i would love, love, love to get laser hair removal!
Would consider botox if I needed it in my late 30’s-40’s when wrinkles kick in and get uncontrolable =P
I would consider getting botox for wrinkles in the future maybe when im in my 40s or so but for now that im in my 20s i will keep useing creams and serums and hopefully delay them from appearing anytime soon. I do want to get laser hair removal this coming year but im kinda worried that i may end up with some complication don’t really know how safe it is as i do not know anyone that has had it done.
Well, I wouldn’t do them. I think wrinkles are just a part of being human. Then again, I am as smooth as silk right now. Ask me again in about ten or twenty years.
Right now i’m still young so i dont need it but when I get older thats a story.
I’m pretty skeptical of any injection procedure because the industry seems to overemphasize the benefits while underemphasizing the potential risks.
Botox is a neurotoxin, and I consider my skin care and cosmetics to be an investment. When we go to such lengths to have healthy skin, why would I intentionally want to shoot it up (yes repeatedly since it usually wears off) with toxins? Restylane and Juv
there was a point i was like hell no id never get it done when i get older. Im 23 now and i have really fine lines under my eyes and it bugs the hell out of me.. im terrified of being old.. and yeh i would get something done…
Major surgery like a facelift frightens me, but I have a slightly droopy eyelid that is genetic that I will eventually have raised as it continues to droop over time (my grandmother’s lid started to impair her vision! I don’t want to wait THAT long). I would also like to have surgical procedures to lessen or remove acne scarring. Other than that, I’m in my 20s and I won’t say what I will do in 20 or more years, but I hope I’m still happy with myself, wrinkles and all. I wouldn’t do anything that isn’t totally proven to be safe.
I’m 22 and I had Botox injections done almost a week ago, 12 injections over my face and scalp. Not for cosmetic reasons, just another treatment we’re trying for my chronic pain. A $1,500 treatment I’ll be having every 3 months.. yikes! And it is not pleasant, I won’t lie. I’m still bruised and a bit swollen.
Anyways, I have nothing against fillers or Botox being used as COSMETIC procedures as long as the person having them has actually researched everything about it (rare) and are well-suited for the procedure, etc. To each their own. Personally, I have no use for Botox cosmetically, but if it helps my pain, I’ll continue to get it for the rest of my life.
As for fillers, I’ve considered getting juvederm to make my already full lips fuller… 🙂 but if I do that, I will have NOBODY supporting my decision, so it may be a while before I decide to have it done.

To Nepenthe – Botox injections do nothing to harm your skin! My skin is great, just the same as it was before I had it done. It’s not like the injections scar you, they’re miniscule………. And as far as you being skeptical about these sorts of cosmetic procedures, if you really did your research you would learn Botox is very safe, very effective (and when the other option is a surgical procedure, then it’s much easier, fast recovery, less risks, etc)… If someone isn’t happy with the results, the effects decrease in several months. Serious complications (most that aren’t very serious!) are extremely rare. So all in all, Botox is very safe, and when it’s used as a treatment for pain, it’s irreplaceable if it works. I’ve tried every type of medication available to me, and I’ve seen every type of specialist. If this proves successful for me, I’ll be having them done every 3 months for the rest of my life! Happily! And I’ll have a smooth face too 😀

i would get botox more if i had the money i never had problems with it and i rather pay for botox than 300 bucks for an anti aging cream

I’m actually quite familiar with not only the basic idea of the two procedures (botulism toxin vs hyaluronic acid injections), but the actual physiology behind them because of my science background. I also work in the health care field, so I’m quite familiar with how information is presented to the general public when it comes to various procedures, treatments and pharmecuticals. Based on that, I wouldn’t choose either injection as a cosmetic procedure for myself regardless of the statistics with others. If you’d like to discuss it further, you can PM on the forums. 🙂

The injection SITES are miniscule, I meant to say. The needle isn’t haha
I wouldn’t want to do it, but if I needed it for my job for whatever reason, I am not totally against it either.
No BoTox for me, I have no interest in having proteins injected that block neurotransmission, I like my synapses functioning properly. I know its safe and all that, I personally just don’t like introducing foreign chemicals into my body whenever possible.
Laser hair removal is probably the only thing I would consider. Each women to her own, but sticking a needle with some goo in my face doesn’t exactly appeal to me. Maybe it’ll change once I get more wrinkly but I’ve never been one to take any risks with my body (I know tons of people who’ve had laser eye correction, but that’s one thing I will never ever mess with).
im 28 and ive gotten restylane injected into my lips and botox into my forehead between my brows
i like both but it can get expensive because it doesnt last very long
I wish I could inject botox between my brows, but as of now it is too expensive. If it were more affordable, I would certainly do it.
