I love MAC Boy Bait cremesheen glass as a lip gloss. It’s nude, sheer and feels like butter on the lips.
I don’t usually buy a lipstick unless I really love it – but then I tend not to wear them very often..so I’ll say all my lipsticks (which aren’t very many) I generally stick to gloss.
Lip liner is not a must at all.

Is lip liner a must? Not really. I’ll use it if I’m wearing a lipstick or gloss that has a tendency to bleed, but most of the time I can live without it.

I never use lip liner. It’s a hassle – it only makes sense with dark colors and I want dark lipsticks that last forever and don’t bleed in the first place because I’m too lazy to reapply all the time.
Lipgloss: MAC love nectar and nymphette, always staples in my bag
Lipstick: MAC Russian Red and Girl About Town. They are both long-wearing brights that look fantastic but I rarely wear bright lip colors these days.
Is liner a must: Only when I’m wearing really bright colors to sharpen the lip line and prevent feathering, but I do enjoying wearing a neutral liner on long makeup days.
HA! All of my responses were the same, with the exception of Nectar. Gonna have to try that next!
-I don’t usually wear gloss, but Clinique superbalm in black honey is an essential! So moisturizing, perfect for casual days, and really does work on every skintone.
-I think the limited edition Shu Uemura lipstick in Jupiter Brown is such a perfect rosey nude, but I rarely wear mine because I don’t want to use it up!
-I think lip liner is a must for bold colours to keep them from fading too unevenly, but lighter, sheerer colours don’t need it.

I bought 3 pink lady gaga lipsticks but I thought it was my HG but after a few weeks I looked in themirror outdoors and realized it was way brighter than i thought so I love wearing it around the house lol. And I won’t return them cus it was for charity and is LE.
Idk never used it but I’m planning on getting in synch and naked tomorrow!
1st: I love All Night Long by NARS. Great everyday lipgloss.
2nd: MAC Neon Orange. It looks amazing but I don’t have many outfits matching this shade + most of the time it just feels out of place.
3rd: I don’t think it’s necessary to wear a liner.

I completely agree with Toxic Tale. I had to get that one too, I did think it should have been a summer color though. So, I plan on wearing for the next couple of months, but I don’t know how I would balance it out with the rest of my makeup. Any ideas?
I’d wear it with bronzer, tightlined lashes, a brightening eyeshadow that’s not too in-your-face (like a light wash of Stila Kitten, or if you’re NC35 like me something like Lithe or Naked pigment). 🙂
Lipgloss: I don’t have any, as of now. I like Covergirl’s Amazemint lipgloss and NYX’s Megashine Lipgloss more than others.
Lipstick: Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick in Jing-a-Ling is a beautiful pink color, but wears off in under an hour 🙁
Lip liner: It isn’t a must for me, but it’s nice when I want ultra-defined lips.
i ABSOLUTELY love the colour of jing a ling- but at the end of the day it melts all over my face making it look like i was making out with a sticky popsicle all day. fail.

I found Chanel Ming RA to be a better wearing version of Jing-a-Ling. Obviously pricey, though. :/
oh man i thought i was the only one who had problems with benefits lipsticks. jing a ling is beautiful but like you said.. not even an hour for me!

Lipgloss you can’t live without: That would be either MAC’s Nymphette (it goes with EVERY look) or MAC’s Hot House (because it’s SO pretty for nighttime wear).
Lipstick you love but rarely use: MAC’s Snazzy dazzle lipstick. It’s so pretty and I love it, but I don’t reach for it very often at all.
Is lip liner a must?: With brightly-colored and highly pigmented lipsticks, I think they are. Those kind of lipsticks tend to bleed on me or feather out horribly if I don’t have lip liner on. For sheer and more wearable colors, though … I can skip the liner.
Lipgloss you can’t live without? MAC Extra Amps Dazzleglass is the one I go through the most – Just cause it’s so versatile. But if MAC Clear Lipglass counted, I’d have to vote for that one – Cause I mix my own glosses more often than not and I use it all the time for that!
Lipstick you love but rarely use? Saint Germain by MAC and No She Didn’t by Lime Crime. I love both of them but it’s so hard to talk someone into wearing either 😉
Is lip liner a must? Nah… Not really for me – Especially if you’re using a really matte lipstick. I use Ruby Woo all the time – It’s like a lipliner on it’s own 😉 Haha!

