Five Minute Looks: Green & Greener

Five Minute Looks: Green & Greener

I was in a rush yesterday, but I wanted to play with some new makeup–I was desperate to do a look with YSL’s Slate Green. The nearest to it was MAC’s Sweet & Punchy and my new Make Up Forever Aqua Creams… and thus, this look was created! Lashes are a lil’ funky, because I applied Barelash mascara on ’em about an hour prior.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying #13 aqua cream as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow on the lower lid. Next, apply #5 Slate Green eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending outwards and onto the outer lid. Blend Grain eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Black Black pencil on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Opulash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #5 aqua cream to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 130.

For lips, apply #5 aqua cream first, and then layer Satin Peach ultra gloss for a complementing lip.

I love it, it’s a ravishing, youthful. Simple but great. I’m not sure it’d work on my skintone but I’m crazy about the lips. Can you think about a similar color in MAC lip products? Also do you think such lips would work on a NW15/brunette/grey-green eyes?

Also your foundation look flawless and so even, it’s impressive. Is this MUFE HD so awesome? I normally don’t like foundation and don’t wear any (I only wear light coverage things) but I’m sincerely impressed. What reference would suit a skin tone slightly less orange and more beige than NW15? Also would it suit a dry/dehydrated/sensitive skin?

(so much questions, Christine… I’m sorry to bug you) 🙁

Thanks a lot, Jellynat! 🙂

Maybe MAC Vegas Volt + Prr? (Something to lighten Vegas Volt.) But I do think they could work for you!

I like HD for photos/video. In person, it doesn’t knock my socks off, but it DOES photograph really, really well. Readers have commented that I have perfect skin — but I don’t, I have breakouts for sure! — so that is a huge thing!

For NW15, either 110 or 115. Yes, it’s a semi-matte/slightly dewy foundation, so it should be fine on your drier skin!

Did you do that look in only 5 minutes? Christine… you´re a genius! I love the look, it reminds me something tropical. And love the lips too!

I really want to try this….could you still do this look with MAC Lucky Green Eyeshadow instead of Sweet and Punchy??

Thanks!! 😀
