What color eyeshadow do you wish a brand would create?

What color eyeshadow do you wish a brand would create? What do you feel you’re missing?

.

I think I’d like a really pigmented aqua-teal with flashes of violet and blue.

i wished for the longest time that someone would make a hot pink shadow with lime green reflects in it, then sugapill’s decora came along. honestly, it was like every possibly present giving holiday at once

I would love to see a nice true, wearable red color. Granted I haven’t looked that much but something about a red appeals to me.

AnGeLwInGz Avatar

Urban Decay Heat (Deluxe shadow) is a good one. It has a very subtle flash of gold in it so if you’re not looking for matte this is a must-have when it comes to red shadow.

Q Avatar

I wish Calypso Minerals hadn’t wound up such a cluster–well…. anyway, she had a red called “velvet.” It’s an absolutely gorgeous true-red matte. I love it so hard, but it makes me sad because I know I’ll never get more!

Roslyn Avatar

Another red like Mi’Lady. That is the best true metallic red that I’ve ever feasted my eyes on. Not too purple, not too orange, just flat out metallic red.

Jessi Avatar

i would like a flat neutral grey with a really intense copper shimmer two tone effect. Also a mossy grey-green with a super bright emerald shimmer.

Lastly I want an intense, matte, bright royal purple that is very blue based, not muddied up with black or white or brownish undertones – used to have an eye pencil like that many years ago and have never been able to find anything remotely like it ever.

Ingamaybe Avatar

For the purple, I would suggest Skeletrina from Tokidoki for Sephora. It’s lovely, but sometimes a little hard to work with, very tightly packed. Try it out, it might be what you’re looking for.

Leenie Avatar

The prettiest blue grey maybe in a frost or matte, I’ve been looking for the longest, Christine if you have any suggestion I would luv you for life. I do have bough grey, and scene by MAC, It doesn’t matter what brand It Is thanks Christine.

Dusty Avatar

I want MAC to put out an actual mid-tone MATTE grey. What’s so hard about that? HUH?! WHAT?!??

Don’t tell me Copperplate either! I’ll shove my Copperplate up your… Copper plate? I donno… But I SO LONG for a true grey eyeshadow from MAC.

alex Avatar

They used to make at least 3: Greystone (which may be a little darker than mid-tone– but was definitely a true, matte grey), Gris (a mid-tone warm grey), and Issue (a mid-tone cool grey).

I still have the ones I bought in ’96 or ’97. They are all lovely– but I hardly ever use them because I know they can’t be replaced!

Sara Avatar

I’d like a very pigmentated deep blue-forest green with purple shimmer and also a purple-greish-taupe.
Both should be very luminous and with a soft pearl finish 🙂

Eleni Avatar

I would like an extremely pigmented really dark red-burgundy (kinda like Sketch) with some warm purple undertones and dark muted pink shimmer . If a colour like that comes out i will buy 10 of hem!!

Nik Avatar

OOH, anything sparkly with minimal fallout and just like you mentioned a few other flashes of color!

Even though sparkly is not used as much, (I mostly use satin and shimmer), I can’t wait until I can get my hands on collecting awesome sparkleness 🙂

aida Avatar

A light brown with warm gold glitter and flashed of dark emerald green and light green, creating a warm honey colour with a bit of green (like my eyes)

Katie Avatar

There’s not one that I’d like to see created, but I love taupe eye shadows. TRUE taupe eye shadows. I hate seeing shadows that are labeled taupe, but aren’t really taupe.

AnGeLwInGz Avatar

Mint green with flashes of pale gold and light pink. I’ll wear any shadow with flashes of color in it but that particular combo would match my bedroom decor.

Annie Avatar

Yes, yes! Me too! And I would love for them to come out with a Veluxe Pearl or Frost black. Like a very smooth, shimmery black.

Kelly Avatar

I’d love to see a company come out with a lime green that had pink duochromes in it! Or maybe a bright teal/aquamarine with lime duochromes and sparkles!

LNU Avatar

Don’t know if this already exists, but I LOVE the teal from the barbie loves stila palette! I have a similar color in an icing by claires palette I bought when I was a kid, and I kept it simply to find that color! I would love to see that color in all different finishes, and especially with silver sparkles, gold sparkles, a more green duochrome, a bluer duochrome, just that color in every way it can possibly be redone!

