Haul: Ouidad PlayCurl Volumizing Mousse or something rather… my Mom LOVES this stuff, but she refuses to buy it – so I got her a few bottles for her birthday!
Friday plans: School work! That’s what happens when you opt for Saturday classes!
Strange fact about you: I’m a very visual person; it’s easier for me to understand what people write than to say… a long lecture without some sort of presentation!

Haul: Nars Primer, no spf, Nars Laguna, Caudalie Face Wash. The Nars primer is exciting because it’s water based, no silicones and finally makes my Nars Sheer Glow work properly. Nars Sheer Glow used to just sit on top of my skin like a strange make up mask. It would slide off my face by 3pm. Now, it locks in, looks like skin and stays all day! Thank God I didn’t waste $42. It’s too bad I had to throw away another $40 on the primer. Gah.
Friday Plans: HOT Shower! Hot water heater has been broken since Tuesday:( ICE COLD BATHS.
Strange Fact About Me: Everything I own in the world is packed into a 12 by 12 bedroom. Everything on the shelves/in boxes is alphabetized or colour coded, including the clothes/shoes in my closet. I don’t think I’m OCD because I won’t have a panic attack if the room gets messy, I’ll just tidy up.
Perhaps Mellan realises it’s not Christmas for a little while yet? lol
Just a small haul this week, after the excesses of A Tartan Tale last week lol.
I’ve got 3 things from Boots No7 Christmas “Mirrorball” makeup collection – Stay Perfect Eyeliners in Bohemian (a beautiful dark purple) and Sea (which is a dark blue) plus their Mirrorball Glitter Mascara, which is silver glitter which is applied to either bare lashes or over normal mascara, with a proper mascara-type applicator.
In the post today, I received MAC Sakura (WN) pigment, which is labelled as ‘sample’ and I believe is the working name for Jardinaires, and Too Faced’s Enchanted Glamourland Palette.
It’s extremely windy out, so today I’m staying in and trying to get some housework done.
I can’t think of any ‘strange’ facts about myself, except maybe that I’m shorter than both my 16 year old and 12 year old children (and don’t they like to rub it in!)
Haul: I actually broke down and purchased 3 SUGARPILL Chromalust loose eyeshadows. I got Magpie, Weekender & Stella. This is a big deal since I only use MAC.
Friday plans: Right now, get thru the day. its 0936 a,d 3pm can’t get here fast enough, which is when my day is done. Then I’m going home and enjoying some Nyquil.. I hate being sick!
Strange fact about you: People usually laugh or have lots of questions when they find out that I work in professional wrestling. No, i’m not a wrestler, I’m actually a ringside photographer. its alot of fun.

Haul: Last week was a big haul for me. All I got this week was MAC’s lip erase (pale) because they’re still offering PRO products on their site. I like it, but it’s not long wearing by any means. However, it makes Revlon’s Soft Nude look gorgeous — which was a color I absolutely did not like before.
Friday plans: Shopping around for Christmas!
Strange fact: I was the first woman at my hospital to have an invasive surgery (gall bladder removal) while 6 months pregnant!
The Anna Sui Mini Rouge lip gloss I ordered long ago finally arrived. Much smaller and smelling much stronger of roses than I had expected…

strange fact: I would go to the library everyday if I could. taking out library books is like a compulsion.
I wish i could buy my dog those toys, within 5 minutes, they would all be ripped up. =( I have to buy him the sturdy, ugly looking toys.
When Mellan was younger, he used to get through toys quickly, but now they seem to last forever!

Haul: Mac’s tartan tale launched internationally yesterday, and I went to the preview party last night here in Barbados. I got the Sassy Neutral Lipglass set ( a top seller it seemed), Style Clan Nail Polish and Dazzle the Lads Lip bag.

Haul: Nothing…yet. I’m heading over to Five Below to pick up some Christmas presents for friends (and myself!) I hear they have some glow-in-the-dark polish and jeggings.
Friday plans: I’m driving down to the Outer Banks (in North Carolina) with my fiance. We’re running a half-marathon on Sunday. It’s his eighth, and my first!!!
Strange fact: I am an editing whiz. I feel a compulsion to correct spelling, grammar, and (depending on the type of media) AP Style whenever I see an error.

Haul: A couple of eyeshadows from Catrice (European Drugstore Brand) which are really well pigmented and show up in a lot of beautiful colors.
Plans: Tomorrow I’ll my sister and me are going to cook roasted canard with red cabbage and potatoes. *starts to drool*
Strange fact about me: I hate cleaning the floor using a mop. I always creep on my knees only using a cloth. Maybe I missed an essential part of evolution…
Haul: 4 lipsticks by Maybelline: Nude Brown, Coral Chic, Cool Watermelon and Petal. They don’t last as long as other lipsticks but they are really creamy!
Friday plans: work work work!
Strange fact about you: I like to finish things and tasks…..like finish a makeup product, or a lotion, or finish my work, finish anything! And this is bad ’cause everytime I come home with a lot of things undone, I get a little pissed!

