I really dislike lip balms that are petroleum jelly based. My favorite lip balm is Yu-Be. I’ve gone through 2 tubes of it! I do wish it had SPF, but I still love it.
I’m looking for the perfect lip balm that will moisturize my lips and help my color last! Do you have any suggestions?
Lipbalm? Only organic. The best one is from Weleda. Otherwise I use organic lipgloss as lipbalm, they are usualy barely tinted and a real pleasure for lips! My fave there is Dr. Hauschka with the red gloss.
I love tinted lip balms like Korres lip butters. But I’d have to say, Carmex is my HG. It keeps my lips from chapping and feels good. It’s also pretty cheap!
My favorite lip balm is Dr. Dobb’s Peppermint Tingle. It’s am amazing slick consistency and has that strong mint scent/taste. It’s all natural and fantastic.
I also love NYX Tinted Lip Spa. Lovely texture, color and scent. I like Copacabana and Sake.
Easier to find loves: Soft Lips and Nivea Kiss of Moisture. I love the silicone based lippies the consistency is fantastic.
I hate waxy lip blam. I also do not like lip balms in pots or tins. They are cute but not easy to apply.
I love my Labello med protection (SPF 12).
I look for something that feels good on my lips. (I chew my lips when nervous/thinking.) I also want something that smells/tastes good. In addition, it shouldn’t be too gloopy/sticky. I want something that sinks into the lips, not just smothers them.
1.) The Prescriptives lip tints. (Sadly, discontinued with the brand. *sob*)
2.) Nivea/Labellos.
3.) Stila 24 kt gloss–amazing!
4.) BBW Lemon Vanilla lip balm. –I’m going to buy a back-up. *That* is how amazing this gloss is.
5.) The Bobby Brown lip tints in the squeeze tubes–excellent, but a little boring in terms of flavor/scent.
MAC Lip Conditioners are BOMB (besides the sticking ur finger into the pot)
NIVEA lip treatment – thumbs up.
BENEFIT – lip exfoliater + lip silky balm – LOVES
What I use is mac lip conditioners and if I’m not using those I use carmex
I like Chapstick in peppermint, cuz it makes your lips all tingly! I also love my Burt’s bees although that takes awhile to sink in…
LUSH’s Lip Service is my HG for chapped lips.
I find that most lip balms that come in tubes aren’t as moisturizing as those in jars/tins/tubs etc. It’s a shame, since tubes are a tiny bit more hygienic.
my fave is rosebud strawberry lip balm. it is the best! i’ve been using it for about 8 years now! wish it had some spf in it though.
Rant: I don’t like waxy lip balms that don’t actually do anything.
Rave: Every now and then, I do find something fantastic that actually conditions my lips and those are totally worth my time. *smears on some Zoya Hot Lips*
i love love love love burt’s bees beeswax lip balm. i’ve probably gone through 10 or 15 tubes of it, no joke. of course, i did lose some of them… anyhow, it’s great and cheap and doesn’t irritate my throat (most lip balms and lipsticks contain an ingredient that i’m allergic to). i highly recommend burt’s bees products to everyone 🙂
I used Kiehl’s Lip Balm for almost 10 years, not sticky and super nourishing. Upgraded to La Mer Lip Balm which is incredible. My full lips are perfect. It is expensive but will last for ages and your lips will show amazing results. I bought quite a few for my loved ones and they swear by it!

I use Chapstick religiously.
For the last year i’ve been a balm maniac i dont know why. I have several of these (recently tried the famous Carmex but i didnt like it). My favourite is La France Pear Lip Cream (i order it from bobodave and its in the cutest package ever!). I think that MAC’s tlc are pretty decent too.
My all-time favourite are the MAC tendertones, they’re moisturising and pretty sticky so it stays on very well

My favorite lip balm (the actual name )from Bath&Body Works is my holy grail. It keeps my lips from getting chapped and is not sticky in any way. The smell of it reminds me of Starbucks Green Tea Frap! =) I also carry My EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit. =)
i don’t think many people know/use/love this lip balm, but for me, C.O.Bigelow’s My Favorite Lip Balm by far the best thing lip balm i’ve ever tried! i have very bad chapped lips and they are peeling all the time.this lip balm really helps moisture and prep my lips ready for lipstick while i’m doing my makeup!

