I switch between palettes a lot, but probably Lorac Unzipped. It’s great when I’m rushing in the morning, the shadows go with everything, they blend themselves and last all day on my super oily lids with primer
The only palette I really own is my double sided customized MAC palette. It is all I really use.
While I know which ones I’ve used the most since buying them, I haven’t had either one for that long a time: ABH Modern Renaissance, bought in August I think, and KVD Metal Matte even more recently. If I backtrack to last winter, maybe, then UD Urban Spectrum and Lorac Pro Palette? Hard to know since I change it up almost daily!
Naked Basics because I use that almost every time I wear eye makeup.
The next palette after that, surprisingly, is the TF Peanut Butter palette. I guess because it’s so easy to use?
Ahhhh, it’d have to be a toss up between ABH Mod Ren or Morphe 35F.
It would have to be Mod Ren, I think. I didn’t touch another eyeshadow palette for more than a week when I got that, which is virtually unheard of for me. And it’s still near the top of my my current pile, so.
Urban Decay’s Naked2.
I really haven’t been loyal to one palette, but I think my most used one must be Smashbox Double Exposure. It’s not perfect, some of the shadows can be a bit stiff or dry, but it has all the shades I need for rather simple looks.
Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye palette or Too Faced Sweet Peach palette
Definitely the Makeup Geek Manny MUA palette!
Zoeva Cocoa Blend. Love it to bits.
Shocking that I don’t wear eyeshadows often this year at all given the fact that I’m a “smokey-eye-till-I-die” kinda gal, so on the rare occasions that I do it’s the Balm Smoke Balm Vol 2 that includes a shimmery champagne, a matte taupy brown and a deep satiny forest green. Love it also for its versatility as the champagne and brown can be use to sculpt the face perfectly, they have good tones. Oh, and how ridiculously compact it is.
Definitely my Surratt In the Shadows Palette. I’m so glad that a pre-made/filled palette was available on Net-a-Porter because the whole concept of buying the singles individually + an empty palette is overwhelming when you’re unfamiliar with a brand and, like me, have a hard time making decisions anyway! But that palette is so well done – I actually use every single shade – and it made me fall totally in love with his eyeshadows. I’ve put together a few custom palettes myself but I have to admit, they’re not as well edited as the In the Shadows one, because my weakness for neutrals means I end up with very similar taupe-y, griege matte shades!
Kat von D shade and light and my custom mug palette
Probably UD Naked (the original) or Lorac Pro 2.
Before I got my Viseart palettes it was Becca’s Ombre Rouge. Now it’s a combo of the Viseart neutral mattes, dark mattes, and Sultry Muse. Use them every day and I don’t see that changing much — until I add one of their brighter palettes to the mix for some pop. 🙂
It would have to be my artist palette 01 from MUFE but I didn’t buy any new palette before end of August! I’ve been giving a lot of love to my viseart palettes (neutral matte and bijou royal) as well as the artist palette 4!
The Viseart Neutral mattes and the Too Faced Milk Chocolate palette.
Sorry, should have been semi-sweet, not Milk chocolate??
ABH Modern Renaissance certainly; I use one or another shade almost every day. Second would be Viseart Minx.
I feel like I’ve done a good job of rotating through my palettes this year, but I think maybe the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar or the MUFE Artist Shadows in Nudes You Need.
Mine is the TF Honeymoon palette and newly acquired ABH Modern Renaissance!
The purple Tartelette palette is definitely my most-used, mainly because I use one of the browns every day on my brows, and use the black every day to set my eyeliner. I also use the ivory most days to set my eye primer and the lighter peachy shade as my transition…. so it’s not an especially EXCITING palette for me, but it’s got the basics that I rely on every day.
Oh man, probably the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, the Too Faced Chocolate Bonbons palette, and the Tartelette in Bloom palette. And the KVD Metal Matte palette, the ABH Master Palette by Mario, and the Natasha Denona Star Palette more recently. There have been a lot of really beautiful palette releases this year!
ABH Mario Palette, definitely!
The KVD Shade and Light eye palette, the middle section specifically. It’s the perfect gray tones for me! I keep finding myself going for it for everyday sort of makeup. <3
My two Ciate palettes that I got on sale! I’ve worked them into every look since I bought them. I didn’t review them because you couldn’t purchase them anymore and they were a season old but they have been really great especially for the $20 bucks I paid for them!
Surprisingly, Too Faced Sweet Peach!
