First, I’ll share mine!
Haul: I bought a few items that a lot of readers requested for me to review, so I figured to at least get them while they were slightly on sale 🙂
Excited for: *fingers crossed* some decent weather and spending some time outdoors!
So I took a (mini) break from makeup shopping

I’ll be swinging to Sephora tonight to finally purchase the Philosophy Retinol serum “Help Me” and my favorite Fresh scent is now in rollerball form. I am hoping this is all that I walk away with. Because I’m planning to buy some 24/7 liners from the UD sale.
How do you like Chanel lip liner, Alexis? Haven’ ttried before…
it is really a fleshy color on me – at first I didn’t know what to think of it but I do like that it softens the natural lip line of my lips. I am loving the glossimer – it hasn’t freaked my lips out yet.

I’ve got two Chanel Lipliners – Tulip and Pretty Pink.
Tulip is a lovely muted rose but I think mine dried a little (perhaps because its older?) so it kinda make the lipstick on top a little parched-looking but gloss fixes it (this is for lip filling, for lip lining it absolutely fine).
Pretty Pink I got few months after Tulip. Its name suggests its colour basically (like MAC LaLa eyeshadow in lipliner). I think its soft but not like butter for sure but definitely softer than MAC. When I use it to fill in my lips and put lipstick on top, there isn’t any parched or dry look to it.
My mom loves them and so do I. 🙂

And I got lots of samples for foundations, tinted moisturizer. So far I like Sephora’s tinted moisturizer and Stila’s oil free foundation. Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer seems too dewy for me…gonna try different application techniques 😀

Sephora got me with the 15% VIB sale. And it helps that my awesome boyfriend paid for some of it as a gift.
I can’t wait to try ALL of them but am totally digging High Beam and Hoola. And LOVE MUFE blush – such awesome staying power! And love the Josie Maran Argan Oils. Actually..I think I love them all. LOL.
The kits were AWESOME deals though.

I’m having a Chanel week–I ordered Chanel Gold Lame and Illusion d’Or a couple days ago, and today I hope Nouvelle Vague and the summer collection is in at my local Chanel counter.

I was pretty well behaved this week! I restocked at Lush with Roma face water, dream cream and the ocean salt facial cleanser. Then, I walked to Sears to buy the Estee Lauder bronze goddess shadows. They were sold out of turquoise and bronze, so I came home with the other two. PS what is the best way to apply these? They’re so pretty, but they should have come with a manual. I also picked up my Sephora birthday gift and Nars Penny Lane blush. This wasn’t as small of a haul as I thought it was, apparently. lol

Okay, that was a lot! 🙂 But I’m just starting my makeup collection! I’m undecided about whether to keep the foundation, powder, 187, and 188 brushes. I liked the look of the foundation and powder in the store, but when I got home the makeup looked really caked on. The MA suggested for 187 brush for foundation and the 188 for blush. I tried the 188 for blush and I felt like I had a hard time putting it on evenly. I used the 109 for it instead (which she told me was for powder). So I’ll have to play around more. But I love everything else I bought!
Excited about spending the weekend with my sister!
the 187 is a must!! must!!! I had the 188 but swapped it away for a different brush because it was just too small for me to work with for putting on blush.

I like the 188 for *cream* blush, but it’s not as great for powder blushes, I think. For powder blush, loveee the 116!

Try the 109 brush for foundation, blush, bronzing and contouring. I love this brush, even I believe it´s self-cleaning!!!!
The only thing I’ve gotten was something on saturday, the Chanel glossimer gloss in Venus. Ever since I saw the swatches I’d been dying to pick it up! But I haven’t gotten anything else, even though I’m a vib and I have that coupon, I have no idea what to get other than the philosophy facewash you suggested! And I’m usually allll over buying new make up…but nothing seems to be grabbing my eye :\
Annnnd I’m excited to finally have a day off for the first time since easter! Wooohoo!

my sephora order is “out for delivery” and that contains pacifica blood orange body butter, korres ginger and vitamins foundation, opi for sephora 212, and sephora flirt it lash duo.
i took an exam this morning pretty hungover but i think i pwned it nonetheless. pride week is winding down and i am participating in the day of silence today. going out for the night of noise tonight!

I got my second MAC eyeshadow pallet with a slue of natural and brown eyeshadows. Now I need to add some more colours into my pallets.
I also pickedup the Benefit Stay Put Eye Primer which I am still testing out. Not sure if I like it as much as the Bare Escentials eye primer.
I am doing my first Semi-formal makeup job tonight. The girls have given me pictures of their dresses so I am coming in with ideas. On the fence as to whether I should add a bit of colour or keep it natural. I’ll ask the girls what they think.

