Do you think you’ll be reviewing this before October 2? I would love to see your review of it since you’re always so good about honest photos and swatches.

I’m platinum and I’m *really* tempted to buy it now, but I wanted to wait because Oct 1 is my birthday, so buying it Oct 2 would let me use my b-day coupon. But I’m so worried it’ll sell out super quickly if I wait ’til then….. Decisions, decisions!

It just matters when Ulta ships it. I purchased it this morning and paid for overnight shipping, but I have zero faith in Ulta – last time I did overnight, I think it took 5 days. Unfortunately, I am very slow at reviewing products and something like this palette would take 3-4 days to test. If I am very fortunate, I will receive on Tuesday, but I doubt I would be able to review it on October 2nd… that is kind of the “best case” scenario. I think the best I can do, and I’m so sorry about that I’m not able to do better by you, is post swatches prior to the 2nd.

I feel terrible I will fail you on this one, Laura!

Well, that would be on time for my birthday coupon. Lol. Never did that or the gift at Ulta, though never miss it at Sephora. Better check it out. Wish they had a $10 annual shipping deal. Next year trying to cut out rouge/platinum. I did PM1 and skipped 2. This looks as if it would suit my current app style, and has a few cools, oranges, and other stuff I like. Think I’m probably in. But not today. They had plenty last year, unlike year one. Kind of depends on the dupes, bec I need this like I need a headache.

Absolutely no apologies needed!! I know Ulta is awful about shipping. The only reason I used to get packages quickly last year was I used to live 30 minutes from their headquarters! Now where I live, it’s like 7 days shipping minimum 😛

We can both hope Ulta isn’t crappy about their shipping to you this time 🙂 🙂 🙂

Apologies to anyone that likes this palette, but this is so boring looking to me. I can’t believe they are calling this a holiday palette. I don’t need 95% of the colors in this one ( light shades that will all look the same on me, neutrals that I have dozens of dupes for, and the colors look too similar to other mega pro palettes). Easy skip for me, but hope it scores well for those interested.

Oh my gosh, I’m so glad you said this. I got the email for Platinum early access from Ulta the other day, looked at the palette, and said “meh”. I’m not feeling the wow factor either. I even went back and looked when I saw people raving about it. Second look, still meh. The palette seems pretty bland with shades that are easily dupable and that I already have. I’m waiting for the ABH Mario which releases at the end of this week I believe. Still, for those that want it, like you, I hope it performs well.

I can’t wait for this one! Here’s to hoping the eyeshadows are good quality and pigmented. I have been dabbling in makeup for a few years and just recently i’ve gotten more serious about it. I wanted to get myself a sizeable nudish/neutral eyeshadow palette that would complement any look. Before this I was thinking of getting a Morphe one. Any reccomendations, Christine? Should i go Lorac, Morphe or perhaps grab one of those Urban Decay Naked palettes? (I want a nice selection of pigmented and buttery shadows which are easy to use and make a look out of)

I love my Lorac palette but what you said about this was pretty much what I was thinking. It does look boring (and I generally get very excited about neutral palettes). It’s just that several of the shades in this are so similar to one another…they could have taken out 1/4 of the colours and it wouldn’t be much of a loss in my opinion. OR…they could have replaced 1/4 of them with some more exciting shades – a deep green like in Pro2, a few more truly taupe shades (one shimmer; one matter) or a deep but still vibrant purple, maybe?

Mariella Avatar

Ummmm – I’m guessing that the problem is that you (like me and like many others here, I’m sure) already own so many eyeshadows that it would be almost impossible for a company to release a premade palette about which we wouldn’t say “it looks like a bunch of shades that I already own!”….I’m reaching that point with my stash. There are a few Buxom shadows and one or two of the new Dior singles that are just a little bit different from colours I already have so I can almost justify buying them but even THAT is a stretch!

Nicole Avatar

True that. I was excited to score Pro 3 via platinum perks, opened it, and immediately took it back to Ulta. Looked like a bunch of dusty colors instead of a cool palette. Total bummer.

I got the platinum early access email too. It was the middle of the night and I was checking email as one does when they have “business” to attend to in the night. Anyway, I immediately clicked the link, added to cart and then went waaaait a minute. That Tarte holiday palette with the easel I commented *yawn* about here? It was pictured too and frankly on second glance looked a lot more interesting than this. I decided to wait a bit bc when TARTE is more interesting…..that’s saying something. I have the first mega pro and never use it, that’s why I skipped the second. Idk why I’m struggling with the decision to let this pass. I’m usually good at ignoring hype. Decisions decisions.

I love the formula of the previous Lorac Mega Pros so this was an instant buy for me. I’m pleased to see this is more hazel eye friendly, too! It’s also a relief this is the only holiday product calling my name so far, the only woe I have is that I wish I could have used a 20% off Ulta coupon on it.

I’m devastated, I live in Australia and use Lorac palettes on all my bridal clients but ULTA doesnt ship to Australia.

I tried to get a US postal address and then purchase it and ULTA wont accept international credit cards so…

I tried the MYUS postal personal shopper and ULTA wont allow them to purchase it on my behalf.

Looks like no Mega Pro Palette for me ;(

Does anyone else have any ideas on how I can get my hands on it?

I just went to the Ulta site and it said no longer available. This was going to be a Christmas present for my daughter. Does anyone know when they will be available again?
I have looked everywhere and most prices are well over $100- $150.

The palette is limited edition. It’s sold out permanently online but just last weekend I saw 10 boxes on display in an Ulta store in Virginia. There is still hope for you! You just have to find it in a physical store.
