Looks - Chanel Beiges de Chanel for Silky Neutrals

Chanel’s Beiges de Chanel Quad is absolutely a delight to use! It’s my new favorite for neutrals, because the colors aren’t just beautiful, but they are so soft and silky during application.

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Chanel Beiges de Chanel Quad, Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Liner, Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Nuance mineralize blush (soft peach)
  • Lips: YSL Forbidden Burgundy rouge volupte lipstick (raspberry-wine), Givenchy Plum By Night Pop Gloss Crystal (sheer berry-pink)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Chanel Beiges de Chanel = Blanc Type, Patina, Woodwinked, Brun; Nuance = Honour

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the inner lid, apply the bottom left color to the mid-way point using your 239 brush. Apply the bottom right color of the quad to your outer lid using the 239 brush. Darken the crease using the upper left, dark brown color and gently deposit the color, being careful not to over-blend. Highlight brow and soften the area above the crease with the upper right color. Finish with Bourbon 24/7 Liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Nuance using the 129. Apply YSL Forbidden Burgundy lipstick to lips, and then top with Givenchy Plum by Night gloss for color and shine.

I bought the nail polish, “haute chocolat”. Still considering the quad but I’m not crazy about 2 of the 4 shades. The brown is GORGEOUS. I like the way you did your eyes with it!

Christine, do you have time (I know, silly question!) or do you know anyone who could do a CP? I called around to a few retailers and it sounds like the quad won’t be available in Canada. 🙁

Hey Christine! This is beyond gorgeous, really. I am so tempted to get this quad, but I’m still unsure about that chalky highlighter colour! I haven’t gotten a chance to swatch it on my own, but maybe I’ll pass by a counter and see whether they will try out a look on me.

I’ve actually been thinking about getting one of those mini UD 24/7 eyeliner pencil sets, but I wasn’t sure about all of the colours. Bourbon is one of them, and I thought it would just be sort of a boring, mucky brown…but it complements beige neutrals wonderfully! I think I’ll spring for that 5-pencil set then.

Hey Miss Fred! Hope you’re doing well this afternoon 🙂

I actually LOVE this quad. This is the first time I’ve liked a Chanel quad since getting into makeup. The highlighter doesn’t go on chalky at all–it might have felt like it on my hand, but nope, not when you use it with a brush on your eyes. My skin is dark enough that if it was chalky, you’d REALLY notice it, even as a highlight (ahem, Blanc Type!).

Oh, Bourbon is gorg. It’s not at all a boring brown. It’s a very warm brown with faint coppery-gold-brown shimmer, I would say. HTH! 🙂

I love your lip color! This is one of the best looks I’ve seen on you. Any recommendations for dups in MAC colors? I would love to try this combo for myself.

The colours look so..fluffy. And the look you did is so great! One of my faves! Neutral yet still outstanding eyes with a smashing lip color…wooow Christine! 😀

Christine,

Thanks for using the Chanel Quad. I’ve always steered clear because of the price, but I may break down and get this one!

The look is gorgeous, I’m a big fan of understated beauty but your eyebrows look fantastic! They are absolutely perfect. I can’t express to you how jealous I am!

I bought this quad when Chanel had one of their artists from Miami doing makeup in Pittsburgh. He did such an amazing job on my eyes – he did a smokey brown. Not really neutral – he used the bottom right color all over the lid and applied the bottom left over that. It made it dark gold’ish. He also applied the bottom right under the eye, on top of the black eye liner pen. Sorry I don’t have the names!! I’m being lazy!! I totally didn’t want to wash my makeup off – unlike when I usually get my makeup done at the mall – so much makeup I look garish!!

Hey Christine, I’m Lisa in Dallas. the Pittsburgh Lisa beat me to it! I’m glad for her comment-I’m definitely buying the beige quad now! Thanks!