Only a Mat´Morphose Make-up. It´s really good, if it would have a bit more covering power, this would a fantastic foundation. Do you know this product, Christine? Or any one else?

Today I went to MAC and bought a 182 and 116 brush ; also eyeshadow in ‘shale’ and 2 lipsticks : I asked for Syrup and Creme Cup… The MUA made a mistake and at home I found Syrup and Cyber… I definitely cannot advise you Cyber. Bringing back is not an option since it’s more than 50 km to the Mac Counter…

I am supposed to not be buying any makeup right now but I kind of bought the Stila Holiday lip glaze kit of 8 off ebay and I bought some Gosh velvet touch lipstick in Darling (which is a wonderful nude!) and a Soft n Shine lip balm in Kiss which is an awesome tinted lip balm with lots of colour. Do you have Gosh cosmetics in the U.S. ? I also bought a Lise Watier neutral quad for something to wear to work that is “appropriate” for my summer job!
I wish we had Gosh here! 🙁 I haven’t seen it yet!
I was lusting after the new MUFE blushes after reading your review here. So I ordered it in Nip Slip sight unseen (which I have never done before) and I am in love with it! I was nervous because I have really pale skin and I was worried it might go on too heavily, but it is amazing, easy to blend out, and looks natural but better. I do think I am going to need to pump some out into a little jar, though, because it is unbelievable how little you need to use and it’s really hard to get the right amount from the pump. I’ve been trying out a sample of Kiehl’s tinted moisturizer and am really happy with it.
I know — what is with all these oversized pump containers? Was there a special? LOL. I do find the MUFE one to be a little more forgiving and easier to press a little at a time, but definitely do find it’s nicer in a separate jar. At least it’s mostly air tight and won’t get bacteria in it easily?
Haul: I’ve got a NARS the Multiple in Antibes. I was looking for it long time ago, but I couldn`t win any Ebay Bid. At least I have it! I can´t understand why NARS discontinued this multiple, because it is GORGEOUS!. I also got MAC Paintpot in Painterly and MAC e/s in Knight Divine, I need more grey eyeshadows
Excited: I´m a fan of Formula1 since I was a child, all weekend i will enjoy the Shanghai Grand Prix
Pride: Today a had a blue look with MAC pigments in Azreal Blue and Cornflower, some people told me I was very good-looking. Blue colours match gorgeous with brown eyes!

I finally found a place that carries the Essie wedding collection! I bought Walk Down the Aisle, Show Me the Ring, and Main Squeeze. Not sure which one I will wear at my wedding, I think it depends on the colour of my dress.

I think Show me the Ring is my favourite. It’s a really nice pale champagne colour with almost an opalescent/pearl finish. It might look nice with an ivory dress.
Main Squeeze is really opalescent (I’m such a sucker for that!) and kind of gray.
Walk Down the Aisle is kind of a plain, warmish white.

These % off sales are killing my wallet. from urban Decay i got 24/7 Stereophonic set, primer Potion Duo, and Lounge and S&M eyeshadows. From Sephora got Nars blush in Desire, Make Up For Ever HD blush #5, Kat Von D eyeshadow palette in Metal Orchestra, and perricone ceramic Skin Smoother. Also did a couple of swaps and got Cargo blu-ray blush and Kat Von D palette in True Love.
My in-laws and my mom are all coming to visit our new house this weekend. Should be exciting.

i finally found some sunglasses. i don’t have a “glasses face”, mostly every glasses look ridiculous on me. but now i have the perfect sunglasses. furthermore i bought a dior addict gloss.
i hope it will be nice and sunny weather in the next few day, so that i can wear my glasses.

And I’m HOPEFULLY getting the powderflage from Benefit as well, and after that I am staying away from makeup (not buying anymore until I use at least three things up, and I am the slowest at that..! blah).

