Today (May 29th) only, Nordstrom is having a special where you can purchase two mascaras [from the same brand] and get a third free [of the brand’s top selling mascara]. It only applies to certain mascaras, which you can see here. Even though it says only applicable to certain brands, all the major mascara contenders are included — Chanel, Dior, Lancome — along with Bare Escentuals, Bobbi Brown, Chantecaille, Clarins, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Guerlain, Laura Mercier, MAC, NARS, Shiseido, Smashbox, Trish McEvoy, YSL and more.
Heads up, though — I think doing this in-store will yield you more variety. Just like when Nordstrom did buy 2 eyeshadows, get 1 free for MAC, you could only get the same shade for free online, but in-store, you could choose. I haven’t been to Nordstrom (hey, it’s 7am!) today, so I couldn’t tell you myself, but you could always call and ask before making the trip over, too. 🙂 Funny enough, I don’t think there is any mascara I’d be willing to commit to with 2-3 tubes, haha.
oooooooooooooh estee lauder had those really pretty bright mascaras last year. i sure wouldnt mind 3 tubes of those.
I admit, as soon as I read this I jumped over to the site. Then I got to the small print. Nope, I am not willing to commit either Christine. I want to choose, from more than one brand.
If I were stateside, I would go to the store, because I think Christine is right about getting the kinds you choose.
Yep! It’s too bad that you can’t choose online or at least have *some* freedom on it.
The lady at the MAC counter at Nordstrom told me that as long as its within the same brand, you can choose three different types. They just have to be all MAC, all Clinique and so on.
mm I could maybe do dior show maybe the iconic and maybe a waterproof…
If Nordstrom had Tarte, I would have jumped on this. I got a sample pack of their mascaras and am really liking them. I can’t think of a Nordstrom brand that I would want 3 of, though.

Funny, I actually had someone come in today mentioning this article and I had to have a department manager come down to explain to them that she couldn’t buy her Clinique High Impact and get her Diorshow for free.
But that was practically my whole day. I never want to see another tube of mascara again.

got fribre rich lash and plush lash
i think that mac’s mascaras are actually pretty good
they’re not that expensive either compared to higher end brands like ysl, dior, and chanel
