More Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow with #9

Giorgio Armani Rock Sand (9) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a warm, golden champagne with a little beige and bronze finished with a metallic sheen.  I liked this one better dry than wet, just because it seemed to give a smoother finish when applied dry.  As one of the lighter shades of the line-up, it seems less intense, but in reality, I think it’s merely the color’s natural lightness that gives that illusion, because it covers my skin fully so it’s not sheer.

The eyeshadow can be worn alone, as a base, on top of bases, with other eyeshadows, and so on and so forth.  They’re really versatile products, and when I wore this as a wash (without a base), I had no creasing or fading after twelve hours.  It has a really interesting texture, too, because it almost feels like a cream, kind of wet, very smooth, but it’s a really tightly packed loose powder.  You can use it wet or dry, and you can use fingers or brushes, though I tend to use a brush (I like MAC’s 239 or 242).

Though pricey, each shade comes with 0.14 oz. worth of product, which is a hefty amount (normal eyeshadow averages around 0.05 oz., no matter the price).  The only aspect I didn’t love was the little black stopper inside the jar (once you unscrew the black lid), because my longer fingers felt awkward grabbing it (so I just unscrew it upside down so it falls into the cap).

Oh, I’m so glad you reviewed this because I was thinking about getting it! Do you think it would pull orange on cool-toned skin?

Wow, this color is gorgeous! It kind of reminds me of Stila Kitten or UD Sin on steroids! I am loving these eyeshadow colors from the swatches you’ve provided… I need to keep myself away from anywhere that sells these, or else I’ll be way too tempted to get them all!

Oh no! I have 5 of the L’Oreal ones and they are really good (and much more affordable) though I am still in total lust over GA Red Lust, LOL!

I often wonder why global brands release different products in different countries… I understand certain brands like Urban Decay or Milani not being available in NZ (boo!) but it seems so strange to have such huge brands with so many products not available in certain areas. For instance, I can’t get L’Oreal HIP products (the liners look awesome), Lancome Mandarin Sky or Estee Lauder Radiant Peach blushes here and it kind of peeves me off because they look so lovely!

These seem to consistantly deliver, especially in terms of texture.. As Jessi has said, you’re doing a great job of making me want them all! XD Are there more to come, and would you be reviewing their Eyes to Kill palettes (seems like they would be a better deal money-wise)?

Okay, so Lust Red is only a matter of time, but some of these other shades are calling my name!

Thank you for posting reviews on these. You’re really awesome, you know?

I really wish I can justify buying this, but I really can’t.. considering I can get a UD palette for the price.. but OH! How much do I want it! Especially the Khaki one, ugh >_<

I think this is the one for me! The color is gorgeous and will go with a ton of looks. To me, it’s worth the price if it’s something I will wear often and feel great in.
