Look - Subtle with Shaping and Sculpting Line
I wanted to try to do something subtle, but with some shape, so I figured why not take my sculpting and shaping powders for a spin? I mean, I bought them all, and I pretty much never use them, LOL. And booo, I wanted to get my eye brows done, but the lady I go to is on vacation ’til Sunday 🙁
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (creamy neutral base), Lightsweep shaping powder (PRO) (soft nude), Sculpt sculpting powder (PRO) (soft taupe), Soft Focus shaping powder (PRO) (soft yellow nude), Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Liner (warm brown), Too Faced Lash Injection Pin Point mascara (black)
- Cheeks: Dainty mineralize blush (soft peachy pink)
- Lips: Burnin’ lipstick (dark purple), Ms. Fizz dazzleglass (shimmery fuchsia-purple)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Dainty = Peachykeen; Burnin’ = Cyber; Ms. Fizz = Venetian
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. Apply Lightsweep shaping powder all over lid with the 239. Gently apply Sculpt sculpting powder into the crease with the 239 to define and add shadow. Sweep Soft Focus shaping powder underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Liner on lower lash line, and Too Faced Lash Injection Pin Point mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Dainty using the 129. Apply Burnin’ lipstick to lips, and then top with Ms. Fizz dazzleglass for color and shine.

Love the eyes. It’s like nude, but better.
Thanks, Dee 😀
The eyemakeup is amazing, like nothing. Good job. I’m not sure what to think about the lipcolor. It seems to be a little gross in my eyes.
Thanks, Nicole! Aw, I’m sorry you didn’t like the lips!
the lipcolor suits you perfect. really amazing! i wish i could wear dark lips too 😀
Thanks a lot, Katja! You could!
The eye makeup is amazing! It’s like… the perfect nude eye!
The lips shocked me a bit (I was expecting more of the natural stuff) but I really like the color and the overall effect.
Thanks, Jennifer!
LOL, I am trying to get more dark lips in, and the only time I can is if I go neutral on the eyes!
love the dazzleglass sparkly effect!
Yeah, the dazzleglass had this cool glitter effect!
*plans to try the lip combo on Friday*
Did you end up trying it, Tekoa?
The eyemakeup is gorgeous! And that lip color looks great on you. I wish I could pull dark lips off as well.
Thanks a ton, Gio!!
Love the concept and the execution. Great job again, Christine!
Thanks so much, Leah 😀
Wow, love this look. I am going to steal it when I am brave enough to give the bold dark lip a go.
LOL!
I hope you get brave soon, Angi!
I love it! This looks so pretty with your dark hair and it matches good with your shirt too 🙂
Thanks so much, Lydia 😀
Such a gorgeous look – wish I could pull that off (not sure I could though – am blonde, tanned and have blue eyes!).
Your skin looks great here – what foundation do you use?
Thanks so much, Claire! I use Studio Fix Fluid by MAC!
You could definitely pull this off!
Nice look!
Thank you, Lisa!
I might have to buy that lipstick if they still have it!
How do you like that mascara??? PLEASE do a review on it, I’ve been wondering if I should buy it.
It seems a hassel that it’s not completely waterproof.
I’ll do a review soon, Eloise!
Love love love that lipstick! I’ve got to have it!!!
LOL! I hope you can get it, Terry!
Hi, Christine! You look gorgeous with dark lips, as always, but what I’m really curious about is the mascara. I’ve tried Two Faced Lash Injection and thought it yielded bold dramatic lashes, but it really clumped after a couple months. What’s the deal with this new one?
I’ll be reviewing it in a bit 🙂 The problem sounds like the product dried up, to be honest. It either dries up quickly on its own OR it wasn’t closed tightly at some point.
Christine, I like the look, but I honestly can’t tell you have any pro products on your eyes. All I can tell is the paint pot, eyeliner and mascara. I guess you’re really good at blending.
Hey Lil! It’s very, very subtle. In the close-ups, I think you can see the colors. In the full-face shot, it is harder to see the subtleties, though.
Love, love, love the look! At first I thought it was either Kirsch or Bing mattene on your lips. Obviously I’m wrong 🙂
Thanks, Nana 😉 You could easily substitute Kirsch though!
lovely i try the nude eye next time with my russian red lippie and my cult of cherry lipglass thanks for the inspiration
Thanks, Claudine! Let me know how it goes 🙂 It’s great for when you want to put all the attention to your lips!
amazing lip color, girl!
Thanks, Pia 😉
ahh i love how smooth your lids look.
i still get creasing problems from time to time!
Thanks, Viv!
Soft Ochre saves my life when it comes to creasing!
your look posts are sooo addicting!! 🙂
Aw, thanks, Shen ;P
Love this look on you!!!
Thank you, Abby!
Do you think applying the lightsweep powder alone would look as nice? I haven’t seen a neutral eye quite like it and i loooove it. Plus everything looks great on you 🙂
Sure, I think it would be 😉
Thanx so much Christine!!!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much, Abby!!
