I’m mostly fair with medium brown hair and I love “Misbehave” by NARS. That perfect little glint of gold makes it work for me!
I would love to use red lipsticks/gloss; unfortunately, I look horrible with red lips because my face has this reddish tint to it….

I think of the reds I own (like three? haha), NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl and Chanel Rouge Coco in Paris look the best on me. I tried on Chanel Dragon a few days ago, and I wasn’t blown away surprisingly. It swatched beautifully, but not so much on my lips. I think I was turned off by the shape the MUA made my lips. I’ll have to try it again sometime, and insist I put it on myself! LOL.

Hmm, I ‘m like maybe one shade darker, so I may have to try these. I have yet to find my perfect red lip yet.
I go from a medium to tan and my new favorite is Heartless Lipstick w/wicked ways gloss. OCC’s lip tar in NSFW is amazing as well.
I wish I knew…I don’t think I could pull off a red lip, to be honest. :/ I have very thin lips, so I opt for more nude-y shades to make them look more plump. Slowly but surely easing into bolder colors, though!

I have med/dark brown hair, green eyes, NC20 skintone.
I find blue reds work best, then true reds, pink-reds, or brown-reds.
MAC Russian Red, Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Red Apple, MAC Dubonnet, MAC Viva Glam 1, Benefit’s full finish lipstick in Wild Card…Are usually the best reds for me.

I have two reds I’ve been wearing a lot lately. Loreal’s Infallible Lip Color in Beyonce’s Red and Kat Von D’s Adora.
I am NC30-ish (medium) with black hair.
I am light medium with warm yellow underones and my favourite red lipstick is Revlon Colorstay in Red Velvet with MAC Thrills layered over the top.
Mac So Chaud is my fave.

I’m a huge fan of MAC Wicked Ways for my medium skin with cool undertones… I admit to not thoroughly scouring the comments of the post reviewing the Cruella release, but are there any *permanent* lipglosses that MAC (or any other brand, really) has released that are fairly similar (or slightly more blue-based)? I really love it but I don’t want to run out and buy a backup if I don’t necessarily have to. Thanks again!!!!!!

Hands down – Loreal Lip Infallible Colour in Beyonce Red! I can eat and drink to my heart’s content while wearing that lipstick and it doesn’t transfer to my chin, smear on my teeth or anywhere else. And I love the shade of red! 🙂 It has replaced my Chanel Dragon!

Topshop’s rio rio. Im light olive skinned and its a yellow red rather than a blue one, so it makes me look tan :). also the formula is amazing- opaque, matte, creamy. its also cheap 🙂
I’m fair with pink undertones. Clinique Cherry Bomb is a nice candy apple gloss and Chanel Dragon is a good lipstick. Too different reds but they work great for me depending on the look I’m going for.

Mine is Napoleon perdis devine goddess in Eros. It looks pink in the tube but on me it turns into this gorgeous bright, lush red.

I’m very fair (NC15/ NARS Sheer Glow Siberia, Deauville when I have a tan) and my favourite red is Red Lizard by NARS. It’s just such a beautiful, pure color and it lasts all day.

I am a really pale redhead, so I don’t always feel comfortable wearing bold red lips outside of special occasions. I do adore red lipsticks though.
I think that my perfect red would be the Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick. I feel like I can wear that color anytime. It’s safe for daytime, and it can be glamorous for nighttime.

I don’t have an go to red lipstick and I am looking for one. I am daek with warm undertones. If any of you can recommend some that would be great. I want to try Dior Red Stocking lipgloss.

I have yet to try all the reds the makeup world has to offer, but MAC VG Cyndi gave me the confidence to wear a red that wasn’t too red or too overstated. I’m NW20 and I love the way it compliments my fair skin without making me look extra pasty.

I really like Mac Red because I can work with the satin texture and because its just a true red with a little bit of blue that works great with my NC15 skin.
Don’t have just one. I LOVE MAC Dubonnet, Lady Danger, Brave Red, Spice it Up and Party Line. I’m paler than NC 15, with neutral undertones. Also loving eve pearls Vampires Kiss lipstick, though it’s so creamy it doesn’t stay on long.
I love Port red by Mac, it’s an intense metallic red.
I really love MAC Cult of Cherry or Venetian for lipglasses. Fanplastico for the lip lacquer (since it’s an intense blue-red), and Embellish glitz gloss for a red on top of any lipstick. I’m extremely fair and love red lips 🙂

I haven’t yet found my perfect Red lipstick (Russian Red is a bit too tomato colored on me) but if Viva Glam Cynidi counts I say that one! As for gloss, Urban Decay’s Ultraglide gloss in Gash is gorgeous on me (NC15).