My Semi-sweet chocolate palette. Definitely most used this year
My only palette is the Naked Smoky by Urban Decay, which I bought myself as a birthday present last year in September. It’s the perfect one for me as it has a matte light, a taupe, a matte brown, two shimmery browns, a dark almost black color; that’s what I mostly use daily. It also has the three more blueish and purplish shades, which are the only pop of color I use. I use it almost everyday, only hit pan on the matte light (sometimes I use it as all over shade to set the eyelid) and taupe (mostly used as transition shade).
MAC Nordstrom Natruals
Seldom use a single palette by itself, exceptions being Zoeva En Taupe and the bigger Ciate palette. It’s usually one of the small UD basics with a couple of more colorful ones: UD, mufe, viseart…S.t. MUFE singles/trios.. Also, tend to use new stuff, so bijoux and metal matte come out a lot, recently. Today, it was 3 paint pots and metal/matte. S.t. Instead of shades suggesting partners from other palettes, and winding up with 5 out, I choose a palette that hasn’t been in rotation, like interstellar, monarch, or be mattnificent, and try to stick to just one. Always been a divergent thinker…look at one shade and a bunch of unrelated-to-that-palette shades come to mind.
I think that overall I have used the ABH Mod Ren the most. I use it alone and with other palettes as I really love the shimmer shades and pair them with a lot of other shadows in my collection. I would also have to give a shout out to the TF Chocolate Bon Bon’s palette. I know it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it does have some decent cool toned shadows which I really like.
I’m not sure which one is most used, because I have so many palettes, and I switch among them all the time. Contenders would be: Urban Decay Naked Basics, UD Electric Palette, UD Urban Spectrum, UD x Gwen Stefani, and MUFE Nudes You Need. It seems I’m always using them for something, whether on their own for a complete eye look or with another palettes, singles, or loose shadows.
I’m so fickle when it comes to eye palettes that I go long stretches without reusing them (and because I’m a hoarder I have many I’m still going through lol) so it’s weird to say this, but it’s the Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder palette. I haven’t been able to put it down since I got it. Even though it came out fairly close to the end of this year I’ve used it more than all my others this year. I even splurged for the singles because of it (and, funny story, Charred Emerald arrived today and…Bitter Clove was in the box!…it’s impossible to find BC anywhere so I’m not complaining, that’s a happy cosmic error!…but now I have to re-order CE). 😉
Out of just eye palettes and not individual shadows I guess it would be Tom Ford’s Honeymoon.
My most used ones are
1. Viseart bridal satin
2. Lorac pro 1
3. Tartlette in bloom
4. UD naked 1
5. Custom MAC palette
Up until about sept/oct then it’s
ABH modern renaissance
Lorac mega pro 3
Tarte tartelette in bloom palette<3
UD Naked two and three
Either my custom made Coastal Scents/MAC/Sephora brand/MUFE Z pallet.
OR for a pre made pallet, MUFE artist pallet #1!!!
I wanted to email you about this christine!! But the makeup forever artist pallets are SO easy to depot. They have a magnetic base to the pallet, and there’s a tiny bit of glue on the edges but they just pop right in and out!!
So my Z pallet is full of MUFE shadows!! 😛
I’ve been all about the KvD MetalMatte palette since I got it last month, but before that it was either my Naked 3 or my UD Vice 4 palette.
Out of all lunch palettes I reach for my Too Faced Peanut Butter Jelly palette the most. The colors can make a simple everyday look, or even a glam look for a night out! It is very versatile. The colors are smooth, easy to blend, and highly pigmented. It is one of my favorites and I definitely reccomend.
I meant all of my palettes* not lunch palettes lol!
I often have peanut butter and jelly for lunch!
The eyeshadow palette I use the most is the one I put together with 40 single Makeup Geek shadows. As far as pre-made palettes I have been loving all 3 of the Juvia’s Place palettes and Tarte In Bloom.
UD Naked 2, although I rotate my palettes a lot.
I should have added UD Naked 1, Stilla In the Garden and my new Sephora It Palette in Nudes.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance.
Has to be ABH Modern Renaissance and KvD Shade+Light Eye.
My MAC custom palette, chanel tisse rivoli, dior pink nudes, too faced natural eyes and the balm’s meet matte nude:)
Too Faced Natural Mattes and the ELF Mad for Mattes. I typically Reach for my single shadows to find a shimmery shade, or cream shadow for the lid & use either one of these palettes for my crease, brow and liner shades. They are great, portable “utility” palettes for me. I only wish the Too Faced one had a cool pink/plum version of the same palette. I’d snap that up in a heartbeat.