Friday Plans: Sephora for no valid reason whatsoever. I got too much stuff from the last 20% off sale but this week’s V.I.B. coupon is so pretty I just have to use it on something!
Strange fact: I am quite a hoarder at home but at work I throw away everything, even things that I’m not supposed to. (Thank goodness for computerized medical records at the hospital!)

Strange fact about me: My betta fish hates me without apparent reason…
I have Sephora’s smudge brush which is the “same” as Mac’s 214. When I tested them side by side the 214 does a smoother and more uniform/blended smudging, it’s a bit softer and has a bit thinner edge. Compared to the 219 the 214 keeps the smudging less smoky, cleaner and with a little more definition. I’m not sure if I should keep it.
Is a smudging brush really necessary in a basics collection?
I don’t find it necessary myself!

Strange Fact- I’m into everything from the 1960’s and 1970’s: Fashion, makeup, movies, music, tv shows, you name it. But perhaps the strangest thing is I have all these one hit wonder compilations of songs from that era on CD…songs i’m embarrassed to admit I like and songs most people from my age group (i’m 28) probably may have never heard of.
Haul: IMATS Toronto (will be going next year ^_^). Didn’t get everything on my list since some stuff was sold out by the time I got there (It’s hard to bet there by public transit. >_< the location is so not popular)

Embryolisse: Lait-Crème Concentrè two in 75 ml (X2) & one in 30 ml sizes (show special) and Lotion Micellar. Enought Lait-Crème Concentrè to last me a year.
Temptu Pro: Dura Pro Palette in Trauma (Skin Illustrator Palettes sold out, it was however $10 more expensive than Temptu's version.)
NYX: False lashes, Dolleye Mascara (waterproof), and their new Liquid liner in black.
Alcone: Beauty So Clean Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist 8 ml and a row of sample Sanitizing Wipes. 3rd Degree was on my list but has a 6 month shelf life so it might not work for next year Halloween (maybe pron to dry out).
Crown Brushes: picked up some brushes for my mom as stocking stuffers.
Royal & Langnickel: S.I.L.K line brushes in ~ Foundation BC200, Flat Foundation BC235. I also picked up 3 more not for retail at the moment since IMATS Toronto was their launch that I'll list later.
OCC: Lip Tars in ~ Feathered, Hush, Grandma, Trollop and Hoochie. (didn't know which red one to get and Anime was the first to sell out at the show. ^_^)
Kryolan: Eyebrow Design Kit. (Didn't bring Special Plastic to the show T-T )
Naimie's Beauty Center: cheap set of day wear false lashes.
Make Up For Ever: So many things sold out and I mostly wanted Aqua Creams and their Natural Plasto Wax (sold out). I got Aqua Cream in #4 – Snow (#8, #13 and #16 were sold out) and their full sized HD Powder (I know it's pure silica but the milling just right.
NAKED cosmetics: Show Special~ makeup case, 6 stack of mica pigments,1 foundation, 1 gloss and 1 primer. Since their foundation didn't work for my skin shade I got instead 2 brushes and I more of each of the gloss and primer. Kit was at 20% of the original cost of their products. I'll list stack later as for 3 of them are not on the retail site.
Friday plans: Going through my IMATS hall and storing/photographing them. 😉
Strange fact about you: B-Days on the 25th of December. I will also draw you a map over giving verbal directions.

Strange Fact about me: I don’t think I would be me without my dog. And I’m very terrified of him getting sick/dying(hes 12). He’s my life.
I ordered some stila goodies using their friday happy hour deal, you get 2 illuminating powders, and free shipping, so couldn’t pass that up 🙂

Strange fact about me: I don’t care about getting free stuffs (and try it) if I have no interest in the products. I have tons of cosmetics samples from Sephora, Clinique, Chanel, Shu, etc. that more often than not, I just throw them in a box together and give them away to my friends later.

I read an article once in Vanity Fair about how NY Socialite Brooke Astor always wore Oil of Olay on her hands at night. I started using my giveaway cream samples on my hands because I figured it did not really matter the formula type as long as it was moisturizing. That way I use them up and my hands really do look and feel better. Maybe you could try that to use them up, just keep them in your night stand like I do!
Come to think of it, I never use my samples either, lol.

Haha, really? I love the Kalahari duo – a much needed edition to my small collection of neutrals. Jolie Poupee is beautiful too but I’m not a fan of purples on myself even though my friends say I look really good in them.

And Sweeney Todd is a good movie. I have such love for Helena Bonham-Carter and Colleen Atwood’s gorgeous costuming.

Strange fact about me?….I am OCD about TP roll over than roll under…so yes…i change the roll to over everywhere i go. I have even attempted (with not much luck though) to do that in Public restroom…yeech
Mellan really is too stinking cute. I have never told you this but I have a Chocolate Lab named, “Cadbury”. The idea of dressing up my dog for Halloween like you do is a hoot. I told my husband how you dress up Mellan and he thought perhaps next year for our Cadbury.
Had a large haul today, you encouraged me with you nail polish post. I went and bought ten new bottles for this fall. Most are China Glaze, which I have never owned before and one is by Orly. I figured if you owned as many CG as you did the formula must be pretty decent. Ha!
I also bought MAC Pink Swoon Blush, Chai and UnderAge lipglasses, and Embark, Folie and Espresso eyeshadows.
I think I am finished for the weekend. ;]

Haul : The whole TBS Polynesia line! I’ve been hooked on the miracle monoï oil since the first sniff, and I decided to try out the other products as well.
Plans : A very calm weekend. Studying, and I’m planning on working my way through Mad Men’s first season DVD-box.