My favorite red lipstick is “Red Strass”, kisskiss lipstick by Guerlain.

I’m a medium-dark with blue/red undertones so MAC’s Dazzleglass in ‘Love Alert’ and the lipstick in ‘New York Apple’ are the perfect reds for me. Very blue-red with no orange/yellow undertones to make me look ‘blah’ like most red lipsticks on the market.
Chanel had one years ago that was the perfect red for me. It got discontinued. 🙁

i own a lot of red…..i mean a lot! :)for a good inexpensive red mabeylinne’s red revival is great. its deep and pretty and pigmented.for the medium price range i think you cant go wrong with ,mac as many have mentioned. they have ruby woo, russian red, mac red, brave red, dubonnet, lady bug, the viva glams….lots of choices. for the higher end i agree about Dragon…great red but bleeds on me badly. mufe new lipsticks are amazing, dolce and gabbana reds are lovely (devil, ruby, etc.) and my all time fav guerlain foile de grenat!

I’m always between a sort of blue-red like Mac Ruby Woo, or Revlon’s Wine Not, which is a more burgundy red. Both I wear with a true red lip liner though. And no gloss for me. I prefer the matte look.
But yeah, I alternate between these two reds mostly, although I gotta say I think a deeper red is more my speed usually. So perfect red lip for me- Revlon’s Wine Not, with a true red liner underneath.
Oh, and I guess for reference i’m NC30, (kinda 25-ish right now), with dark brown eyes and black hair.
I’m not usually one for red lipstick/gloss (I think it looks terrible on me) but the one shade I recently found that might just work on me is Drive Me Wild by MAC (from FF). Of course, I’m too timid to wear it regularly, it just sits there in all its loneliness…
It depends on the season, but for summer I like Nars Heat Wave and for Fall/Winter I like Chanel Rouge Allure in Dragon or Rouge Coco in Rouge Noir
MAC Lady Bug.
Lipstick Queen Medieval is perfect because I don’t really like lipsticks, normally I use tinted lip balms or lipgloss, but this is more like a reddish tint for me (you can build it up if you want something more dramatic, though). Lovely shade of red for girls that don’t want to wear an “in your face” red 🙂

I am very pale, NC 15, and the best red I have found is this week in MAC’s Venomous Villains collection. The Cruella DeVil “Heartless” lipstick and “Wicked Ways” lipglass. So perfect!!!
It used to be Make Up For Ever 205 (before it disappeared from stores!). Now I rely on MAC Red She Said and Kanga-Rouge.

I’m an NC15 (Very light with warm undertones) and I really like MAC’s Russian Red lipstick. Its bright enough to deliever a big punch of red, and it doesn’t have a cool undertone to it, which suits my yellow/olive undertoned skin.

i have two types of reds. ones for day time and ones for night. my skin is fair to medium and think i look best usually with reds that are a bit orange or yellow. for day i love mac’s lady bug and hourglass’ raven. for night chanel’s coromandel or hourglass’ siren.

I was fortunate enough to win one of the Beyonce Red L’Oreal Endless lippies (Thanks Christine!) and although it’s a bit bright, that stuff is fantastic for special occasions and photo shoots!

For some reason, with my coloring, I shy away from most reds. However I find MAC Rozz Revival and MAC VG Cyndi L/S and gloss very wearable oh and Double Dare cremesheen.
My fav red is MAC’s Del Rio. I also really like Viva Glam I and Revlon’s Matte red also.
I love Russian Red! It’s my favorite lipsick of all time. I wear it religously!

i’m as pale as they come and my favorite red (so far) is ruby woo by mac. it’s blue toned like russian red but it’s not as dark or maroon… it’s like a bright blue toned pin up red. it’s great. i’m still trying to find a truer red lipstick though with warmer undertones. i might try lady danger next. has to be a matte texture though, i hate glossy red lips.
