Looks - Pop of Bright Green with Olive Greens
So, yesterday, I thought my shirt was green (apparently, it was brown, but it kept flickering between brown/dark green depending on the light), so I went with green. At least brown goes with most colors, though 🙂 I didn’t notice the mascara smudges on the lower lash line until after photos, but I *did* clean it up before I went out, LOL.
Hope your Monday is off to a good start!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Vintage Gold pigment (antique gold), Lucky Green eyeshadow (shimmery medium green), Scarab eyeshadow (dark olive green), Fiction eyeshadow (gray-olive), Femme Noir eyeshadow (matte dark green), Nylon eyeshadow (white-gold highlighter), Feline kohl power (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
- Cheeks: Suncentered Colour Forms Powder (peachy-orange)
- Lips: By Degrees slimshine (pink with a bit of mauve), She-Gold lipglass (sheer gold shimmer)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 272 (fluffy angled crease brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Vintage Gold = Gold Metal; Lucky Green = Bio Green; Scarab = Sumptuous Olive; Fiction = Greensmoke; Femme Noir = Flourishing; Feline = Graphblack; Suncentered = Peachykeen, By Degrees = Long Stem Rose; She-Gold = Instant Gold
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Vintage Gold pigment all over the lid as the base with the 239. On the inner lid, apply Lucky Green eyeshadow using the 239. Apply Scarab eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken the outer lid using Fiction and drag into crease using the 239. Define crease with Femme Noir eyeshadow using the 272 to lightly blend it in. Sweep Nylon underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Feline kohl power on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Suncentered using the 129. Apply By Degrees slimshine to lips, and then top with She-Gold lipglass for shimmer and shine.
When you line your waterline, does it stay the whole day without smearing? There must be something wrong with my eyes b/c no matter how wonderful the eyeliner is – it always disappears on me!
I think it depends on how much you’re putting on the waterline, as well as how much your eyes water in general. Try going over the waterline quite a few times to create a solid colour. Perhaps you just need to top it up now and then during the day when you’re out and about. Hope any of this helps!
I´ve had the same problem. Now I dip my eye-kohl into a creamliner and then line my waterline (Thanks you Christine for this great and simple trick!!) This combo stays the whole day without smudging or fading!
Hi Jeannie,
No, not the whole day. Fluidilne lasts many hours on me, but the waterline is just not designed to have lienr all day. I don’t have smearing problems, for the most part, though.
so u just used green and gold eye shadows?it seems to have a trace of black in there?nice one anyways..pls what glue is best for eyelashes?i have some DEBU glue and i have tried to wear my eyelash but no luck…it never sticks….HELP PLS..recommendations for eyelash glue…..

Hi Ashi,
Fiction is a very dark green with some gray in it! I use DUO glue for lashes.
Wow, Lucky Green is perfect on you!
I LOVE it! I wish I had a backup!
Too Faced makes an awesome green duo called Lucky Charms. It isn’t an exact match but I think you would like it!
Hi Stephanie D,
Thanks! NYX has a green that’s VERY similar, actually 😀
Gosh Effect Powder in Kiwi, look like a dupe to that one too.
If only Gosh was available near me!
Sumptuous Olive is my favorite color EVER, and these colors you used look even better! I love it when you where greens, amazing!
=)
It is an amazing green 🙂
Thanks!
Hi!
I LOVE you in greens (and me too, LOL). I think makeup colors that are complimentary, rather than matchy-matchy, with clothes, look really good!!! I don’t usuually do a total all-out match but isntead use maybe a just a matching liner/shade or complimentary tone instead of using the exact same colors.
Thanks, AmyLou 😀
Totally love this look, so pretty. I absolutely love you in greens too, and you have inspired me to be brave and use them too 🙂
Aw, thanks so much, Elaine! You’ll love wearing greens!
That looks so pretty Christine… awesome job! I do think that the eyebrows are a bit too thick for your face, but then thats just my opinion 🙂
Hi Sana,
Really, too thick? Hm, everybody said they are too thin. Argh!
They don’t make Fiction anymore 🙁 They discontinued it right about the time I tried to get my hands on it.
Yeah 🙁 I don’t know why it got discontinued!
I love this look! The eyes and lips match beautifully.
You always look amazing in greens, I wish I could pull it off as well as you do!
Thanks, Bec!
Thanks, Briodmun & Maren for the tips! I’ll try them. =)
As always, you look great!
What powder shadow did you use for the eyebrows Christine?
Thanks, Theresa! 🙂 I used Espresso!
How come my She-Gold never looks that gorgeous on me? =X