– I only like to use this when I have my eyes nicely done, which I only do when I’m going out to somewhere nice.
I don’t believe I need lip liner for anything. I was told I would need one for a red lip, but I like to sheer out my lipstick with a balm anyways. I like a sheer stained look for bright colours rather than a full on lipstick.

My gravitational pull is always towards MAC’s VV Amp. Violetta!
And Liner is A MUST with darker colors to prevent feathering.

Lipstick you love but rarely use? MUFE Rouge Artist #14. I want to wear it every day, but it’s just sooooo vampy on my pale face.
Is lip liner a must? I own a few, but never use them. I don’t like the extra layer. For OCC Liptars, I’ll use UD Ozone to hold it in place.
I can not live without my MAC C-Thru. It was the very first lipglass I purchased years ago and is still my favorite.
I LOVE MAC Lustering, but working in the corporate world office 5 days out of the week makes it difficult to wear that color.
Lip liner is not really a must…I only wear it from time to time.
Lipsgloss – A tie between MAC Viva Glam V and MAC Nymphette Lipglass
Lipstick – Tough one, but I do like the MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Unlimited but I guess I have to go with MAC Thrills lipstick from the To The Beach Collection in 2010.
Lip Liner – It depends really. If I know I’m going somewhere where I’m going to be photographed a lot or I won’t have time to touch up then yes. For everyday, probably not.

Lipgloss you can’t live without? That’s a hard one. For some reason, I’m really attracted to MAC’s shimmery yellow & green glosses. I love to wear Spring Bean, Jealous & Just a Smidge. They look really neutral but flattering on the lips.
Lipstick you love but rarely use? Practically all of them because I’m more of a gloss girl. I tend to wear peach-toned lipsticks or the your-lips-but-better shades most often.
Is lip liner a must? No. I do like to wear it under lip gloss sometimes, though. Subculture under Ample Pink is very pretty.
1. Not really a gloss person, and none of the lipglasses I own are ones I love.
2. I love MAC Lady Danger but I feel like it draws too much attention to my mouth and at the moment I have braces. So when those come off, I’ll get my teeth whitened and wear all the bright colours I want!
3. I don’t wear lip pencil, but I do like MAC lip erase to blank out my lip line so lipstick goes on crisply.

i dont use lipgloss, i love mac pink friday- i use it when i go out all the time but on a regular everyday to work i dont wear lipstick, lip liners are not a must always- with nude lipsticks like myth i can only wear if i pair it up with oak lip liner and red lipsticks i feel should always be paired with a lipliner to give it that precise clean look and same with some brighter colors like petals and peacocks looks good with magenta lip liner. i do love lip liners though because they make my lips look fuller

Lipgloss you can’t live without? I don’t much like gloss and I don’t wear it often, but Revlon Superlustrous Lipgloss in Nude Lustre is lovely. It has a nice texture and smell, and the colour is neutral enough to go with a more dramatic eye but has enough colour to brighten my face in a more natural look.
A lipstick I love but rarely use is probably Chanel Rouge Coco in Rivoli, which is a stunning red and looks so glamourous, but I just don’t find enough occasion to wear it. I’m not quite brave enough to wear it during the day. It just screams “Look at my mouth! Look at me! Look how daring I am!”
I don’t feel the need to wear lip liner at all, even with a bright colour. It doesn’t feather on me or anything, so I don’t see a reason to wear lip liner.

Is lip liner a must?: Not for me, no. I never have problems with bleeding/feathering. I have very full lips & I find it makes my lips look overdone & too full if I use a lip liner. The only time I use it is to line & fill in for red lipstick & dark lipstick because the fading with red & dark lippies is horrendous.

Although, I’ve started using Urban Decay’s Ozone lipliner (clear) recently and have found it makes my lipstick last a lot longer so I may find that becomes a must-use!

A clear gloss of any kind. Buxom’s Krystal is a favorite, but I can make do with something else. I wouldn’t be able to make do without a clear gloss of some kind, though.

Depends on the lipstick. Some lipsticks REALLY need it because of texture issues and whatnot. Generally, no, though, it’s not a ‘must’.

