Wow, those look pretty AND promising! Will you be swatching them all, Christine? You will be needing a huge batch of Jack Black’s lip balm by the end of the year with so many lipstick releases! xo

I assume these will be replacing their Rouge Artist lipsticks (keeping them both might get a little confusing!). Do you know if that will be the case? Also, any mention of anything sheer? Many many people love Rouge Artist Natural N9. It would be a bummer to see that gone.

Fran Avatar

I wonder if these are a replacement for the Rouge Artist Intense or Rouge Artist Natural line, or are they a separate, new line with the older formula still available? In spite of the scent, the Rouge Artist Naturals are some of my favorite lipsticks… I know the line is long overdue for a re-formulation, but I hope these turn out to be an addition, not a replacement. And the current Rouge Artist Intense/Natural lipsticks have some of my favorite packaging of all lipsticks… I’ll be really sorry to see that go, I love the clean design, the rectangular shape, the silver-on-black coloring… So, as excited as I am to see new lipsticks from Make Up For Ever, one of my favorite brands, I really hope they’re not taking away some old favorites of mine!

I like Rouge Artist #15, but unfortunately that shade doesn’t have a great formula, but the purple color looks stunning on me. I was hoping they would re-formulate it, but I don’t see it here 🙁 Maybe they gave up on it. And yes, I’m hoping they got rid of the heavy perfume (gag)

I am a big fan of the Make Up For Ever brand, but I wish they would identify their products with a name instead of a number.

OMG, 2016 must be the year of the lip! Between UD Vice, BITE, Maybelline, MAC, and now MUFE, I’m going to have to grow 3 lips to keep up. Hope they aren’t loaded with fragrance like their regular lippies. And I don’t see too many true purple lippies in this line up. I wonder if they are discontinuing their current line

Assume the M is for matte, the C for cream. No sheers? How are metallics categorized? UD has me thinking in their template. D/c of old lines? This is a drop in price point, right? This leaves me with more ?s than answers. Lots of brain cells will be firing, processing this and all the other new lips in town. I pretty much see the color wheel organization in this, too.

This catches my eye because I really like the one I have (#9 copper pink) for its satin finish and general texture, and that these are permanent. But am not up for online only option, and I have all the lip colors I need plus some at the moment, so I’m likely to pass (though I’ll keep an eye out at the local store just in case…).

Zoe Avatar

Poor Christine’s lips.
First the Vice lipsticks and now these!

Excited for all these new colors, especially the brown/rose/plummy ones.

Rachael Avatar

I cant decide if I hate the naming or not. I do, it feels lazy, but then I don’t because at least it’s not arbitrary. I really like c-601 and c-602

Some of these look very pretty. I haven’t ever purchased MUFE lipstick, will be interested to see how the formula wears. Totally get it that budget doesn’t allow reviewing all of them. Hoping you can review a sampling, I value your opinion.

Cat Avatar

With all of these lipstick releases, everyone should be able to find the perfect shade(s) by the end of 2016. Now, I wish someone would release 50 to 120 shades of foundation…

The online only aspect is the only downer w/ MUFE shadows. Online requires the extra step of googling for swatches, hopefully on a skin tone twin. Looks as if there are only 45 of these. If S does get rid of the old ones, there would be plenty of room, unlike with the shadows. Hope these have ‘secret’ names, the way the shadows do. Looks as if the major cos are all following suit, like dominos, reformulating l/s. And making them more ‘price-accessible.’

These are gorgeous. I love MUFE they are the first lipstick I brought the first time I went into a Sephora. I’m so happy they are coming out with new ones. the colors C 105, 106, 108, 101, 208, 404, 407, 603, 604 and 506 are top contenders for me!!

BUT C 501 and 502 must come home with momma!!