Jo Avatar

A fully shimmer black with dark grey and silver shimmer reflects, not a matte black with shimmer in it. And a whole range of dark greys and silvers with this kind of finish in cool tones and warm

dolce aria Avatar

I bet you’d LOVE Fyrinnae’s Javan Rhino. Its a fairly light aqua teal with good pigmentation, and lilac flecks!

my big “i’d love to find” at this point, is a matte aqua the same color as MUFE’s aqua flash cream. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that color, and all of the aqua’s I’ve tried are just slightly too dark, or sheer, or shimmery.

dolce aria Avatar

Yeah! I pressed my first batch, but really was disappointed in how much of the subtlety was lost in pressing! I kept my second batch in the jars, though I’d rather have them in my palettes. Sigh.

Q Avatar

I used to prefer pressed shadows, but any more, I hardly reach for even my MAC or Sugarpill shades that are pressed. I really don’t find the loose powders as unweildy as I had at one point and there is SO MUCH versatilty and range when you realize that if there’s not a perfect one out there for you, you can just MAKE one. It’s part of why I hope the mineral makeup thing is long-lived. I’d hate to lose the awesome resources that are so readily available right now.

LH Avatar

Its not one color in particular more of a color collection. I am really into bright out there eyeshadow colors so I think it would be awesome for MAC to have a VP Crayola crayon inspired collection. I look at my kids crayons all the time and say to myself I really wish this one or that one was an eyeshadow because I would totally rock them.

Sandra Avatar

A really bright shimmery yellow!!!! I have crest the wave from mac and its just not cutting it, and I hate matte shades so I dont want chrome yellow :/

Christine Avatar

I actually pre-write all of the Temptalia Asks You posts and then schedule them in advance about a week out, so that I don’t forget to post them at 10pmish (PST) – including this one, so it IS actually a coincidence. To be honest, I’m completely surprised that people would actually think that I’m so incapable that I can’t even come up with my own answer for something as easy as this question. I mean, let’s be real!

Erin Louise Avatar

A buttery smooth (hello Stila!) light soft grey with an opalescent sheen, so at certain angles it flashes pale pink, but is otherwise grey.

Ever since I saw a colour like this on Kate Walsh from her days on Greys Anatomy, I have yearned for an eyeshadow like this!!

Leslie Vossmer Avatar

omg i know this color that you are talking about i recreated kinda with mufe eyeshadows let me find my formula on my vanity and i will email it you !!!

nazneen372 Avatar

A true rich emerald green metallic that doesn’t lean at all blue (darker than UD Graffiti).

“Cadburys” purple high pigment Veluxe Pearl.

Forest green/purple duochrome

MAC Undercurrent in shadow form.

Molly Avatar

There are a few colors I’m looking for actually. All are duecrome wishes since they are my favorites!!

1.) a virbant/bright red toned purple with wither red reflects or bright yellow reflects in it
2.) Lime green with fuschia reflects
3.)Bright Fuschia with lime green reflects
4.) Warm bright chocolate brown with bright violet reflects.

I’m rpetty sure there are more I;m dying to see, but I just can’t think of them right now.

^_^

Alexis Avatar

I would like a matte bright acid green like the one thats in the 88 matte palette but full sized. In my opinion almost all of the greens in the 88 palette are amazing and I want them in full size.

Leslie Vossmer Avatar

i completely agree with you i love love love the greens in the 88 palette! the grass green on needs to be one that someone does in a full size

CeeBee Avatar

Half purple, half grey and half brown (I know, that’s 3 halves and doesn’t make sense ;-p) deep, satin finish…

A metallic pinked up gold, quite light and but too frosty, a really warm, perfectly balanced rosegold shimmer…

Violet indigo with flashes of cobalt and aqua glitter…

And a soft charcoal with iridescent multi-coloured rainbow reflects!

Ms. Jimmi Avatar

I wish MAC would bring back Anti-Establishment and Vellum. That and a fantastic Violet Blue with Silver Shimmer in Veluxe Pearl!

Helena Avatar

Honestly, I have done so much makeup-looking-at over the years that I don’t feel there’s a color that’s been overlooked. I’ve looked at high-end, drugstore, luxury, “mineral” start-ups…I’ve seen it all. LOL. What I wish is that I had the money to buy them all.

Loquita Avatar

…now to answer the original question, I would *love* a deep chocolate brown with gold pearl with the same texture as the MAC Veluxe Pearl shadows (a bit darker and more brown than MAC’s Go, if anyone remembers that one from a few years back). Drool…..

And a wearable red would be killer as well.