I went shopping with my best friend in Auckland, picked up Permaplum eye pencil and Raven khol. Ordered Designer Purple, Petrol Blue and Undercurrent from Art Supplies which is due to arrive here next week.
Also picked up lipsticks in Creme de la Femme, which is this totally fun, metaliic cool milky pink and I wanted Laugh a Lot but they were out so I got Viva Glam VI instead.
For blush I got Peachykeen and Gentle Mineralize, which I LOVE. The SA seemed to thik Dainty was something I should have and while it is very pretty indeed, Gentle is the most perfect neutral dusty glowy rose. Love at first sight!
I also got three Jordana lipsticks (for $3 each, since I just about ran out of money after spending it all on MAC) in Grape (lovely berry cream), Matte Natural (perfect nude) and Passionate Pink (slightly warm yellow toned beige pink – gorgeous!)
I bought 2 new T-shirts and a funky coloured striped scarf, a nail hardener and bright sapphire blue metallic nailpolish as well.
Had a very fancy pants afternoon tea at the 5 star Langham hotel with a proper tiered cake stand and individual tea pots, the cucumber sandwiches were delicious!
The chairs were awesomely comfy and the upholstery had this amazing brocade pattern of big blooming crysanthemum type flowers so I asked where they got it from… Loius Vuitton. $1000 a chair. (gulp – closest I’ll ever get to LV!)
Then we came home and ate cheese for dinner and watched The Time Travellers Wife, which I thought looked soppy and romantic and not my thing at all. I bawled my eyes out and thought it was wonderful… I am such a sop!
How are the Jordana lipsticks? Do they feel cheap or are they decent?

Jordana lipsticks – well, they have heaps of colours (I’ve got about 12 or so at present) some of them are really pretty and some of them just look a bit scary (dark purple! eeek!). The swatches on-line are rubbish by the way…
They never seem to have testers in store, so it has been a bit hit and miss for me shade wise, but overall I think these are AWESOME. Especially for the price!
I wore Vin Rose (bright raspberry pink lustre) on Thursday (with a neutral eye, inpsired by your 5 minute look!) and I think I reapplied once after coffee at 10am and still had even (though faded) pigmentation at 6pm when I got home. I had put balm over but it still looked great.
One or two of them have a crayon-like waxy scent which I hate but most of the regular ones have a fruity raspberry-ish smell while the matte ones tend to smell like vanilla caramel.
The pigmentation is fabulous, they apply quite creamily and evenly and seemed to last pretty well. The matte ones aren’t too drying either, though they do have a noticeably different consistency.
My top Matte picks are Rafael (29) (gorgeous coral pink with gold shimmer), Passionate Pink (48) and Taupe (38) and for the standard lipsticks, All Spicy (179 – blaze orange in tube, applies sheer apricot toned coral), Buff (144 – creamy deep peach nude) and Grape (028).
I’ve found the paler pinks to be fairly blah, haven’t tried any reds yet but the corals and neutrals seriously rock!

Cool. You might want to check out the blushes too – Coral Sandy Beach, Tawny Beige, Rose Silk and Blushing Rose are all *super* gorgeous! I reach for these more often than Nars Orgasm, LOL!

I hauled MAC e/s in shroom, brule, shale, vex, copperplate, greensmoke and deep truth, lipglass in just add colour LOVE LOVE LOVE, studio finish concealer, face and body foundation, and mineralize blush in warm soul. Not sure how I feel about warm soul, its pretty, but I think I’d be better off spending the money on a matte bronzer, bronze blush doesn’t suit my very pale skin

today I went to Bath and Body Works to pick up a few things. I got 2 body washes, 1 lotion, 1 body spray and 1 cooling mist in the new Summer Vanilla collection in Berry. It smells soooooooo yummy. I also got the 3 lip glosses that are available in the Summer Vanilla line. Oh and some hand anti bacs 5 for 5!!! So it was a great haul and I saved tons of money!!!!

Wow, my haul is not nearly as impressive as others but I am pleased with my purchases. I bought LORAC’s Hollywood Hot List set, Benefit High Beam, and Harajuku Lovers perfume in G which is a nice scent for summer.
I have a lot to be excited for. I only have two more finals and then i’m done with college for good, I get to move when I finish school, I am getting closer to my Caribbean cruise in May, going to an amusement park tomorrow, and lastly..my BDAY!!! YAY!

Yesterday I took advantage of Ultas 40% off and picked up Revlon Photoready foundation (love it…I need a cheap foundation for work), makeup wipes, eye makeup remover. Today I stopped by my local CCO and scored Mac Angel l/s for $10 bucks (love it)

I know I almost fell to the floor but the girls there are really good to me they have this basket of single inventory behind the counter that not to many people know about so I go straight to the basket as soon as I walk in. During the holidays I found Blankety, Freckletone, Snob, Pretty Please on the same day. That was a nice find!

