mine used to be maybelline, until they discontinued it. 🙁 It was black. In liquid form. Not the flaky one. I forgot what it was called. I love strong liquid eyeliners that wont budge till the end of the day! I’m still searching for a new one

Feline is my go-to 🙂 Or Graphblack. I use them both interchangeably – kind of like, whichever one I find first.
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner is pretty decent. Never flakes or budges on me. I had to go to Walmart to find it though; CVS didn’t have it for some reason.

It used to be Urban decay 24/7 pencil in ZERO. But then I discovered FELINE (all cuz of you, Christine) and OMGGG I love it. It’s the blackest pencil I’ve ever been able to find. I got 2 backups and might go back and get even more 🙂
I have two backups, too! I’ve barely sharpened my first, LOL.
I love Bobbi Brown’s Gel Eyeliners and I’m using Espresso, Graphite Shimmer and Black Mauve Shimmer at the moment, depending on the look I’m doing. I’ve also got Feline because I wanted a black liner and there was such a rave about it, but it smudges so much on me that I don’t know how to wear it without having to check my makeup every 15 minutes or so 🙁

It sucks that Feline smudges on you 🙁 Maybe use it for a smudgy look and set with black shadow?
This is what I’m worried about. My eyes tear at a moment’s notice because my eyes are pretty sensitive. I’ll have to try it out before I buy it.

no,the only thing important for me in a liner is,that it must be new,than i dont have to suffer while getting the color out of the tube 🙂

It’s an eye pencil by MAC, called coffee. I’ve found lately that I’ve been doing more tightlining, and it’s the perfect intensity for day looks.
Oh, nice! It is a good color for dark liner, but not too dark.

Christine, are you reading my mind?!?! Your posts lately have been EXACTLY what I am thinking about! All day yesterday I was researching eyeliners online as I am searching for my HG. I want to try some of the Styli-Style Line and Seal liners, I think. Has anyone tried them?

I haven’t tried either, but I remember hearing a rave on Styli-Style, I think. I loveee UD’s 24/7 pencils – you won’t be disappointed with those. Of course, Feline is my HG black.
Styli liners are ok and don’t budge much but they’re harder to apply in my experience. They don’t always go on smooth and the color isn’t always as vivid as I would like. I feel like I have to press down hard to get any color. I prefer Urban Decay’s 24/7 pencils. If there’s a sale though I’d try a couple and see what you think, since they do have a wide range of colors.
I too thought the Styli liners were going to be worth trying, but I was horribly wrong. I bought one and was pleased with it (the 24/7 one) so I went back to get the much raved about “flat liners” and was really disappointed. It wouldn’t go on and when I did get a hint of it on, it skipped and tugged and left me looking like I had pink eye. I threw it out immediately. A week later, the 24/7 liner I did like dried out and still didn’t work after I sharpened it.
I love my Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in black ink and my Graphblack. The UDs are amazing as well.

It is the mini-sized (gwp) lol lots of my stuff thats not mac are gwp that my mum has given me!
I like it, but I will not buy it, as it does smudge when I tightline my eyes with it. It’s great for smokey looks though!
I still haven’t got around to buying feline, but I think I will since it is soooooo popular…..so it just HAS to be good lol 😀
I might try a gel (potted) eyeliner when i’m game enough, but not in the foreseeable future.
I’m waiting out for the mac ‘penultimate eyeliner’ that is has a v. fine felt tip….maybe like the lancome one, not sure!

Feline is just a very intense black, and it’s hard to find one so intense. I think that’s where some of the hype comes from 🙂
Greenplay by MAC. When I don’t feel like fussing with any eyeshadow, one swipe of that is all the eye makeup I need.
Definitely one that can make eyes pop!

I really like Bobbi Brown gel liners. My go-to colors are: Graphite Shimmer, Chocolate Shimmer, Espresso. I also like MAC’s Blitz & Glitz.

I usually wear MAC technakohl in graphblack. At night I go over it with Chanel Automatic liquid liner in Noir and wing out the ends a little.

it used to be mac fluidline or bobbi brown gel eyeliners. now it’s k-pallette liner. i’m in love with it! it stays on all day and all it takes is a little water to wash it off.

It has got to be MAC’s Kohl Power Pencils in any colour or Urban Decay’s 24/7 Pencils. MAC’s fluidline, again in any colour, comes in at third.

I always buy Palladio Liquid Liner in black. I don’t have a particular brand for kohl liners. It seems like I pick up a different brand every time I run out. Right now I’m using E.L.F Brighting Eyeliner in black. It’s pretty darn good for $1.00. I will be buying again.

MAC technakohl liner in greyprint. I like it because you can gradually build the darkness of the gray. Black can look a bit harsh on me, and make my eyes look smaller.

I’m a huge fan of all MAC liners (esp. the Kohl Power or Soft Sparkle kinds), but I also really love UD’s 24/7 liners (Gunmetal is my favourite, but 1999 and Stash are also fantastic). I really have to mention UD’s liquid liners as well. They are so easy to use and last ALL day. I’ve never been so in love with a liquid liner before! Shattered and Smog are my fave shades, but I have a bunch and use them frequently!

