Ladies, not sure but generally, there’s not that big a price markup on brands like Chanel, Dior, Clarins, especially when compared with Stila, Benefit, MAC (they have a bloody nerve forgetting their Canadian roots – they should give us a price BREAK!!!). So this might not be too dreadfully much more here (unless our dollar continues its swan-dive!)

That blue nail polish… <3 I love that, but I can't get excited at any of the actual makeup on here. The packaging is beautiful, the embossing on those powders is beautiful… but it just looks very basic, no "must haves"

I don't get those eyeshadows, though. Those colors don't look very coordinated to me?

Yes, yes, yes! Love the Glowing Pink, Blue Garden shadows, Floral Pink blush, and both polishes I’ve had good luck with all of the Dior polishes I’ve bought). I am really hoping this gets a good review from you. Worried about the shadows as the quality has been a miss for a while. Hopefully, they’ve upped their game and formulation.

OMG, I love the flower embossing on those shadow kits!! And the color combos look so unique and spring-like. Both of them are seriously tempting me. I’m going to have to look into these, hoping the formula is good

Christine,

Will you be reviewing this collection? I am anxious to hear your thoughts on the illuminating powder and the floral blush. Thank you for all that you do, you are so awesome and Merry Christmas!

Easy to see that Dior is all over the Pantone colours of the year! The only things that interest me are the 2 illuminating powders. Diors eyeshadow 5 pans are always so iffy so even if I were wowed by these, I’d still await Christine’s reviews.

I only bought the gold one in Glowing Nude 002 (for now). I’m still debating over the pink illuminator. I have a feeling I still might get it.. I had seen a swatch on Instagram of both highlighters. Although I had already made up my mind months ago to buy this product (without seeing swatches), the IG picture confirmed it even more that I needed to have it. LOL

Here’s the link: https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xtp1/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/12331863_1501452243490061_1088286195_n.jpg

Technically my b’day is on Saturday, so it was an early gift, but thank you!! 🙂

Thank you for the link, both are beautiful. I am looking forward to see the swatch of the blush too. I have the pink illuminator and the blush on my list. I am so pale with pink undertones, I am afraid the gold would not look good my NW15 skin/for reference.

I usually celebrate the entire month of my birthday. Life is short..have fun.

Momo Avatar

You’re welcome. ?

I hesitated to purchase the pink illuminator because I thought it would have been too pale for my dark skin. I’m waiting to see better swatches of that shade on darker skin before committing. But it sounds as though Glowing Pink would compliment your skin tone very well. I was on the way out the door when my illuminator arrived today. I only had a chance to open the box and compact. So pretty! ? I’m on my way home now. I can’t wait to swatch it. I’ll let you know if it would be too dark for your skin.

I usually celebrate my b’day from December 24 – 26. That’s the time all my friends and fam start celebrating for the holiday, so I threw myself into the mix so that no one skips a beat. Lol

Update: Glowing Nude is gorgeous! We both knew that already. Lol.

It isn’t as opaque as I thought it would be. The swatch in the Instagram pic must have been applied heavily. I think it would still be perfectly fine for pale skin; just use a fluffy brush and not the kabuki that comes with the powder. It applies lightly, and it’s not an over-the-top illuminator/highlighter (thank goodness). Picture the lightness of the Hourglass powders, but much finer…if that makes sense. It also reminds me a lot of the Chanel Camelia de Plumes highlighter or the Fashion Fair Perfect Finish Illuminators’ consistency.

I don’t like the colour combo of the eyeshadow palettes. I can’t imagine how they can be flattering on the eyes.
The colour of the other stuffs look (boring) classic, just with a pretty pattern. Not sold at all on this collection.
I’ll try the nail polishes. Hope the reflections would be interesting, otherwise I already have this kind of pastel pink and green.

Every year, I fall in love with their spring collections. And every year, I’m disappointed by the formula/performance. *sigh* I’ll be waiting for reviews with my fingers crossed. Again.

Helene Avatar

The illuminating powders might be interesting.
While I like to look at the eyeshadows, I don’t think it’s any idea to get the hope up. I can imaginge that they will look really good on the eye if they are anything like the quads have been, sheer, very sheer, not much pigment, asn, well you know. But maybe we’re in for a big surprise 😀
The blush looks very dupeable, I think.
This time I hope they send you the collection, Christine, so you don’t have to pay for everything.

Bonnie Avatar

I’ve been disappointed by Dior shadows so many times, these shouldn’t even be a consideration. But, I still find myself tempted. Will probably pick up the polishes. Wondering what lip products will be in the collection. 🙂

Claire L Avatar

I think it’s a lovely looking spring collection. If it weren’t for the fact that Dior eye palettes have been so bad lately, I’d be considering buying one. The illuminating powders look very pretty, might be worth picking at least one up, haha!

Bonnie Avatar

Those illuminating powders will be mine! 😀
I love all Dior’s silver cased “nude” products. The “Rose garden” eye quint looks exactly like one they released for spring several years ago. But the Blue garden one is lovely looking. Here’s *always* hoping it will be good, (but since it has blue in it especially), there’s not much hope to be had there! They did such a great job with the Pantone colors. It’s really a beautiful looking spring collection.