I love my Chanel dragon laque but I don’t wear it too often. It’s sooooooooo gorgeous, but a pretty high maintenance color for me in that it’s a battle for me to keep it from feathering like mad.
Lip liner is something I use about half of the time. It’s only necessary for darker colors for me 🙂

Lipstick I love but rarely use- my Lime Crime lippies- especially Centrifuschia (hot pink) and Retrofuturist (red) or anything bright, really. As a college student I wear a lot of jeans and sweats, which looks silly with super bright lipstick- and since I’m super pale, the red especially is veryy loud haha. Gonna work on that though 🙂
And I don’t know about lip liner being a must…I think it helps a lot, and I love love love my UD Naked liner, but since I don’t have a shade to match all my lip colors, I do just fine without it.

Lip gloss – CoverGirl Lipslicks in Cutie or Princess. They’re not sticky or glittery. They’re not too shiny. They’re in stick form, which I love. I dislike lip gloss you squeeze out of a tube. Too messy.

Is lip liner a must? – Not for me. It looks so dry half the time. It does make lipstick last longer, but I guess I’d rather just reapply.
Lipgloss you can’t live without: Right now it’s Revlon’s Super Lustrous in Nude Lustre. For the longest time it was MAC’s VGV lipglass until I discovered this one.
Lipstick you love but rarely use: MAC’s Pink Nouveau because it looks horribly gray-purple when worn alone and I’m too lazy to use liner.
Is lip liner a must?: NO unless I’m trying to wear MAC Pink Nouveau.

I almost never wear lipgloss, but the new formulas from Chanel and Guerlain (Extrait de Gloss and Essence de Gloss) are a nice middle ground for me. I wear Chanel Confidence and Guerlain Emoi pretty regularly.

Only for some colours and formulas. I usually reserve such high maintenance lips for special occasions.

NARS Schiap & Chanel Rouge Allure Dragon. I love those to death but it’s hard to wear them everyday (plus I don’t think it’s a “wearable” color for work, even though I still wear them once in a while just because I can’t resist to grab it every time I open my lipstick drawer :P)

Lipstick is something that I now just started wearing so I am still getting myself into the habit of putting it on and not just gloss…the first lady gaga is a colour that I love but is hard to pair up for me since I am very fair, but with yellow undertones so it takes some work…the other would be Russian Red and Lady Bug since I love them both but running a daycare out of my home means that I rarely get to wear dramatic makeup…
I hardly use lipliner at all just occasionally with red lipstick 🙂
Lipgloss- is my NYX Tanned. Its my no brainer. Non sticky & perfectly neutral.
Lipstick- Does a a lip tar count as a gloss or lipstick? But I am infatuated with hoochie lol.
Lip Liner- The only lip liner I ever use is UD Gash for when im wearing a red lip.

I’ve always had Lancome Juicy Tubes. They’re easy to wear and hydrating enough for glosses. For lipstick, I have a nice Shiseido red lipstick I don’t wear much, simply cause it’s so bright! Also, I’ve never owned lip liner cause my lips are quite full, and I’d just look stupid =/

-definitely not. its hard to match every shade of lipstick with a liner. for red, or really pigmented stuff, i usually just use a lipbrush very carefully then use a reverse lipliner on the edges just to make sure it wont seep. most of the time, no, so its not a must at all for me, even with dark colours. its actually quite a rarity. ive been trying to get into it an bought a few lately but to no avail. ah well!

I love love love Jordana’s InColor lip jelly pots. I know they are cheap, but they are so good! A bit of pigmentation and lots of shine <3 I feel so out of place saying that amongst all of the Chanel and MAC and Laura Mercier answers.
I actually don't wear any of my lipsticks much at all. How bad is that?
For me – lip liner is a must. I get huge amounts of feathering otherwise. For others, it really depends on who you are and how your lipstick works for you, IMO.
I seldom use lip gloss and lip liner but one lipstick that i really like but rarely use is MAC Violetta.

Chanel Rouge Coco Rouge Noir – Looks so dramatic against my very fair skin and I love it but my boyfriend says it makes me look like a vampire and so I never wear it anymore!
I hardly ever war lip-liner but do have one for rouge noir and a Mac one for Red lips. Only if I’m wearing a dramatic lip look and need it to fade nicely really!

There’s no lipgloss I can’t live without, but I love lip balm. Using By Terry Baume de Rose at the moment, and it’s very luxurious – but I get just as good results with Blistex!
I love Revlon Cherries in the Snow but for some reason I never reach for it. I think it’s because it feels like my hair and outfit needs to be immaculate all day. R

And I wear mine anywhere – while i’m out shopping, going out to eat, out clubbing, to a festival, to the beach, I work promo gigs and wear them to that too, anywhere except my professional work area.
