I love the Essence Nail Art Nail Polish Remover Ultra. It has a nice smell, easily takes of all kinds of polish (yup, even glitters) and is a total steal at 1.25€! 🙂

Beryl Avatar

I don’t really have any fave right now, but i’m using of of those drugstore brands. It’w working really well actually, except it dries my nails if i use it too often 🙁

Lyza H Avatar

I use A.S.K. nail polish remover. My mom’s big on it, she got me hooked. It works so well, so quickly, and it doesn’t have a strong smell, which is great because I’m asthmatic.

Princessflttrby Avatar

I love Zoya Remove+, but Onyx Professional Moiturizing Formula in the Lavender scent is nearly identical when I’m on a budget 🙂

Cindy Avatar

I don’t really have a favorite nail polish remover. I using go with whatever is cheap or on sale. It must be non acetone though cuz I have mani q done on my nails and that doesn’t mess up the gel when I decide to change the polish.

Joanna Avatar

I buy any beauty supply store acetone… Nail polish remover just takes to long and too much nail polish remover to take any nail polish with a lot of pigment in it.

Nora Avatar

My favorite is the simple CVS brand. I’d use more expensive brands if I could but this works just fine and doesn’t dry out my cuticles, so I like it a lot.

Audri Avatar

I like using any drugstore polish remover that contains acetone. I know acetone is very drying, but it makes it so easy to remove polish. And the drying effect is easily taken care of with a good cuticle oil.

Kylie Avatar

I like ones that are easy and don’t include pouring out the remover. For example, Cutex makes one that comes in a pump, which is really nice!

Nicole Avatar

I haven’t found a favorite polish remover. I usually just grab the first bottle I see, but your reviews on the zoya polish remover have me intrigued…

Jessica Allison Avatar

Favorite polish remover? Do people have those? I’m gonna have to read through these comments to see if I’m missing anything! I honestly just buy what ever is cheapest, usually a store brand acetone based remover.

Christine Avatar

Sorry, the restrictions they put on polish from the U.S. make it too much of a liability – the past 5 times I’ve sent polishes overseas, they aren’t accepted and product just goes missing. I’m out $5-10 for shipping + product cost, so I just can’t keep taking those kinds of losses.

Sarah M Avatar

No ofcourse, I understand! It’s just too bad they make such a fuss over it 🙂 What if you live in the US and you wanna send something to a relative in Europe, what are you supposed to do then 😀

Are all your giveaways just for US then or just specific ones?

Ali Avatar

I don’t spend big money on a specific nail polish remover – I just pick up whatever one is for natural nails at CVS. am I missing something?

Imogen Avatar

I like generic, cheap, drugstore, non-acetone remover. I find I don’t notice a difference between the branded and nonbranded removers so I like to save money here so I can spend it on more pretties 🙂

Shannon Avatar

my fave is def Zoya’s Remove+. It doesn’t dry out my cuticles, and it works so well with removing. I have this huge 32oz bottle and a smaller 16 (or 8oz?) bottle too. but i also have like half of my Sally’s remover (also 32oz so i guess i got around 16oz left) that i gotta use up first!

Actually I have just used one nail polish remover D; And acetone with oil. And other nail polish. And my nails to scrape it off, lol. I prefer the acetone over the nail polish remover I used! For for example the China Glaze Poolside polishes (Ok, I only have Kiwi Cool-Ada and Sun Worshipper) I like scraping it off. Even though little painful flakes get under my nails D; Hehe.
I re-tweeted; my Twitter is NyappyDrHouse =)

Emily Avatar

I really like the Studio Tools non-acetone nail polish remover. It’s super cheap and I don’t have to work at all to get my polish off, even glitters!

Brittni R Avatar

I prefer good ol’ acetone because it gets the job done and you’ll be moisturizing after using it anyway, plus it leaves no residue like I found Zoya Remove did.

Lulu Avatar

My favorite nail polish remover is the strawberry scented pink one from The Face Shop. Smells so nice and leaves nails smell nice too, and no acetone scent! Removes polishes like a charm!

