Spring Purples with Lancome Amethyst Glam

Spring Purples with Lancome Amethyst Glam

I wanted to see how this palette performed before reviewing it, so I did this quick look!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249.  Apply the pale white-pink eyeshadow to the inner half of the lid and tearduct with the 239.  Next, apply the soft lilac eyeshadow to the outer half of the lid with the 239.  Using the 222, apply the lilac purple eyeshadow to the crease and blend towards the inner crease.  Highlight the brow bone with Dune eyeshadow with the 239.  Apply Asphyxia liner on the lower lash line, and then apply Perversion liner on the lower water line.  Finish by sweeping lashes with Buxom Lash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Flush cheek stain on the apples of the cheeks and pat towards the temple with fingers.

For lips, apply Bikini Pink lipstick for a complementing lip.

I’ve been wearing them a whole lot and kinda ran out of different ways to wear them. Too bad I can’t afford to get this palette though. Guess I’ll have to see if I have any dupes in my MAC eyeshadows instead. Crease color looks like it might be similar to Creme De Violet, but I can never get that color to show up very much.

This look is so sweeeet! UD Asphyxia is just amazing! Truly matches the Lancome Amethyst palette. I love it <3

And BB Bikini Pink is now on my wish list 😀 Reminds me of MAC Overtime.

It’s raining in SoCal — bummer, but after I saw this post my mood perked up.. Spring is right around the corner! You look so fresh and glowing! I did circles around the Hourglass Cheek Stain last weekend, I think this picture is the extra nudge I needed to purchase it. Lovely as usual Christine 🙂

In the photos (on my screen at least) the crease colour looks similar to MAC Stars’n’Rockets. How does it compare in person?

Fantastic purples on you, by the way. Cool but not too cool 🙂

Christine, I notice in all of the close ups of your eye looks that your brows never show any stubble or stray hair. Do you have any tips or tricks for maintaining such a clean brow line?

Ooooh this is gorgeous. The crease color reminds me of Stars n Rockets. I like seeing you with lip combos (as opposed to just lipstick) best 😉 but I’m sure you are probably just trying to share some new lipsticks with us!

Love the eye – it’s so flawlessly blended! I’m on the fence with the fallout, though; I feel like it’s a little more noticeable in a look than it is when swatched, yeah? (And on that note, thank you so much for posting your FOTD with this one ^^)

Ooooh, I LOVE purple e/s! You look lovely and fresh and radiant 🙂

Bikini Pink is cute too, though I think it leans a little too peach for me – I’ll have to check it out in person and I *cannot* wait till these arrive in NZ!

holy CRAP this looks awesome! I’ve been on the fence about a few of these palettes, but seeing your look is doing me in with this one! I kept thinking “I already have 20 million purples” but I DO love having everything in a palette. SO much easier when I’m trying to hurry out the door and have like, 2 seconds to throw something together. I don’t wanna search for my individual purples.