Haul: A couple Pure Ice polishes, an Orly polish, some rhinestones for nail art…and my Zoya polishes (Ivanka, Crystal, Julieanne, and Shawn) arrived. Today, I’ll probably stop by Bath and Body Works and pick up a body spray and hand cream (or candle?) in Secret Wonderland. I have a coupon that needs using.
Plans: Today’s my 21st birthday, so I’m going out with friends!
Strange fact: I don’t consider this strange, but I recognize it’s sort of unusual among women, let alone women who enjoy makeup as much as I do, but I am a huge wrestling fan.
Haul: I picked up some of the new holiday goodies E.L.F. put out at Target. I normally don’t go for E.L.F. but I heard they’ve changed up their formula so a I grabbed a few pieces to try.
Friday plans: I have no idea yet. I think my bottle of win might be part of what ever it is I do. LOL

I used to work there! Most of my wages (I worked part-time) went straight back to the company as I went a bit crazy and bought tons of stuff all the time from there! The funniest thing was going home or uni after work when my friends could tell by the smell that I’d been at work.
Haul: Finally popped in to buy from A Tartan Tale! Damage consisted of Cut a Caper, The Faerie Glen, Her Blooming Cheek and Gone Romancin’. I really wanted Courting Lilac but it just wasn’t flattering on me. 🙁

New Haul: Smashbox’s “The Gold List”…The O Gold Gloss has been talking to me in my sleep for weeks!!…Friday Plans: Cleaning! Ugh! Laundry, floors, Kitchen..Groan!!…Fact about moi. 2 actually. The sound of Karen Carpenters Voice sends me running for the hills! Not good w/all her Chrismas Music about to start playing. And 2, I’m good friends w/just about all of my exes. Except 1. A real Rat Bastard. Karma, baby! In due time, I do hope!!

Haul: The Smashbox Burlesque set, NYX Copper Penny lipgloss, a set of Jack Black lip balms, and a few nail polishes: Orly in Berry Blast, Piggy Polish in All That Glitters, and China Glaze in Awakening & Ruby Pumps. I also picked up a couple of those plastic shoebox thingies at Wally World, so that I can organize my nail polish stash this weekend.
Friday plans: I need to return something at Nordstrom, so I’m hoping to pick up the MAC Smoky Thrillseekers pigment set while I’m there.
Strange fact about you: I spent part of my childhood in a hippie commune, and grew up in a house with no TV.
Haul: I went a little nuts at the Sephora sale… NARS Mesculine, NARS Exhibit A, NARS Etrusque, UD Black Palette, Smashbox Cabernet shadow, NARS Petit Monstre lipstick, and MUFE 60 eyeshadow.
Friday plans: I entertained all the tiny people today, and now I’m off mom/auntie/entertainer duty for the night. Nap time, perhaps.

Strange fact: I have a phobia of dot clusters! Like when I see a swarm of ants or someone’s bumpy rash or something, it gives me crazy goosebumps. Not polka dots though, nothing in a really geometric, organized shape.

Friday Plans- I vegged on the couch and caught up on my shows
Strange Fact- my mom tried for 7 years to get pregnant after she had my sister. She finally gave up and decided she would adopt. That next month she got pregnant with me 🙂 I’m in the miracle baby book at the hospital where I was born.

(I have a friend who just announced she’s pregnant, so one bottle of the massage lotion, and a pair of the spa socks are for her! Ulta had a buy one get one free sale!)
Plans: I missed this on Friday (work), but today I plan on tweaking my agency’s website and working on content for next week!
Strange Fact About Me: I was declared disabled last January and told no one would hire me because of my physical limitations- even though I have a degree. So I started and launched my own (successful) fashion agency and online magazine. We also do styling and p.r.!

Friday plans: I went to the Hollywood Museum which has a bunch of old Marilyn Monroe items (that were actually hers) and other actors/actresses up to modern stuff like Glee clothes and Twilight. It is on HIghland and the museum is in the old Max Factor factory which was big in Hollywood and I didn’t know. So it’s like Max Factor makeup memorbilia all over too, like pancake makeup! It was awesome!
Strange Fact: I dry each finger off when I wash my hands (separately not at one time)…
Haul: since I decided against getting anything from tartan tale I’ve been discovering favorites in my own stash from previous collection, like Elle and Mimmy Lipglass and Morningglory Lustreglass.
Friday plans: stayed in and read and book and watched tv
Strange fact about you: My family dog is a black lab named “The Cuteness”. My sister got it from a movie. Lol its a bit of an oxymoron cuz he’s mischievous.
Also, I don’t really wear makeup but I obssessed with temptalia and youtube beauty gurus?! Strange, I know. My favorite lipgloss is mac love nectar lustreglass. Hey, at least I’m in the know whenever I do buy makeup lol
