait for a more in-depth review to see about application but it’s too bad. All these palettes have great color schemes and I KNOW Sephora makes great shadows (judging by their singles and KVD selection).

Zoe Avatar

I guess I don’t have the same experience as others on here… Sephora shadows for me tend to be pretty great! Not perfect, but not noticeably inconsistent. These palettes are a natural decision for Sephora’s house brand and I like how they made warm, cool, and bright assortments. Great packaging and the naming reminds me of Lorac’s style of palettes.

Genevieve Avatar

The difference between some of these palettes is minimal and there seems to be a lot of replication of certain red, pink and orange shades. I think these palettes are way too big. Much better to do a 16 pan one and get it right.
So I will wait for the reviews.

Deborah S. Avatar

Finally a relatively cool palette. I hope it swatches and performs well. If so it is a definite buy for me. I just watched a couple of swatch videos of the palettes and seems like the cool toned palette is a bit of a mixed bag but overall the warm palette is better. Really didn’t see the Editorial palette. Anyway, I will wait for reviews before buying, much as I would love to snap it up right now. I also think the Editorial palette looks nice.

Anne Avatar

Oh, my goodness! I’m torn between the cool and the bright colors. The warm one is screaming dupe city since I have the Huda Rose Gold palette, the Too Faced summer nudes and the Natasha Denona Star palette. I think I’m leaning towards the cool even though I’m warm toned. ALL of them have 5 star reviews on Sephora (viewed via the app). Just when I was trying to quit buying so much makeup, eyeshadow in particular…interested in seeing swatches and reading more reviews.

Lindsey Avatar

I swatched both the warm a cool palette in the store and I was very pleased with the pigmentation and quality. I just have so many palettes in my collection right now, so I don’t know if I could justify spending any more money on any of them. The editorial palette is very pretty and different than what I have, so if I did pick one up it would probably be that one. I think Sephora has really stepped up their game in terms of presentation and quality and IMO are quite underrated compared to other brands. I think the warm palette is so much better than the UD Heat palette and is comparable to the ND sunset palette (too pricey). The palettes are a great value too. In any case, regardless of who swatches what. it is about personal preference and taste. Yes, the palette is big, so it may not appeal to everyone, but I think Sephora did a fantastic job with these! It would have been nice if they made them permanent though.

Rachael Avatar

I do like these but that price point! I feel like I could buy a few Morphe palettes I’ve been lusting after for that price, or the Ride or Die palette. Maybe if it goes on sale I’ll pick one up but frankly I’m not wanting to pay that price for shadows that I’ll never hit pan on. They do look pretty though.

Robin Avatar

I feel like I’ve seen a unicorn!!! Someone made a nice looking cool toned palette! lol
Will wait for a review. Right now I’m waiting for the Persona to come back in stock. Nice range of shades and the price wasn’t bad, but the cool palette is tempting!!!

LoveAlwaysMakeup Avatar

I just wanted to point out to those commenting about Sephora eye shadows being hit or miss or not worth the 68 dollar price tag because the quality isn’t that great in their shadow palettes, etc. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME FORMULA. This palette is called the Sephora PRO palette – not because it is big, has a ton of shades, colors, etc – its because they have been developed, chosen and formulated by the Sephora PRO team of established professional makeup artists. Which is much different from the normal generic Sephora eyeshadow singles and palettes. If you see these palettes in person and swatch them yourself you will kick yourself and hand over your money – TRUST ME. My store had all three of these PRO palettes and I was able to purchase the Warm palette and the Editorial palette. I will be buying the Cool palette next week as well. These shadows are VERY pigmented, ultra smooth, blend like a dream and are better quality then I EVER imagined. I am looking forward to the full review of each of them, but I have to say I just bought three of the new Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palettes which I really love at 49 each and these new Sephora PRO palettes BLOW THEM OUT OF THE WATER. Even difficult matte shade colors that are notorious for being patchy, not pigmented and hard to work with are buttery, soft, pigmented and smooth. I truly hope that Sephora expands this line. If I could only have one eyeshadow palette for the rest of my life I would honestly and truly choose one of these (this is coming from someone who moved her master bedroom OUT to make it a makeup room – I ran out of space in every other room in the house).

JEL Avatar

LoveAlwaysMakeup, I hope you’re right. I’ll wait to test (them all) myself, not that I don’t trust Christine, but everyone’s technique, skin (oil), brushes, etc., are not the same. And at that price for a Sephora brand and my past experience with there eyeshadows (not bad, but like some said, hit-or-miss for the mattes and metallics), I need to try them. That said, they look really pretty, but since I have Natasha’s Sunset palette and Morphe’s Ready, Set, Gold palette, the warm one wouldn’t make sense for me to purchase. The cool palette could be a good one for me, and I think really nice Fall 2017 colors coming off of the Sunset palette. The Editorial palette is also not bad, as I like the mix and bright, lights and warm shimmers. It really looks like a palette you could use on a photo shoot or weddings (seems universal). So even though I have a couple of palettes that have most if not all of the Editorial’s shades, I don’t have any palette that has the combination it does, so I may have to keep an eye out for it’s arrival in Sephora (France). Thanks for the heads up Christine!!!!

JEL Avatar

Ooooooo! The warm palette though looks like a Morphe palette and is much like the colors we’ve seen all this year, especially for the summer.
