The only thing that i used it Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Concentrate. It worked for me but I don’t think I need it that much because I’m only 22 years old.
What results have you seen from using it, Ashley? Since you’re young, did you even have anything for it to work on? ;P
My current skincare routine contains Lacsal-serum /aha/bha-combination), copper peptide serum and rich, natural carrier oils..my skin has definitely improved, my skintone is more even and looks healthier, I don´t feel the need to put on a lot of make up anymore. :o)
Wow, that sounds like a really fancy regimen! But if it works 😉
It sure does!
Copper Peptides have proven to be more gentle to the skin than retin-a while being gentler to the skin as well.. :o)

I dont use any of these products coz im stil 19 and a 1/2 and i dont need any of these products untill 26 or 27!! 🙂
Zzainy…
I am 29… so does that make me old?
Well, I don’t use any anti-aging stuff yet….
You’re only as old as you feel, Sophia 😀
You’re so lucky, Zainy 😉
lets be honest, im 21 and have put some real thought into anti-aging creams. i kinda think it might be better to tackle the job before its a problem. lol.
Hey Kayla!
Yes, prevention is easier than trying to turn back the clock 🙂
So I’m oldddd compared to most readers probably, I’m 31. But I’ve never had much sun on my face and never smoked, so I still get asked if I’m a student, lol…I use jojoba oil as a general moisturizer and Lancome Collaser-48 (I think it’s called, but they revised the formula and now sell it as Collaser-5x) on fine lines around my eyes. It kind of settles in them and makes them less noticeable. I have some fine brow lines, but that’s partly why I wear bangs! And on days when my lids are puffy and uneven, I use Kiss My Face Eyewitness eye creme, somehow it really seems to help de-puff my upper lids.
Areas where I still need help: darker areas under my eyes (I should try that Kanebo concealer) and (gasp) just starting to get those old-lady fine lines around my mouth that lipstick seeps into. I didn’t think that would start for another 20 years or so.
Morning, Carrie! 🙂
You are so lucky to have aged so well! It’s a gift 🙂
I received a product called Hylexin, which is supposed to help with SERIOUS DARK CIRCLES and chronic puffiness. I’m not going to bother to try it, since I don’t have serious dark circles, but I’m going to give it to my sister, and I’m going to force her to test it out.
I´m 33 now and have been using sunscreen religiously for the past 15 years, so I consider that my primary anti-aging strategy.
Other than that I recently started using a retinol night cream (Neutrogena Intensive anti-wrinkle moisturizing night treatment) and I have been using Anti-oxidant serums for a few years now (by Paula´s Choice).
Around my eyes I only use Cetaphil Moisturizer, it is the only thing I tolerate there, since my skin is so sensitive.
BTW Strobe cream actually is a very good moisturizer with lots of antioxidants, so it its not only good for the “lightshow” 😉
Sunscreen is definitely a good preventative strategy to use!
Anyone seen results with an undereye wrinkle cream?? Guys I really need your help with this one. I don’t get bags. I get dark circles if i don’t sleep- but that i can fix with the wonders of makeup. the thing that is bothering me is that i have a few, but definite wrinkles along my lower lash line from pulling and tugging to wear contact lenses and put on eyemakeup. SOMEONE OUT THERE- please tell me of a miracle cream! I’ve tried neutrogena copper something. lancome eye-collaser 5x or something. even cellcosmet i shelled out 200 BUCKS for!! nothing. nothing. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!
me too ! i would love to know, I didn’t wear much makeup when I was younger but putting on contacts everyday has done horrible for my under eye area.
I don’t know of a cream to make it better, but i have a suggestion that might help the root of the problem. After I got used to wearing contacts I never needed to pull and tug at my eyes. just open them wide and put the contact lens in without tugging the eye open further. it should fit in between your eyelids just fine. and as for taking it out, some people get freaked out when i do this but i just put my hand over it and pinch it off gently, not the official, pull your eye open push the contact lens to the side and pop it off. i never have to open my eyes much wider than I would throughout the course of a normal day. With some practice I think that you guys could at least avoid some additional wrinkling from the contact lens issue.
I consider my sunscreen my anti-aging strategy too. Annie: As for eye cream, I don’t know if there is any miracle worker, but I hear La Mer’s eye cream is pretty good (though pricey!). I’ve also heard good things about Jurlique’s eye cream. Otherwise…the skin around your eyes is really delicate, so maybe try wearing glasses a bit more to reduce the number of times you pull on your skin? Hopefully someone out there knows of a good cream. Good luck!!
I’ve been using sunscreen for years, I burn easy and like my pale skin, so I never leave the house without it.
I started using RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum on my face after seeing it work on my mother- it has really made a difference on creases between her eyebrows and on her forehead. So I figured I’d start using it as a preventative measure.
I also use their Retinol Correxion Eye Cream at night.
During the day, I’ve been using Weleda Wild Rose Intensive Eye Cream.
My mother always said to avoid the sun, stress, drinking, and smoking. Avoiding those things helps so much!
It’s good to see so many sunscreen advocates 😀
i just use a serum from dior (called xp something) but just at night
i get botox injections once or twice a year though 🙂
How do you like the botox, Claudine?
I use sunscreen!!! that is my no.1 anti ager. I don’t tend to use night cream often at all.
So good to do, Tricho!
After reading this review, I made an order with Estee Lauder last week, and had the Perfectionist as part of the 3 free samples. I used it last night, and I really am amazed how well it worked. I have slight wrinkles on my forehead, and this really minimized them. I didn’t notice a huge difference in smaller pores, but I don’t think they are big to begin with. Also, as part of the free samples, there was their eye treatment Advanced Night Repair. It seems to have made the skin under the eye really supple.
I also use Principal Secret facewash, nightcream, etc. It worked pretty well during the winter, but it’s too greasy for summer. I don’t like it enough to continue buying it, but I’ll use it up first. I think I might look into the Estee Lauder line a little more.
Oh, wow! I will have to look into EL’s Perfectionist!
At night, I use Prevage – face (MD strength) and eyes – and it made a wonderful difference in my skin. Daytime I use La Mer concentrate, eye cream, and face cream (face and neck for concentrate and cream). Wonderful hydration. Daytime eye cream is Kinerase Under Eye Rescue. Weekends, I switch off to coffee berry creams. This routine makes me look 10 years younger than I am, according to people who are asked to guess my age, and 10 years younger than I thought I had started to look before the Prevage MD. Ladies, if you are over 40, don’t waste time and money on the fad of the month. These products work!
Good to hear! I think I have Prevage lying around, but I never got around to using it… maybe I will now!