MAC liquidlast liner and fluidline and MUFE Aqua Eyes. I tend to use them all pretty interchangably. They’re all different colors and nothing else stays on eyes.

I find the UD 24/7 is better than the MUFE. MUFE tends to smear easier if you don’t have time to let it set. If you have slightly oilier skin or if you use moisturizer underneath your foundation, it will prob leave a line when you open your eyes.

My staples are Bobbi Brown’s Gel Eyeliner in Black Mauve Shimmer Ink, her Eye Pencil in Dusk and MAC’s Technakohl Liner in Archival.
Black Mauve is sooo pretty!
MAC powerpoint pencil eyeliner in engraved and clinique brush on cream liner in graphite, they’re both black anyway. With both of these I line my eyes, then smudge it a little (i prefer smudgy, not precise), and it’s good for the rest of the day! and drunk overnights too 😉
Oh, yes, Clinique’s Brush-On Creams are fab!
i mostly use smashbox creme eyeliner. i buy the little palettes, and they come with a small version of their liner brush. i like the variety of colors! otherwise i just grab an avon glimmerstick (the waterproof one) in blackest night.
I love those palettes, so handy!
I use Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner for nighttime looks. I always grab UD 24/7 in Zero for my waterline unless I’m going for a softer look. I need to get another brown waterproof pencil but I’ve been making do with a few Lancome pencils that I got for $8 each at TJ Maxx. (Brown, plum)
I’ve been hearing that the L’Oreal HIP eyeliner pots (not sure if they’re cream or gel) are pretty decent. Has anyone tried them?
yup. They aren’t as amazing as the Bobbi Brown’s, but they are def second in line and way better than any other drugstore gel pot. I’d recommend getting a different brush than the one it comes with though.
I haven’t tried Zero, but I just got it, so I will have to!
I love my Blacktrack fluidline, which I usually go over in Feline, Smoulder or UD 24/7 in Zero. Also LOVE the GOSH liners! Both liquid and pencil!

A MAC one in Buried Treasure. Pure black is Im. Pos. Sible. with my colouring, but that deep gold-flecked earthy tone works a charm.
Recently got a Boots No 7 cheapy that’s very nice indeed, too.
For liquid, my go-to is GOSH Extreme Art liners. Never budge, come in ah-mah-zing colours and are relatively cheap.

Feline is alri. So is blacktrack. I actually like Bobbi and Jane over blacktrack. I am the biggest eyeliner hoor ever, though. I’ve known about/had my HG for two years now. I love it, and have 16 back-ups. Best, darkest, longest-lasting, non-smudging eyeliner you can get in the US.

I love the UD 24/7 pencils (Electric is awesome with UD Peace deluxe shadow over it), but Zero tends to smudge under my eyes. My all time favorite “basic” black & brown eyeliners are Clinique’s Quickliner for Eyes. I always end up going back to them (I’ve been using them for over 10 years!)
Ohh, haven’t tried that combo yet. I just got Electric, though!

I have a noncomercial eyeliner – Shahnaz Husain’s Kajal. It’s amazing. The darkest black I’ve ever gotten, and won’t budge too much. It comes in a lipstick type thing in a cone shape. It’s applied the middle eastern way.. and no lead!!

i am really like this LE cream liner from wetnwild. it was only a few bucks and works sooo much better than my HIP one. ive never tried MACS but when i got the hip, i used it and it just wouldnt do it right, so i gave up. but then i got the wetnwild, and its like-i can finaly make a good line….so i need to either stock up before they are gone, or hope to find a better one 🙁

MAC’s Graphic Brown Fluidline – absolute HG! It’s starting to dry up somewhat, though and it’s LE. 🙁 It’s a lovely, shimmering earthy brown shade, kind of like Mulch eyeshadow in fluidline form.
a few drops of mixing medium or fix ++ will fix the dryness!! 🙂

Until I discovered MAC Powerpoint in Buried Treasure and MAC Technakohl in Graphblack.
And just last week, I finally relented and tried MAC Fluidline in Sweet Sage. WOW!! I went back the two days later and got me Blacktrack as well.
There’s no looking back!! love love LOVE IT!

Mac Kohl power in Orpheus. I rarely, rarely buy backups, but I did with this one. It’s *just* the right darkness for pale me, and the gold shimmer is outstanding. I recently tried the Jane be pure mineral gel liners, and they’re super good for the money.

i guess nobody knows about inglot here. i have 3 black liners from them: pencil, liquid and gel. all black black. but the gel one has the greatest staying power. i’m trying to master it.

Clinique Quick eyes – it’s thin enough To fill in between your lashes, never needs sharpening and wears quite well. I also like MAC Powerpoint liners.

I loveeee Lorac’s black eyeliner. It doesn’t get enough cred. The eyeliner is soft, but it does not have the tendency to run (unless applied very thickly). I’ve tried Stila and Urban Decay and even Makeup4Ever’s waterproof and they all run on me.
Also Bourjois makes great highly pigmented eyeliners. I love to line my upper lid in black and then a thick stripe of one of their colored liners on top of that.
