Liquid concealers tend to not be opaque … I need opaque for my natural dark circle. My skin being so pale is actually translucent in spots so everything shows.

I do however prefer Liquid concealers formula and am trying to make MAC’s Pro Longwear Concealer work with its medium coverage.

The only liquid concealer I really like is the MAC Pro longwear. I haven’t tried a lot of high end brands other than that, but all liquid concealers tend to be too sheer for me. I prefer cream concealers in general.

I agree! I love this stuff because it’s pretty opaque and lasts ALL day long. The only thing is that I’m usually an NC30 and had to settle for an NC20 because for one they don’t make an NC25 (which I would’ve preferred) and also because it seems to dry a little dark.

I can do without.

My first concealer was CoverFX Camoflauge. It was okay but after trying a cream concealer, I haven’t gone back. I now use MAC Studio Finish. It covers better, it applies quicker and more easily.

I don’t like liquid concealers as much as I do cream ones. I find I have much more control with cream than I do liquid. I do use liquid ones from MAC for when I want a more sheer look, but daily, I reach for cream.

I much prefer liquid; it glides on and is easily to blend. Right now I’m using Fresh’s Umbrian Clay Absolute Concealer–really good for undereye circles and also for zits.

I never liked liquid concealers. They always seemed too sheer to get the job done under my eyes. The creams were more opaque and covered the darkness but they tended to crease or they were too dry and collected in my wrinkles and made my skin look crepy. Then I tried Chanel Correcteur Perfection and my search was over! It’s perfect…just like the name says!

I think liquid concealers are easier to work with than ones that come in pots or stick form, since it seems to be easier to get a nice even coverage with less patchiness, but i hate that concealers in general tend to crack in my under eye area! Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or know of a product that won’t do this?

I prefer liquid concealers over cream ones. They are so much easier to blend. The cream ones always end up looking cakey on me. I am currently using L’Oreal True Match liquid concealer. The shade W4-5 matches my yellow skintone perfectly.

The downside of liquid concealer is that it can be too sheer. I learned that after applying concealer to the desired spots (don’t blend it yet), I should wait for a few minutes (I usually use this time to do my eye makeup), and come back to blend in the applied concealer. This way, the drying time allows the concealer to develop a thicker coverage but still maintain the ease of blending.

I just switched from mac studio finish to make up forever full cover and i love it!! i definitely had to try to get used to a new form but now i think ive found the right concealer form. and i like how they stay put rather than cream ones..cus cream tends to slide for me

I have this yellowish liquid concealer from Maybelline. Had it so long that the writing on it is totally worn off!
But I use it every day I put on make-up. I use a very small amount in the outer corners of my eyes, as they are reddish and it makes me look old and tired.
Works like a charm and very easy to apply.

For a spot or blemish, I use a cream concealer, but those I don’t use every day.

best for under eyes and on the face for me as they are light weight which is good as cream ones can be to heavy . On me i also feel that they look most natural as i has freckles and if i use a really high coverage concealer it looks un natural

rant: scent of thebalm’s new liquid concealer (heavily medicinal) but I’m usually a balm fan

rave: maybelline’s double ended age rewind. covers, blends and sets well, lasts, doesn’t settle into lines, surprisingly good highlighter on the other end. have been using this since it came out and like it better than anything high end except maybe estee lauder doublewear. no creasing. layerable.

I really do like liquid concealers; much more than thick cream concealers. I find thicker concealers look cakey (especially as the day does on) and can highlight dry skin.
I use MAC select cover concealer which markets itself as having ‘invisible’ cover and i concur! It looks like you’re wearing nothing at all and I wear it without any other face make-up on a daily basis and people just assume i’ve got amazing skin, whereas I feel, say, MAC’s studio fix concealer just wouldn’t be as undetectable.
Having said that I do have good skin the majority of the time anyway so maybe liquid concealer wouldn’t provide good coverage for more acne prone skin.
Futhermore it must be said that liquid concealers are without doubt the best for under-eye circles as they are much less likely to crease and are often light reflecting whereas i’ve not seen any cream concealers with light reflecting pigments.

My fave is estee lauder double wear concealer, its brilliant! Also like MAC select moisture cover. Also liking elf studio line concealer n highlighter and the original elf tone correcting one!