I ordered Laura Geller Shine & Shield Lip Gloss in Fresco and, earlier this week, I ordered a new supply of Philosophy Purity Made Simple for my mom and me.
As for cute dog stuff…my Yorkie is thrilled with my 6-week old niece. There are few things that make him super excited – the primary item being the roasted chicken breast that my mom makes for him and his ‘brother’ (my Lab). He whimpers and cries while waiting for his pieces to be cut small enough for him. When I ask him if he wants to see what grandma is doing, he leaps at me, his back feet on my feet, his front paws on my shins and then jumps into my arms when I bend down to pick him up.
Thunder storms make him freak – his Gene Simmons’ tongue hanging all the way out and he cries. This is relevant to the story because my niece illicits a cross-thunder/roasted chicken response in my dog.
This week, he vaulted into my arms to see her at eye level. He just sniffs her and nuzzles a bit. I put him down and then he ran and jumped from chair to chair, then to the couch with his paws dangling over the back – anything to get on eye level again with the baby. My sister-in-law was standing between a table and the back of the couch.
I was busy dealing with my other ‘niece’ (a satanic Shih Tzu) when, all of a sudden, I watched him jump from a chair, onto the table, and run over to my sister-in-law. When I called his name, he looked freaked out – like his wits came back and he realized he was on the table.
I picked him up, brought him back to the baby and his tail went insane. His tongue hung all the way out (in between whimpering) and he pushed off my chest to get himself closer to her.
My mom thinks maybe he can smell the milk but, (not to be gross), he’d probably react the same way to my sister-in-law – which he doesn’t. The baby is the first being in the house who’s the same size as the Yorkie. So, maybe he thinks they’re long-lost litter mates?
As I’m re-reading this post, I realize I sound crazy. Can you imagine how I’d talk about my children if/when I have any? Regardless, I do believe both my dogs are geniuses and super cute. ; )

So….i said i wouldnt shop anymore…but i couldnt help it. i went to MAC of course and i bought a few eyeshadows which i love like shimmermoss, seedy pearl, beauty marked and i also brought my back to mac stuff and got Angel lipstick and smolder eye liner. I went to Ulta and got an Essie value pack of 4 nail colors (resort Life)
and i aslo went to Sallys and got 4 Ardell falsies i <3 it!!
Looking forward to using my new stuff this weekend!!

i’m trying to be on a makeup ban, specifically lipgloss (i have 35!), but i was at target and they had 4 new colors of the Super Lusterous Lipgloss, and they had a lilac one! It’s called Lilac Pastelle, and it looks really good on me! I love it!

Well, I was on holiday Mon to Fri, so didn’t buy any make up (and yes, I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms, lol), but I did pick up a few things on eBay last weekend including some more Guerlain Kiss Kiss lipstick testers. Very small haul for me and no doubt I will catch up next week. 🙂

so I took advantage of the Sephora V.I.B and Urban Decay sale and i got from sephora: Fusion beauty the Lip Fusion XL, Make Up Forever flash palette ( which i noticed is out of stock now whew!) #92 shadow and the HD complexion kit, and from Urban Decay I got liquid liners and Acid Rain,and Revolver, the new de-slick spray and Burbon & Zero 24/7 liners. and them from mac i just got stuff i needed my studio concealer and oil control lotion. I’m looking foward to this weekend because it’s prom and i do all my sisters friends makeup!!

I really want to look into the MUFE HD microfinish blush even though I prefer powder blush. Can you recommend a pink and a peach shade for NW 25 (I believe I sway towards neutral) Skin?
I also wanted to get those urban decay eyeliner kits but they don’t have at my sephora. 🙁

I splurgd on one item for the Sephora VIB sale and bought a 100mL bottle of Viva La Juicy perfume. I really like it so far, it is the perfect spring fragrance. I sprayed some on my pulse points at 8 am this morning, it is 4 pm now and the scent is still very subtly on me.

I also picked up some Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. It was a good week =D

Gotta get the essentials! The l/s and blush are really pretty, soft colors, love em. I actually went into a MAC store, but left cause the MAs were really fake and snobby, so I went all the way back to the front of the mall on the first floor to buy from the counter and the lady there was super sweet and helped me pick out a blush. They loved the sunset eyes I did. And I mentioned temptalia to them and they knew, haha ;P

Well, the best thing that happened to me this week is being surrounded by beautiful friends and family, because in the past 7 days, I’ve had my wisdom teeth pulled, my 5 year relationship ended, and I was attacked by a student at the school where I teach. The fact that I am still standing is the best thing that has ever happened to me!
Today, with my cousin (retail therapy, you know!) I bought MAC’s Girl About Town lipstick and Funtabulous Dazzleglass. I bought several Sally Hansen nail polishes and CoverGirl Lashblast Fusion from Ulta; UD Eden PP, Sephora brand eyeliners, Dior Mascara and Guerlain lipgloss from Sephora. I also received my UD shipment with two lipsticks, El Dorado 24/7 liner, and Skyscraper Mascara.
After that, I almost feel better. 🙂

