Do you use face primer everyday? If so, what’s your go-to?
I don’t, but I’m generally only out for a few hours with makeup on and then come home and remove it. Â If I plan to be out for longer periods of time, then I do wear a primer!

Yup. I find that powder foundation in particular doesn’t have much staying power without it, and that’s frequently the quickest kind to put on because I don’t find that powders create any sort of foundation line.
I use a primer mostly everyday because I wear foundation to work and I have oily skin. It really helps to keep it looking fresh.

never! i’ve tried smashbox and a few others frm sephora and even a drugstore one which broke me out. overall i dont feel it makes my makeup that much better and i dislike the extra step. also i feel it’s not good for your skin and feels too excessive for everyday.
Pretty much what I was about to type. MAC’s broke me out, as have all others I’ve tried. Primers don’t play well with my dry skin areas. Eek!
I try to, since I feel I have very porous skin, I really love Perfekt Skin Perfecting Gel & Benefits Porefessional but on ocassions I use Benefits That Gal (came with the Concealaholic Kit)
No. I use one about half the time in the summer and much less frequently in the winter. To prep my skin for foundation in the winter, I just use moisturizer. I have oily combination skin, and I don’t find that primer usually significantly improves the application or wear of my foundation.
Yeah, I use it everyday. It really helps my makeup to stay fresh for a long time, specially during the summer. The weather is so hot and humid here in Rio that your makeup literally melts down, so I feel like primer is a must for me.
If I’m out for several hours I use MAC Prep+Prime FPS 50 but if it’s just for a few hours I use L’Oreal Studio Secret.

Only on my nose and forehead, because I have huge pores there, and it makes them less noticable.
Only under my eyes, it helps concealer stay put.
I dont use it everyday, because I dont wear foundation everyday.
I only wear it when i’m going out or something and then i use my primer from Mac.
I need my make-up to look as fresh as possible for 12 hours of the day, primer is a must for me. With a primer I find I only need a concealer top up after about 9-10 hours. Without a primer my foundation and concealer will wear off before 6 hours is up.
for me primer is a must, the idea of the ones in asia is to separate your skin from harm of the environment (dust, dirt) and the chemicals of makeup seeping into your skin.
No. I have dry sking so sometimes I’m better of w/o a primer. I only use a primer for a night out clubbing, in that case I use smashbox!:)
often but not always, depends what skincare & foundation I’m using. I have some moisturizers where primers tend to pill but I usually use primer w/ powder foundations to prevent settling.

no, as I don’t need it my foudation stays putt all day and doesn’t settle in my large pores on the cheeks. i only use primer when I attend weddings, etc. . . I don’t even use it on night outs as in a club noone would notice a light foundation fading anyway
I sort of go in phases. For a while, I’ll use it daily and then I’ll get out of the habit. I have to say that I really don’t like a lot of layers on my face and that’s probably another issue behind my inconsistent use.
I use Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25 as a primer. I have VERY oily skin and is the only primer that keeps me from being oily and helps my foundation glides on smoothly.
I don’t generally wear one, no. It just feels like I’d be layering too many produts when I do that. Occasionally, if I feel my skin needs it for one reason or another, I’ll smooth over some Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch in the area right below my lips, around my nostrils and the area between my eyebrows towards the middle of my forehead.
I do wear primer every day! Praise Laura Geller’s spackle (I’m digging the champagne right now). I’m a news anchor/reporter and my make-up has to last, because sometimes I do not have time to touch-up.
YES! haha, i have oily skin with large pores so i find it a necessity to do! 🙂
What primer do you use Soley?
I don’t. And I live where its humid. I do use Revlon Colorstay foundation though and that baby lasts for hours.
On days I really need my make-up staying put all day or for nights out I used my Proactive daily oil control gel, which acts as a great primer.
Most days I do use a face primer. My favorite face primer is Fyrinnae’s Velvet-Gel Silica face primer. I’ve been using that with Too Faced’s Amazing Face liquid foundation and having truly amazing results.
Yup. I use The Body Shop’s matte it face primer. Honestly, I haven’t noticed
a huge difference, but I still use it. Yeah, I’m weird like that though.
Yes I do! Helps my make up go on smoothly and stays on for hours. Which is what I need for a long work day. I use the sephora brand primer.
I don’t wear a primer everyday since all I do is go to school but when I do wear it I use Hard Candy Sheer Envy primer. It really helps my makeup last longer and apply very smoothly. Plus it is super cheap!
Yes! Not everyday (just because I am forgetting it) but very often. It really helps my make up last all day! I love wearing foundation as I believe that it protects my skin, so primer is a must! Besides, climate here in Greece is so humid. I use LAURA MERCIER’s hydrating primer (during winter) and oil-free primer (during summer). It’s fantastic!

Yes! i have dry skin, and wear makeup every day for work. I find that if I don;t use primer, my face has dried out and is feeling tight by lunchtime. My faves are Chanel Base Lumiere, Clarins Flash Balm and Napoleon Auto Pilot Primer. Couldn’t live without it – not to prime is a crime =)

The one I am using now (and quite suprised at the great job it does) is Sephora’s matte primer. It’s a decent amount of product for the price and it works!
I don´t. I have 3 different primers but I feel I use so many products together (moisturer, sunscreen, foundation,….)so I use primer only in special occasions. But I would like to.
I would but I ran out of mine totally! That MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50 ran out really quickly for me and I have no idea why! LOL I keep squeezing it and all I get is the sound of air, so I guess that means I’m just fresh out! LOL
Always if I’m wearing makeup – which is most days. MUFE HD primer, currently using green but I don’t really see a difference in redness between that and the white/neutral!

For sure.. without it my skin gets way too shiny. Face Protect spf 50 from MAC. It works wonders!
Yes, I think everything goes on easier and looks nicer overall.
Only when i need my foundation to last awhile. it just seems wasteful if you are only gonna be out for a short period of time. Especially if your just running errands – even if you’re gonna be out for while, since on errands nobody is gonna be looking at you for more than a few seconds.
