Bobbi Brown Peony & Python Collection for Spring 2011

Bobbi Brown Peony & Python Collection for Spring 2011

“The pinks and purples in this collection are inspired by peonies, my favorite flower. Peonies are lush, decadent and delicate — just like the colors in the limited palette. I’ve also incorporated grey, a color that was big on the runways this season. A great neutral, it’s totally versatile and a cool counterpoint to pink. And because I love accessories just as much as the next girl, I asked Tibi to design a makeup case to match.” — Bobbi Brown

Peony & Python Palette ($50.00) (Limited Edition)

Inspired by lush peonies and the casual chic sensibility of world-renowned fashion label Tibi, Bobbi introduces the Peony & Python Palette. Soft pink lilacs merge with sumptuous greys to create a distinctive eye look that’s equal parts lovely and edgy. The shadows are housed in an eye catching compact embellished with a whimsical yet modern print created exclusively for Bobbi Brown by Amy Smilovic, designer and founder of Tibi.

The packaging is gorgeous. I don’t think the shades are that pigmented from what I’ve seen which is a shame. I’d like to check out the lipstick because I was really impressed with your review of the Rich Colour Lipsticks.

do You know, when it will be available in Europe? what about the set?is it only the presale that’s exclusive in Neimann or whole sale of the set will be limited to this shop?

feder Avatar

I really love it and hope, that will come to Germany, too. But it really reminds of the MAC Beauties Play it Cool-Palette – can you confirm this by comparison?
Best Regards, Feder

This is out in London now. I tried on the Lilac lipstick and it looked beautiful and wearable, at least in the department store light, on an NC45 person. I’m considering buying that, and maybe later on I’ll buy either Soft Coral or Sweet Nectar lipstick as well from that Rich Lip Color collection. Bare Pink looked good on me as well with a bit of brown lip pencil on; it’s comparable to MAC Cherish lipstick possibly.

Just bought today the peony python with the peony bronzer, love it, the bronzer has such a cute colour! I have never been a fan of Bobbi brown before because she used to focus on earth tone dark brown colours, but since she introduced more bright colours like pink, magenta, coral for lipsticks and soft pastels colours eyeshadows, I changed my mind and have become quite a fan, these few days I only haul from Bobbi brown, even am trying her skincare products, I find her products of good quality.

Am I really seeing a doe foot applicator on the gloss? That would be huge, one of my main complaints with Bobbi Brown are the awful brushes included with the lipgloss!

Lups Avatar

I was wondering if anyone else noticed the doe foot applicator!! And my main complaint with BB’s glosses are the price for the amount of product you get… they seriously look like a GWP sample!! It’s just sad because I love the quality of the lipglosses…

I tnis case the murdered another palette and added the broken shadows too there Hero shot. ^___^U

People stop killing the products it really doesn’t add depth of colour dimension for pressed eyeshadows.

I ordered in online. First I am a Huge Fan of Bobbi Brown but I did send it back which I rarely or almost never do. I thought the zipper was hard to work and my palette came with a Nic out of the fabric and that really bothered me. I think the colors are cute but I also realized I really already have them all. I want to go try the Lilac Lipstick when the counter has it in stock.

I just want them for lust is it bad? but a little pricey for me now.

will there be swatches? I want the NM exclusive but not sure for the palette maybe after seeing the swathes:))

Very pretty colours, going by the photos, but nothing I really need. And every time I see the word “Python” (especially capitalized), I cannot help thinking of Monty Python and laughing….”I’m not dead yet.” “We shall weelease Woger!”

I got Peony and Python palette from BB website. Well, I love the idea but color payoff is simply poor. It’s a cute palette though. So I’ll keep it.