honestly? the best is fresh sugar lip treatment- that stuff is the bomb. I love the rose one as well.
regular old chapstick is great as well. But i hate carmex, blistex, burt’s bees, and even yu-be. tho yu-be is my second favorite, since the fresh one is so expensive
Estee Lauder’s Sun Supreme Lip Balm. It keeps my lips soft and smooth, plus it has SPF that protects them from the sun and prevents aging.Smoothes lips so that I can put any lipstick on without problems.It also has a pleasant scent, not so intense, that smells a bit of orange.
I have yet to fing a holy grail lipbalm but I love MAC’s li treatment and tendertones.
Gotta have my trusty Blistex SPF 15!!
recently tried smashbox’s lip treatment spf 15 and i LOVE it! before that i’ve been using this free sample of vitamin water’s lip balm, and it has been my miracle worker.
I hate petroleum-based lip balms. Not only do I hate the feel and taste of vaseline on my lips, but I’m not keen on ingesting it either. Burt’s Bees and EOS are my two favorite lip balms. Natural ingredients and no icky taste.
I hate that they come in little tubs (the ones I like anyways) and hello bacteria spread.
i’m kind of obsessed with Burts Bee lip balm. Gets rid of all cracks. Bliss tex on the other hand pisses me off to no end. Feels like I’ve got Wax on my lips
i love lip balm! my favourite is Burts Bees beeswax lip balm, because it’s matte and not greasy looking. also good- korres lip butter in jasmine, carmex, rosebud salve. im always wanting to try new ones <3
I’m still looking for one that hits all my must-haves: SPF, no smell, no taste, doesn’t feel gross, comes in a tube, and doesn’t totally melt when I keep it in my pocket all day. Right now I’m loving the Glossy Lip Tint from Flourish (www.flourishbathbody.etsy.com), which doesn’t have SPF but hits all the rest and has basically no color on my lips (I’m using Azalea, but it comes in a range of colors).
I sue EOS lipbalm! its amazing! super moisturizing and nice.
regular chapstick is the way to go
I usually use the regular Burt’s Bees (in the tube) during the day, and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment at night.
Nothing petroleum-based will touch my lips, I won’t even kiss my husband if he’s using cheap lip balm with a petrochemical base. It’s just too nasty!
I think Nivea Kiss of Moisture is the best lip balm-hands down!
this topic is like a dagger in my heart. why?? bc i lost not only a near-new P+P lip today, but a NARS velvet matte lip pencil too…that i’d only sharpened once. they fell out of my bag never to be seen again. :'( i am actually really devastated lol. while P+P isn’t really a lip balm i do like to use it as one, i usually start with a lip scrub then P+P, let it sit a while, then follow with lip color and it comes out beautifully.
my real rant is that i wish they came in higher SPFs. i’ve had chapstick ones at 30+ but they are white and chalky.
Love easy to apply and ultra smooth balms like eos and hate the ones like candlewax like vintage chapstick.
Rosebud salve is definitely my favorite. I even use it on my nose when I have a cold to help it heal. its amazing!
I have yet to find a lip balm that works for me 🙁
I have full lips and unfortunately anything with SPF seems to make them dry and that’s when the whole peeling/cracking cycle begins. None seem to be moisturizing enough or sink in, but I’ve been reading the comments and I’m going to have to check out a few I haven’t tried or heard of 🙂

fresh sugar lipbalm and bobbi brown..can’t remember the name, but it’s the one that comes in a silver tin. Those are the best. Otherwise, Nivea ans say yes to carrot will do in a pinch as well.
I love my Blistex (peralized grey tube), smells wonders, and works like a charm for me.
I really like using lip balm. But I HATE the white line that appears on the lips from some after awhile 🙁
omg korres lip butters are the best…jasmine to be my fav!
I put it on before night sleep and next day my lips are moistrized , no chipping no nothing.i sometimes find myself feeling it on my lips the next morning (i mean it doesn’t go off that quickly at all!)
totally recommend it!

rant: burt’s bees is crap for me. it’s waxy and makes my lips peel and dries out on my lips in just a few minutes. bleah.

alba botanica pomegranate — a good one that sinks in and doesn’t just sit on top of your lips in a wax slick.
Aquafina — just plain mint. it works so good on my lips. it healed my chapped, cracked lips overnight. i use it just about everyday but i don’t have to because it works so good for me. i bought it 2 for $1 at big lots. fantastic stuff that i never imagined would work.
I love the La Mer Balm and the Clinique Black honey!
I really dig anything that makes my lips smooth & glossy and the smell and taste are also very important to me.
Right now my favorite is Bonne Bell Lip Smacker in Coca-Cola Vanilla. It smells and tastes totally amazing and the texture is fab as well! If you like Coke, def check it out, you won’t regret! 😉
All lip balms leave that white line or little bits of white on my lips after about 20 mins! What am I doing wrong? My lips aren’t even that dry!
Love carmex and how it makes lips so moisturised, HATE how I am now addicted and cant live without it =/
How funny no one mentions The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Lip care stick! It’s cocoa butter-based (hence the name) and sooo effing moisturizing! A little bit of chocolatey smell/taste is always a plus. I also do like Burt’s bees (the honey one). Too bad Rosebud Salve is petroleum based. Bah.
can’t live without them as I have quite full but dry lips (realized that that’s mainly a problem of girls with full lips, at least among my friends). my favorite is the classic labello(german and had it’s 100th birthday last year), blisstex or neutrogena
My absolute favorite lip-balm is the Yes to Carrots Mint Lip Butter. It’s the best I’ve found so far.

Blistex in strawberry is my go-to if my lips really need moisturisation. Gives a really pretty tint and slight sheen, too – plus it has spf ^^ for something thinner I use soft lips or chapstick.
I really love Korres lip butter. It has been the only one that hasn’t made my lips worst (although I haven’t tried Carmax). The worst lip balm is The Body Shop lip butter! That made my lips chap like crazy.
I need lip balm. Its just an essential to me and is probably the only cosmetic item I have always, always had. I’ve lately had a tendency to prefer lip balms with more edible ingredients as I’ve realised I probably ingest most of my lip balm. Gross! Though I do love Brambleberry Rose lip balm: Its fantastic apart from what you’re ingesting.