Hanna Avatar

I haven’t tested that many to be honest so i don’t really know…..My Sally Hansen removes my nail polish perfectly and that’s really all i am looking for;)

indoorkitty Avatar

Whatever acetone-based Sally Hansen remover I can get my hands on. I have this plan of finding and watering down industrial acetone but it hasn’t happened yet. Why won’t Fisher Scientific phone me back? 😉 TGIAlmostF Christine!

Victoria Avatar

I don’t really have a favorite nail polish remover. Right now I’m just using a Target one. My least favorite though is Cutex’s non-acetone one… SO HORRIBLE, it takes forever to remove any NP and then it leaves behind a grossly sticky residue 🙁

virginia Avatar

My Favorite nail polish remover and by far the best is Cutex. You Can Purchase It At Walgreens,Walmart and Target. There are Three Colors available(Blue,Clear,Purple) And they All do Different Things To Your Nails Like Give Protein,Strength Etc.

Kim Avatar

I’ve been using Studio 35 Beauty Salon Formula Nourishing, but I just picked up a bottle of SuperNail Acetone Polish Remover from my beauty supply store in hopes that it will do a better job. The drugstore formula just doesn’t cut through polish without a struggle.

vnssa906 Avatar

my favorite, all though its possible horrible to be using all the time, is PURE ACETONE! ahhh, nothing else takes off the 9 layers of polish and glitter when boredom ensues at work 😡

Elena Avatar

I haven’t found a favorite nail polish remover yet because i want an acetone free remove that will work as well as a normal one! and i just haven’t find it yet!

Talia Avatar

I used to use cutex but i cant find it anywhere now so i just use whatever generic one i can find. I always make sure its the acetone kind though.

Kate & Zena Avatar

It’s a Studio something Non-acetone nail polish remover that I buy at Wallgreens. The stuff is insane. I can’t use anything with acetone in it (the first ingredient in Zoya’s Remove+ is acetone). I’m way too allergic to it.

Nadia Avatar

I don’t know if it’s my favourite but I just use Sally Hansen. For some reason, my drugstore has a very limited selection when it comes to nail polish remover! I might try the Sephora one next time!

Leenie Avatar

my favorite is what ever is on sale I don’t spend to much on my nail polish remover, the one I’m using right now is Delon Salon Formula and the price is 1.29

Sandra Avatar

All time favorite is Sally Hansen! It works wonders and doesn’t leave a lingering scent or taste after you wash your hands like others do.

Lyndsay Avatar

I really don’t have a favorite. As long as it is has acetone, I find it works! Infact, right now I am using a dollar general brand and it works fabulous.

Nikki C Avatar

before i didn’t have a favorite but after reading your review on zoya’s remove+ i tried it out and it works really well! it removes my nail polish effortlessly, doesn’t have the super strong polish remover smell, and isn’t super harsh on my nails or cuticles!
thanks for another great recommendation

Karen Avatar

My favorite nail polish remover are the cutex wipes. They are so great for on the go and in the car, at work, waiting for the train etc. I always tend to take off nail polish and places I probably am not supposed to haha.

Dana Avatar

I usually buy whatever store brand of regular acetone. I like the one from Harmon (NY/NJ beauty store chain), it’s big, cheap, and never leaks.

Alexis W Avatar

My favorite is the Target up & up brand professional100% acetone one. It gets the glitters and really dark and staining polishes off quick.

Danielle Avatar

Love this color!
My favorite nail polish remover is Cutex Nourishing(the BLUE one!) I think it works just as well as some of the expensive brands.

LADY DI. Avatar

My favorite is from CVS and its a round plastic container with a sponge in it and filled with nail polish remover. I love that I can just squish my fingers into it and all the polish comes off.

Marian Avatar

My favorite is called “Pretty Nails”. It’s in a jar with a sponge and you put your fingers into slits in the sponge and the polish comes off easily.

Vicki. L Avatar

My favorite is definitely Nail Colour Remover To Go from sephora by opi. I can easily remove my nail polish using it and it’s a great size so I can bring it everywhere.

Ashley Avatar

My absolute favorite nail polish is “My Chihuahua Bites” by OPI! It’s such a cute summery color and even works well in the winter when I need a fun pick-me-up. I have 3 chihuahuas so I may be a little biased but it IS gorgeous! =)

Ashley Avatar

EEK! I got so excited over my favorite nail polish, I forgot we were talking about nail polish removers! Lol, but in that case, it would have to be OPI Acetone-Free Polish Remover because it not only removes my old nail polish, but it also conditions my cuticles and nails.

