No, because I bought a mask in New Orleans when I visited a few weeks ago!
Oh yes! Always! I was going to do an ice zombie queen type thing, but I’m changing it a bit and being Jill Frost (femme jack frost) instead. It involves white concealer and a lot of blue eyeshadow for contouring…I’m super excited!
Nothing at all. Just my usual makeup. I do not observe, celebrate or participate in Halloween because of it’s actual origins and *what* its true meaning stands for. So, tomorrow, I’ll be looking about as normal as I get!
Oh yes, I’m dying to whip out my mini set of Kat Von D lipstick and nail polish in Slayer for Halloween. I can’t miss a good excuse to wear black lipstick and polish 🙂
Yes, my face is going to be “normal” with the exception of that I’m stitching my mouth shut using needle and thread. I posted the look the other week on the blog. It’s my first special FX look and I’m happy with it! It’s not convenient, but hey, it’s Halloween only once a year right! 🙂
I had a party on Saturday and yes I did!! I wore my Maleficent costume, based upon the animated character from Sleeping Beauty. I bought that one (over the live action Maleficent) because I can draw from the purples and greens of the animated characters colour palette. I wore a green and purple halo eye, over a white NYX eyeshasow base. On the center of the lid I used a grass green shadow and a tiny bit of teal shadow (which really gave it dimension) out of a dirt cheap BYS eyeshadow palette, then used theBalm Moderato (out of the Balm Jovi palette) to lay down the inside and outside of the halo (not the top), then used BareMinerals Mirage to merge the green with the purple, which worked really well and looked AWESOME. Then Urban Decay Blackheart through the crease, blended up towards the browbone, then used Urban Decay Tease to transition. I used MAC Brule on the browbone, and a super shimmery pink-purple (from the BYS palette again; I think it’s similar to MAC Stars n Rockets) as an inner corner highlight – which worked perfectly because I had sequins that colour around my neckline! I think I used Mirage again to merge the inner highlight with Moderato. I lined my waterline and lower lashes with Perversion pencil, then blended Blackheart and NARS Kauai on lower lash line on top of the liner. Oh I also used a bit of Kauai in the crease to make it jump. Finished with black liquid winged eyeliner and mascara! I meant to use false eyelashes, but as I always do, I got to the end and was so happy with the look I didn’t feel the need. Lips were filled in with MAC Nightmoth lip pencil, Perversion pencil on the outer edges to make an ombre, Rebel all over the lips and MAC O in the center. I did dramatic brows and drew on a pointed arch, then used NYX Taupe blush to contour, and Hourglass Mood Exposure blush (only thing I wasn’t totally happy with, but I couldn’t think of a shade I own which would have been better). I was a bit ridiculously happy with the whole look to be honest!!
Awesome. Literally.
Thanks! I didn’t get a good photo of the look, I’m really tempted to do it again to get photos!!
I am not dressing up for Halloween this year 🙁
Next year i’m gonna be Temptalia for Halloween. Do my makeup half face style. How’s that for makeup obsessed :p.
Too bad i only got the ideea after the party…le sigh…
Since I am working tonight I will be applying my normal makeup, so the answer is no.
Yup! I’m pulling out my blue liner and fake freckles during the day for Barb from Stranger Things. Come tonight, I’ll have me some stippled discoloration all over the face and some lipstick bruises under my eyes ?
Absolutely!! Black eye shadow and the vampiest lipstick in my collection will complete my Halloween look along with my Alice Cooper Welcome To My Nightmare 2 Tour T shirt with rancid green pumpkin. Oh, and any Trick or Treaters will be welcomed by Vlad my Vampire Bear 🙂
Yes, just a simple cat face since that’s all I had time to do this past weekend. I did make my bottom lashline and waterline a shimmery bronze with the help of an eyeliner and smudging it. Other than that, it was quite simple.
Nothing this year but I could scare some trick or treaters with a clay mask. lol
Nope! I’m going as a lifegaurd and they don’t typically wear makeup, though I will be doing my usual party-proof makeup when I go out, just more natural
Is there a Scrooge equivalent for Halloween? That’s me. I can’t stand this “holiday.”
The kids are cute at the door, but that is about it.
Nope. I’m not a halloween person.
We are having a Halloween party at so — surprisingly — so yes! I dressed as Queen of Darkness/Underworld/Dead/Damned… queen of it all. 🙂
I’m not wearing a stitch of makeup today, but I “forced” my daughter to wear red lipstick for the Rosie the Riveter costume she wore to school today. She was a bit apprehensive about wearing lipstick while playing the flute.
We don’t get trick-or-treaters in our apartment building, so we’re not really doing anything for Halloween — but, if I had a Halloween party to go to, that would definitely inspire me on the makeup front!
Yes lol. We’re not allowed to wear costumes at the restaurant I work in, but I’ve had coworkers tell me that my everyday look reminds them of the women from the Robert Palmer Addicted to Love music video because I wear black dresses and pulled back hair. So tonight I’m about to get real 80s with it. This makeup look has it all: blushy contours, glossy red lips, black smoky eyes up to the eyebrows, and a strong white cast on the cheeks I’m going to mimic with baking. ;P If it’s cute and/or funny, I might even post a picture.
No; there’s nothing in particular that I’m doing or going to. Not a big holiday for me. Though I always have candy on hand for the few trick-or-treaters who visit.
Absolutely. I’m doing a red and black look for my Queen of Hearts costume. I wore it to an event Saturday and it looked awesome, if I do say so myself.
Yes! Being a Hallowe’en geek, the whole family is dressed, which means both dogs (Mini poodles) one is a crayon and the other a bee, and I’m Queen of the Damned, which is essentially one of my gothic dresses and long burn out velvet coats with serious chokers, crown and a modified “Black Swan” make up. Makes me nostalgic for the 90’s when I kind of went out llije this all the time!
Poodles are so terrific. Smart, biddable, gorgeous. Saw an F2 hybrid goldendoodle the other day that was so striking. Mini poodle X golden X mini, so 3/4 poodle. Perfect size and all the poodle qualities, with a small retriever general body conformation. Just a perfect dog. Any of my dogs eschewed sweaters, much less costumes. They would cooperate in taking clothing off. But my malamute in the 80s always pestered me for makeup. They like what you like and MUST be part of it.
No – Halloween isn’t really big where I live, but I think it is a great theme to dress up and play the games.
I don’t do Halloween. Never really did. No reason just never got into it.
Sort of! I did a generic halloween look with orange eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and orange lips, but my costume was the devil wearing Prada; literally, I had little devil horns and my boots are actually Prada. Nothing in common with the character from the movie except the name. 😛
Me either Christine. I wore my regular routine. That was scary enough…BOO!
Of course! I was a simple witch – won the costume contest at my office. Makeup was key – smokey smudgey eyes and face; black lipstick …..
Of course, Halloween is all about makeup and costumes. There is no such a thing of one without the other no matter what you want to be.
Had to work three nights on which Halloween makeup/costumes were optional. These are nowhere as riotous as ugly xmas sweater day. I had H theme clothing & accessories, but no costumes. Had purged too much to be successful night one: totally forgot Nyx milk….duh! Eyes were lighter orange with surprisingly decent double wings. Black lips. Second night, grossly forewent makeup and velcroed a fly to my cheek. People actually asked if I were covering something up. Let’s not get into how completely boundary-free and TMI oriented the public can be. The third night I did an overexaggerated orange face with old tony and Tina loose apricot shimmer buffed in for ‘foundation” and 3 mufe orange family shades in blush/contour/highlight low blend and the same on eyes with heavy black rims. Just a nod to the spirit of it, no real concept.