I purchased The Tarte Natural Lip Stain with LipSurgence Technology in the color Charmed(light pink), I love it & know I want the other 5 colors!!! = /
What do you love about it?
This lip stain is different from any i’ve tried, I had always stayed away from lip stains because they can be so drying but this one is very moisturizing it also has a light glossy shine to it which is very nice, & I love the peppermint in it its really cooling on your lips. The color is so pretty when you apply it, it’s a perfect summer shade!

After swatching Chanel’s Dragon and Coromandel Laques at Nordstrom, I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. But then after walking around some more and (inevitably) strolling into Sephora, I found the truest red lipstick I’ve ever seen: MUFE’s #206 Hollywood Red lipstick! It’s super pigmented and creamy with a slightly shiny finish. I’m in love!!

– Illamasqua lipsticks in Maneater (matte red) and Pristine (matte black)
– Illamasqua Illuminator in Halcyon (a really pretty pearly champagne color)
– Sephora lip liner in Real Red
I might have to go back for one of those Chanel Laques though (probably Coromandel for my skintone). The super subtle shimmer had me in love! I really wanted to spring for a MUFE HD blush too (Walk of Shame, the bubblegum pink-y color) because it blended SO nicely. But the pump dispensed way too much for my liking. I would end up wasting a lot of it. 🙁

If you have any smaller containers (like a clear 5 gram container) you could pump the MUFE HD blush in there (I know, lame!), but it’ll work.
Bought a few JK Jemma Kidd metallic liquid eyeliners at Target. Abstract is a smokey teal that’s almost exactly like an ooooold Urban Decay liquid liner I kept until it was all dried out and gross. Covert is an insanely bright iridescent peacock green. Drama is a bright metallic violet without iridescence. I’m glad to see this is a trend coming back – can’t wait to see the ones Mac comes up with in that Felines collection!
Why was I at Target? Getting storage tubs to give my office an overhaul. That’s gonna be a huge job 🙁

Whew, very nice haul! 😀
I picked up some stuff I’ve been needing/wanting for awhile. First off, I picked up a Burt’s Bees cleanser (the chamomille one) because I’ve been finding that cetaphil isn’t taking off all my foundation. In fact, it feels like it does nothing sometimes. It does help clean around my eyes though (I use mineral oil to remove my mascara), so I’ll keep it around for that :). I love this Burt’s bees cleanser though. My boyfriend has it, and I’ve used it when my face has been irritated from makeup. I have really sensitive skin, and it feels so nice on it.
Secondly, I picked up some blush! I’ve actually never owned blush even though I’ve been wearing makeup for what… 5-6 years now? LOL! So I got Physician’s Formula mineral wear pressed blush or something like that. It’s called “Rosy Glow” I think and it’s PERFECT for my skintone. So I’m happy about that.
Lastly I got me another Physicians Formula product. It’s from their mineral line and it’s a “correcting” powder. Looks like icecream colours, but I thought I’d try it since I have a lot of redness around my hair. Brush that comes with it is CRAP, but when I use my 187, it applies very nicely. I’ll have to see how it looks in the daylight tomorrow, but it’s promising so far.
Usually the brushes included in products suck 🙁 It’s such a waste of money!

I’m in happy land today (Friday). I received my MACCOSMETICS.COM SHIPMENT WHICH CONSISTED OF eye shadows in Hey, Prepped for Glamour and Sorcery. I also received the lip glass in Just Add Color. So I’m happy. My three year old also received a Children’s Place haul from my sister in Ohio so, we are both happy.
This weekend should be nice in the Bay Area. I’m working for 6 hours but after that, going to visit my brother and chill and that’s it. Church on Sunday and then more chilling.

Thought there must be a dupe out there…so will try milani black satin and milani holographic in gold, not quite chanel but the look will at least be similar and with coupons at CVS, cost me only 8.00!! BTW, milani holographics are beautiful, great application and so pretty.

i went to my local mac store and was soo excited to find that they still had girlfriendly paint pot. so i bought that , and then i bought designer purple, undercurrent pearlglide eyeliner and dirty and greengrease greasepaint stick , then when the mac prep for color came out i bought the 3 e/s and got a sample of the serum. i cant wait for next week for the pret a papier collection to come out and to snag that coral paint pot.