I don’t purchase palettes because I never use most of the eyeshadows included – so for many years I just buy pencils, singles, etc.
I rotate my palettes but for the first half of this year it was UD x Gwen Stefani and Too Faced Sweet ?. Currently I’m totally into colourpop, KVD Metal Matte and Too Faced Bon Bon palettes.
I’ve loved my TF Bon Bons and TheBalm Nude Dude this year.
I travel quite often and find the original Lorac Pro palette to be most versatile. Too Faced Chocolate Bons Bons is another go to palette for me as well.
Oh and I forgot Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette. I’ve hit pan on a couple shades and was searching for dupes on your site earlier this week.
Naked Basics 2
Too Faced Chocolate Bar!
That’s hard to say; I use singles and quads mostly. For a true large palette, it’s probably my custom Inglots. For pre-made it would probably be my Chantecaille Glacier trio. I keep it in my make-up bag, so if I’m doing my shadow at the office, it tends to be this.
Too faced sweet peach palette
probably the shopvioletvoss holy grail palette, despite me selling it on glambot a month or so ago. quality just wasn’t up to snuff. the only shades i really miss are the orange shade (hashtag, i think?) and the shade cool beans. need some good dupes for those!
Use the Lorac Pro Matte palette daily! The shades compliment my skin tone and the texture of the product feels like velvet. Love this palette!
I rotate palettes on a daily basis but I used more than any other palette Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette. I mainly bought it because of the heart shaped pans and I thought the colors would be too light for me but I love one eye look in particular that I get from that palette. I have traveled with it without getting bored. And, when the Ride or Die tag came out, that palette popped into my kind as my Ride or Die. It really is a great palette.
I switch palettes a lot being that I have so many but I have to say Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate palette I can’t seem to put it away it’s so quick and easy in the mornings, all of the Bobbi Brown palettes are great for quick neutral looks!
Same!! Except Sultry Muse instead of Paris Nudes 🙂
The ones I go back to again and again are UD Naked Basics (the darkest brown in my crease) and NYX Ombre Brights (for the yellows).
Runners up: UD Vice (the 4th one?) and Sephora Pantone Universe.
Urban Decay Basics – perfect for every day!
my Covergirl Smoke Mirrors or something trio is my most used eyeshadows. it’s 3 really pretty grey shadows I highly recommend. i end up using them so much cuz it’s just a trio and so it easily fits in a small makeup bag. I use it with Mac carbon, add some liquid winged liner, mascara and it’s my go-to look. Even though I never ever EVERR buy drugstore eyeshadow. I had a coupon lol.
I’m thinking if i ever use up these shadows i will get dupes from MUFE. I’m so eager to use up my pot of mac carbon cuz it kinda sucks and I want to replace it with a better black.
Still the Paula’s Choice mattes I got however many years ago. I bought my first palette since the Paula’s one just about 6 months ago, but it stays at work for touch-ups (Stila Eyes Are the Window – Mind), and I haven’t needed it much (though I really like it!). I just bought the UD Full Spectrum palette, but it hasn’t arrived yet.
Through youtube’s beauty community, I discovered a brand called Juvias Place. A small brand. After seeing a review and tutorial of the palette named Nubian 2, I had to have it. This palette is gorgeous! The colors in this palette works on all skin tones. And, the quality of the shadows are phenomenal. I purchased this palette and I was obsessed. I didn’t want to use nothing but this palette. Soon after, Juvias released the Masquerade palette. More vibrant colors, but they upped the number of shadows and the pans are bigger. It was the same as Nubian 2, I was obsessed. The first eyeshadow palette this brand released is Nubian 1. I decided to buy it. Another gorgeous palette. These three palettes are all I want to use. I can do a complete look using each of these palettes. I make myself use other palettes in my connection sometime. But these three palettes make me happy.
Laura Mercier’s Eye Art Artist’s Palette. It’s got the perfect collection of shades and finishes for me.
ABH World Traveller or Lorac Pro Matte, but I have been using the Master Palette by Mario a lot recently.
Pretty sure it’s Urban Decay Naked Smoky, which is impressive seeing as I lost the palette for about 4 months this year.
Tartelette In Bloom! I travel a lot so this palette is perfect for me. I can use it for both daytime, natural looks and party glams, so I’ve been using it a ton.
