Pretty! Smashbox doesn’t usually catch my attention, but these are catching my eye. And at that price point, I can afford 2 or 3.
The palettes look cool and a nice departure from the ubiquitous naked-this, nude-that trend, hopefully their shadows have reformulated since the Full Exposure palettes, though – they haven’t received very good reviews.
Looking forward to your rundown Christine!
Looks like they’re VIB Rouge only and Limited Edition – that always gets me nervous on quality!
Where are you seeing VIB Rouge only? I see LE and Sephora exclusive, not VIB.
I like some of these, and the price isn’t too bad. So, if they review well I’ll be picking up at least one to start with.
I have my eyes on Ablaze and Matte especially. Hope these do well!
I’m pleasantly surprised at how interesting and varied these palettes are: From bog-standard pastel and shimmery, through matte and neutral (with a combination that hits both cool and warm preferences), to primary/secondary with what looks like a blue/black duochrome, and even two palettes that look like they were designed with deeper skin tones in mind. I don’t see a prevailing “Spring” theme, but seriously, who cares? There’s a palette there for everyone!
Yeah, I agree; I like how there’s a combo to suit a wide variety of tastes. I’d much rather have several smaller palettes so I can choose the color combos that appeal to me than a large mega palette.
Whoa, new product launch avalanche! Ava-launch? Haha, there are really pretty! I love the concept with the 2 large base color pans. I have my eye on Softlight and Golden Hour if these perform well – those are really pretty color combos.
“Ava-launch” Niiiiicccceee. I’m gonna “borrow” that one!
Sold out already….sad….really like them…
No not sold out already. All these brands on sephora get added and show as unavailable or sold out until they’re officially released.
Wow! I’m actually quite impressed with these. I think there’s a pretty nice range of options, and that price tag is more budget friendly than I was expecting. I’m curious to see how they’ll swatch/wear, because I’ve never been fond of the formula Smashbox uses for their ‘Exposure’ eyeshadow formula, but I do enjoy the traditional Photo Op eyeshadows quite a bit.
My only real complaint is that I would have liked to see one more cooler toned palette, besides the smoky one (though really that doesn’t look too cool either). But I think that’s pretty much always my complaint, so I’m willing to look past it, haha!
I agree. I hope the formula is more like their permanent Photo Op trios than the Full/Double Exposure palettes.
Interesting… can’t wait for the swatches.
Still not ready to think about Spring 2017, but the price point and color combos for these are very eye catching. While I don’t need any more palettes and am aiming not to buy any in 2017, if they review well I can definitely see myself recommending them to friends who are new to makeup and need some good basic, versatile, and travel-friendly palettes that aren’t just neutrals.
Nice price point. Good palette compositions. I hope these review well because I can easily see wanting many of these!
Whoa!!! Not bad @ $29, either! Hopefully, the quality and pigmentation will be there in these babies!
I’m not normally drawn to Smashbox shadows, but I’m definitely interested in Ablaze and Golden Hour.
Yoo!! These look super cool!!! I like the one with the green (Obviously!!) And the first one!!
Wow, if the quality is there, I’m interested. I love the color combinations. The price is nice, too.
Nice- I want them all.
Wow! You got my attention, Smashbox! These look stunning and the price is right.
These are lovely little palettes in a really good shade range. Hopefully they will be of good quality,
I agree with some of the other commenters, these palettes are a pleasant surprise. LOVE the color combos in Golden Hour, Ablaze, and Matte. All three are right up my alley. Looking forward to your reviews Christine and keeping my fingers crossed…
Well, I took a chance and ordered Golden Hour. I’m such a sucker, but I’ve told myself that I’ll reign my spending in for 2017….so I just had to buy it now, LOL.
Now these I like, even the crazy bright one.
It would have been cool to see these as quads, or even as interchangeable within the palettes, because looking at these, I only really like half the colors in the palettes!
Too many pinks/salmons for a very yellow toned girl!
That green in the smokey palette though!