McKenna Avatar

My favorite remover is just a generic one from Target. It takes off even glitter polish so quickly and it doesn’t smell like acetone…it has more of a floral scent to me 🙂

Grace Seng Avatar

My favorite nail polish remover is the CVS brand Professional 100% Acetone Nail Polish Remover. It makes nail polish removal really easy but it IS 100% acetone so I always wash my hands afterwards and load on the hand moisturizer. =]

Janet Avatar

I’m a serious cheapo and just use the cheapest kind that I find at Target and the Dollar store. I seriously need to gt my hands on some Zoya Remove +!

Abbi Avatar

When feeling guilty about splashing out on an expensive nail polish I then cut back in terms of varnish remover and so I love my supermarket brand nail remover, cheap and cheerful, only 99p from Asda the UK version of Walmart

flafi Avatar

My favourite nail polish remover is from Maybelline – gentle acetone free remover with avocado extract. I like it, because it doesn’t dry out my nails and cuticles and it smells fairly good.

Tera Avatar

To be honest its whatever the Dollar Store is carrying. I don’t feel the need to use something expensive. But I usually try to get a nourishing one thats not pure acetone.

Kira Avatar

Aliquots taken from hubby’s one gallon can of acetone … originally purchased from the hardware store. I think it’ll last me a good long time. 🙂

Emma Avatar

I’m currently loving a remover by the company Calico. It’s called Polish Off – it doesn’t contain acetone (which is good for my sensitive, peely nails), and it’s anti-bacterial. It also doesn’t contain gelatin, which is good because I’m a vegetarian!

Michelle Thao Avatar

anything that i just happen to have which is usually a generic drug store brand and generally cheap or that i can get a deal on (buy one get one free).

Quennie Avatar

I don’t really have a favorite nail polish. I always buy the drugstore brand, but out of all the ones I’ve used, the Harmon nail polish is my favorite, so far.

Jessi Avatar

My favorite is just 100% acetone, it doesn’t matter the brand. I know it’s so drying, but my skin isn’t that dry to begin with so it’s okay. I just make sure to moisture my nails frequently or they will get brittle. I’m so impatient and pure acetone works so quickly, I can’t even stand to use any other polish remover.

Rachel Avatar

I love the scrubby tub from Target – Studio Tools I think is the name it’s under. It’s a pure acetone remover but the tub has little scrubby bristles inside that take off all the glitter with ease! I’ve added a little glycerine to make it a little more skin-friendly, but it’s cheap and it makes removal a snap! 🙂

WithIt Avatar

I usually prefer to have my nails (especially toes) done at a salon. But when I have to remove it myself, like many others here I use any cheap non-acetone store brand. Gotta save money somehow! 😉

Amy C Avatar

To be honest, I don’t have a favorite – I just use whatever is cheapest at the moment. Anything acetone because it seems to work faster and I am impatient. 😀

j0o626 Avatar

My favorite nail polish remover is beauty secrets acetone. I buy it at sallys its the best it smells good & it doesn’t leave that smell on ur fingers

Jess Avatar

I bought this ridiculously large bottle from Sally’s Beauty Supply – it was acetone based and strong enough to remove gel nails. Good stuff for getting the job done, but a little harsh on the nails.
The acetone-free one from The Body Shop is not as effective at removing polish, but very nice on the nails. Bit of a toss-up for me.

Cat Avatar

I don’t really have a favorite nail polish remover. So far I’ve been simply using any drug store brand that is acetone free. I’ve been really wanting to try Deborah Lippmann’s remover, but it is so expensive. 🙁

Carol Avatar

it doesn’t even has a brand name, i found these nailpolish remover pads at the dollar store that are very gentle on my nails and fingers, and very cheap! I also use them to correct some mistakes

Anita Avatar

None of em. They all suck. Acetone-free removers take forever, and acetone removers give me loads of hangnails/Sahara Desertify my skin! And the “Hardening” polish removers did nothing of the sort to my paper-thin nails 😐 I think I should venture outside Walmart, lol. And I should be asking YOU this question! haha
