I’d have to say Vino, by MAC. I absolutely love the color but it never goes on smoothly and it is so soft that you end up with smudges all over your face. Not pretty – especially if you have fuller lips!

i agree, vino was the first one i got and i HATE it, took me ages to cave and buy another which was in synch and is much better 🙂

The cream “automatic” style liners. I purchased both Pink Treat and Summerfruit ( different times, different stores) and both had the back fall off and the product inside dried very quickly.
I think I also just dislike twist up liners of any varietal because it’s either too hard or too soft, and I inevitably break it off in pieces. Boo! Hiss!

expensive lip liners. As a high-end make up fiend,I always find myself thinking that there are so many good cheap eye liners that the high price tags seem very unnecessary.

It hurts me to say this but I too am not a fan of MAC. I used to buy them exclusively and I have just recently started to branch out to other brands, especially those that are reliable (NARS Orgasm, UD 24/7 liners). For me, MAC liners don’t do anything to help their lipstick stay. I’ve always thought the point of a good lip liner is to give you a clean decisive line and to help your lipstick stay and NOT bleed. Every time I use MAC lip liners, I end up looking like I made out with a clown; NOT pretty. I just tried aqua lip and no bleeding or mess! Glad to know there is something out there that works, I had pretty much given up on being able to wear lipstick. Sorry MAC!

I don’t have brand names to give you – but boy have I tossed out more lip liners than I can count..mostly because they are dry and don’t last. Occasionally I will toss one that I made a mistake on the shade. I pretty much have jumped on the bandwagon of no lipliner for the past 2 years. If I reach for one – it’s always a waterproof nude shade and I put it all over my lip as well as cheat the top lip line.

Revlon Colorstay. It’s too waxy and drying (even more than usual for a l/l) and when I was almost done with it, the rest of it popped out of the plastic pencil! Shoddy packaging…

I’ve only bothered to buy about 4 lipliners in total and all of them disappointed me enough that I won’t buy anymore. Clinique made an automatic lipliner that broke first try (wouldn’t turn to produce product) and Rimmel ones are so dry they pull and skip a ton…Bleh
