Lancome French Touch Color Design Eyeshadow Quad Review, Photos, Swatches

Lancome French Touch Color Design Eyeshadow Quad

Lancome French Touch Color Design Eyeshadow Quad

Lancome French Touch Color Design Eyeshadow Quad ($42.00 for 0.168 oz.) is a gorgeous, limited edition quad released for fall.  Aha! I thought I wasn’t going to be able to review this, but it is still available for purchase through HSN, and thus, I can.  It contains four shades:  a pale pink with satin sheen; warmed-up bronze; peachy pink with a gold metallic sheen; and berry burgundy.

The eyeshadows are rich in pigmentation and have a beautiful texture–soft, silky, and very easy to blend.  Everything about this palette is lovely except the amount you get — a pitiful 0.11 oz.!  We’re talking a palette here, which are usually a better value than singles, but whoa.  Most brands give you double the amount in this palette in their quads, so I was pretty disappointed by that.

(By the way, if someone could confirm the weight, that would be great–I am going by HSN’s page, as mine has a sample label with no box packaging, so there was no weight on my palette.  Does anyone else find it frustrating that brands do not always include the product’s size/weight?)

If you want to know more about how products are evaluated, read out Rating System FAQ! 🙂

  • Product: 28/30
  • Value: 7/10
  • Ease of Use: 4/5
  • Packaging: 4/5

FINAL THOUGHTS: If they gave you more for your money, I’d be more inclined to recommend it.  If quantity isn’t a concern (like you don’t often finish eyeshadows), then it’s more of a non-issue.  The quality is very nice, though.

WHERE TO BUY: HSN

What beautiful colors. But that is alot of money for such a little amount of makeup. So NOT worth the money. I will be taking a look at the dupes.

very beautiful but for someone like me who has melon pigment sample ( lasts long time ) cranberry & bronze e\s from MAC , this would be useless =(

Mac rubenesque paintpot also looks like a decent dupe for the peachy pink one though rubenesque is more gold/metallic. It also looks a bit like the way expensive pink looks on me. 🙂 but then again I’m nc35-40 so there must be a whole lot of color shifting going on when I wear certain colors 🙂

Two of those colors remind me a little of the NARS Kuala Lumper Duo but I could be wrong. Beautiful palette, too bad it’s a total rip off

Unrelated, but I just saw on MACs website that all the Blushcremes are being discontinued, is that true? I have to buy Posey immediately then!

What a beautiful collection.
Especially that peachy-gold shade.
I love working that shade into a look. It makes my blue eyes look really nice and it goes well with my supa pale complexion. 🙂

It actually look that a shaded between Mega Metal Shadows in Tweet Me (a bit more golden) and Melon pigment. It also looks like my OCC LOOSE COLOUR CONCENTRATES in Twill. I love these shadows shades for day wear which is why I have 4 of them. LOL

Wow what amazing colours, especially that pink/peach duochrome! I can see myself using all of them.

I don’t mind reduced quantities, because I generally don’t finish eyeshadow products in palettes.

All my Lancome palettes are 4×1.2 g/4×0.042 oz and I have several, both US and European versions. So unless they really changed the packaging, HSN is incorrect.
Thanks for the review! This quad wasn’t launched where I live, so it was great to see the swatches:)
