We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Avon Glazewear. By far, the most prolific item in my makeup collection. Perfect texture with no tackiness or non-slip as well. Huge color selection with enough saturation to wear alone but the consistency is light enough to layer over lipstick. I have over 30 in my stash and 5 more on my wish list. Did I mention that you can grab them for under $5 each!
I am checking that out! Thanks!
Hope it works for you too!
HI Stephanie. I’m intrigued by these. Do they have a scent? TIA!
I am a fan of thick, sticky sparkling glosses and my favorites for the past 25 years have been the Lancome Juicy Tubes. I have a few Clinique Glosswears, and I have to admit, a couple of them have sparkles that just don’t quit. Even after the gloss is gone, the sparkles remain. I wore Bonfire yesterday and I had forgotten how incredibly sparkly and long lasting a lipgloss can be! I also wear Kissyfit and Fireberry, and both are loaded with shimmer.
My personal pick is MAC Dazzleglass (and some of their shimmering regular Lipglasses, too). The 2 that I own are simply beautiful and longlasting. Also love Revlon HD lipgloss formula a great deal
I love the Bobbi Brown High Shimmer lip glosses too. However my favorite ones, which are equally as sparkly, are the Dior Addict glosses. There are quite a few with mega sparkle and I’m drawn like a moth to a flame! I love the smooth texture, they wear well on my lips and they just look awesome! They reformulated them and although I’ve not tried the new range I can see that some old favorites are still there, just with different names. Anyway, the ones I have and love are (original names, sorry):
Fancy Purple
Paradise
Spring Ball
Diablotine
Iconic Red (not as sparkly as the others due to more pigmented base but still gorgeous)
I’m not really a gloss person but when it comes to shimmer I’m a sucker for it! 🙂
My favorite was Sally Beauty’s Monster Gloss, but they discontinued it. From what’s currently available: MAC Lipglass, Hard Candy Glossaholics, and Wet n Wild Megaslicks.
D’oh! Totally forgot about the Revlon HDs and CoverGirl Lip Lavas (I just wore a Revlon HD yesterday, too). Those would be on my list as well.
I have Cover Girl Lip Lava in Lava-nder (purple), it’s kind of thick, but the sparkle factor is insane. Love!
Sephora made the best one ever. It was called diamond gloss and it came in a little clear ball that was etched like a diamond. I will miss it forever. 🙁
It looked like this:

Chantecaille lipglosses – amazing formula; very hydrating, gel-like texture with zero stickiness and smells of honey.
Bobbi Brown, UD, and Revlon.
I recently bought a Buxom ‘full-on’ gloss, thinking that the tingle wouldn’t be any big deal, but I was wrong. It’s annoying. A pity because I like it otherwise, in terms of wear, degree of sparkle, color, etc. But I do love shimmer glosses, so I am appreciating everyone’s comments.
I think they offer a line without the peppermint tingle. I forget what they’re called though.
Good to know. I shall look into. Thanks!
Revlon HD, Clinique Glosswear (thick but really long lasting), Givenchy Gelée d’Interdit.
Its not every day I wear lip gloss, although I do swipe some on toward the end of the day. But thats because my lips are dry and I need some color. I love Chanel lip gloss. It has a soft texture on the lips and stays put for a few hours. Doesn’t slide off the lips like some of the others I tried. Another good one is Dior, but their colors are not that popular.
Chanel Glossimer in Blizzard. I just loved that one so much when I wanted a no makeup look. It was so pretty and it really wore well considering how light it is/was. I don’t even know if they still make it, and I have bought it twice. It lasts forever, and I usually have a backup of my favorites, but I never got around to having a lot of these. I usually wear Urban Decay Gash most of the time, and it’s rare that I wear something like Blizzard, but I have a tube for the times I go with a BB cream and a little mascara.
Ooooh gonna have to check out the Bobbi Brown ones then! I quite like the Estée Lauder Sunburst lipgloss from the Bronze Goddess range.
Some Chanel Glossimers are really nice and shimmering but nothing tops the Bobbi Brown High Shimmers IMO.
This one is a toss-up for me, because I have three that I REALLLY love! I have a clear gloss from Guerlain’s holiday collection last year and it’s simply gorgeous — that perfect lip gloss that makes your lips look like a pool of light, loaded with pastel microglitter. I also went really crazy when I got my hands on the first M.A.C. Miley lip gloss because it looks absolutely insane on! It cools down my usually warm coral lips and spackles them with gorgeous pearly glittery goodness! My last one is from Kryolan — I know a lot of boys and girls don’t use stage makeup but their High Gloss is phenomenal. I only have one shade so far, named “Indian Summer” and everything about it is what I like in a gloss. It’s SO pigmented, like a liquid lipstick, and shines a bright orange copper (Almost like OCC Authentic) with heavily concentrated shimmer (but not glitter). It almost looks like a metallic liquid lipstick, it’s SO pigmented. All three smell good (Miley’s smells like regular M.A.C. formula, Guerlain’s smells like that classic, rich rose scent) but I think my favorite is the one from Kryolan — it reminds me of Captain Crunch cereal, such a sweet dessert smell. I think I’m going to go play in my lip glosses right now!
MAC Plushglass. I like the shine, the feel, the wear. My personal favorite is Full for You. I wear it over lots of different colors and it works with the vast majority to change up a look and add some gleam.
Stila Magnificent Metals, and most of my love is for the rich dessert-like taste and smell! Reminds me of the Yankee Candle hot buttered rum scent. So. Freaking. Delicious. But pretty too! My favorite red lip gloss, Garnet, is from this line.
My all-time favorite was unfortunately, limited edition MAC Pedro Lourenco lipglasses in Mirror (silver shimmer/glitter) and Gold Mirror (gold shimmer/glitter). Unfortunately, I only got the opportunity to purchase Mirror. If I had the opportunity to purchase them all over again, I would purchase a nearly endless supply of each. The various looks you could create with those two are endless. Please MAC, bring them back!! If anyone could recommend anything similar, please let me know. Most dupes are just clear based glosses with nearly undetectable shimmer.
