We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Has anyone with sensitive eyes used their glitter eye products before? I have a hard time with glitter, but if this stays in place, then I might go for it. These colors are right up my alley. TIA.

I don’t know if I’d say I have really sensitive eyes (at least not to glitter), but I think the only time I’ve had issues is with the really, really glittery shades that don’t really go on that well when used on the inner third of the lid (I can only recall one time where I can remember getting some glitter in my eye). Otherwise, I’m never reminded that I’m wearing a ton of glitter because it’s not falling into my eye!

If you are just tapping it onto the lid with your finger, it should be okay, little to no fall out. If you are trying to use a precise brush to apply to the lower lash or inner corner, the glittery ones tend to flake apart when you stick a small brush in them. You will likely get glitter on your eyeball.

Thanks for your reply. I have a bout a half dozen CP shadows and have used a flat synthetic brush for them, but they aren’t very glittery. I appreciate the tip.

I have pretty sensitive eyes — I break out in mini-hives on my lids from some shadows, even not-drugstore ones ones like Bare Escentuals :(. But I have 25 CP shadows and have never had allergy problems with them. Tbh, one of the reasons I love them is I can avoid primers (primers cause me a lot of eye irritation).

That said, I do think the heavily glittery ones are the worst formulas. There are some with light but very large/obvious glitter like Tea Party that I get no fallout with, even with no primer, but the few that are loaded with a LOT of large glitter — like “I <3 This" — have lots of fallout, like it's even crusty/chunky in the pan, so I kinda stopped buying those. They are pretty and they aren't irritating, just expect fallout.

From this specific collection, I bought and have worn Moonshine, Famous, DGAF, and Leopard — no problems with any of them, even Leopard, which was my first pigment from CP.

Boogie is gorgeous btw and *much* darker on me than the swatch above appears! Dat teal glitter. Perfect holiday lip.

I’ve had zero fall out with their glittery shadows from CP and I own quite a few. I’ve been recommending CP to people for the glitter shadows. Its still the creamy formula with glitter. Where as UD shadows, about half the glitter is on your face so you have to rig it up by wetting the brush and whatnot, or powder your face to brush off the access. You should definitely give it a try.

I’m liking the looks of it all! Good thing because I could not hold myself back and ordered it all of it last week. The beauty of CP is you can get the entire collection for typically around $100 and it is literally HE quality. I love that! I hope the reviews prove that statement true!

DGAF is so pretty!
One question:
Do these colourpop shadows dry out in a year even if you keep the lid closed tightly? I do worry they’ll dry out eventually and if it’s limited edition that would be pretty sad.

Kayle Avatar

Not too impressed with these colors. Easy pass, thank goodness! My cart is already loaded up with a bunch of things from their permanent line and I really didn’t want to spend more money on the holiday stuff.

I was interested in DGAF and Ho Ho specifically, but DGAF is just a really weird color that I don’t think I’d be able to use and Ho Ho isn’t the matte dark purple I thought it was in pictures. Moonshine is pretty but I have several browns like it already.

Rhinestone and Ho Ho are currently in my cart on ColourPop and I’m DYING for each of them! And DGAF is amazing too. I would be clicking the Purchase button right this minute if I hadn’t already spent a mint at the Sephora VIB Insider sale this weekend! :/
