Tutorial - Vintage Golds and Browns for Vegas
I used Museum Bronze pigment (LE) on lid, Ricepaper eyeshadow on inner lid, Goldmine eyeshadow on middle of lid, Carbon (LIGHTLY!) on outer lid, Espresso eyeshadow on outer crease, Copperbeam pigment (LE) on outer crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow to highlight, Graphblack technakohl on upper lash line (then smudged), UD Stash 24/7 liner on lower lash line, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Margin blush with Other Worldly blush (LE) on cheeks. I wore Tiger Tiger lipstick (LE) and Rosy Coral (PRO) pro gloss on my lips.** These are recommendations for dupes based on permanent colors available – may not necessarily be identical; they are the closest I can think of!Museum Bronze = Bronze; Copperbeam = Antiqued + Cranberry; Other Worldly = Raizin; Tiger Tiger = CherishNow, get step-by-step directions on how to get this look for yourself!1. Start with a bare eye.
2. Using water-based mixing medium, dampen your brush and then apply Museum Bronze pigment all over lid.
3. With the 239, apply Ricepaper eyeshadow to the inner third of the lid.
4. This is what you should have.
5. Using your 239 brush, apply Goldmine eyeshadow to the middle of the lid.
6. This is what you should have.
7. Apply Espresso eyeshadow on outer third of lid.
8. Pull the brush outwards.
9. This is what you should have.
10. Apply Copperbeam pigment in outer crease.
11. Pull outwards to blend the crease out.
12. This is what you should have.
13. Apply Ricepaper eyeshadow using the 239 brush to highlight the brow bone.
14. This is what you should have.
15. Apply a tap of Carbon eyeshadow into the outer crease.
16. This is what you should have.
17. Apply a tap of Carbon eyeshadow to the outer lid to darken.
18. This is what you should have.
19. You can darken the outer lid as much as you want by slowly adding Carbon – I went back and added a bit more for my personal preference. Add black mascara and liner to complete look.

This is an awesome bronzey look that can be worn in day and jazzed up for night by just adding a little Carbon. Beautiful! I’ll have to try it. Btw, I like the way the liner looks on your upper lashline.
Hi Chloe,
Oh, definitely! Carbon is the perfect way to add drama to any look.
Thanks!

No problem, Lala!
where can you get the water-base mixing medium from?
gorgeous by the way. as always gorgeous!
Hi Danielle,
MAC PRO sells it, or else you can make your own:
1 part glycerin (liquid, found in the first aid aisle)
3 parts water
thanks christine!
how come you look so beautiful every time you wear makeup?
you look pretty without it but with it you look extraordinarily pretty.
Well, thank you, Danielle! I appreciate you saying that! 🙂 I feel like I look so young without makeup.
Christine, you are the best. You make everything seems so simple.
That’s because it is 🙂 Thanks!

Hi! I am new to your website!
Gosh I love this gorgeous eye make up.
Thx for the step by step tutorial!
Sure thing, Julia! 🙂
pls how do i wear the eyeshadow on the lower part of my eyes without it smudging and dropping? Also,do i wear my eye pencil first?
Hi Ashi,
Try using a smudgeproof or waterproof liner, or else use a base underneath the shadow.
This look is gorgeous and I love the title “Vintage Golds & Browns for Vegas” considering that I live there lol I’m definitely going to try it soon my birthday is coming in a week and I plan on taking all the birthday money and finally hitting up the pro store at the forum yay I’m so excited!!! I might even use this look on my birthday or any other look on this site their all so beautiful Thank You!!! 🙂
Hi Diana,
Do you live IN Vegas, or just outside of it? I swear, if I wasn’t tied down here by grad school, I’d move to somewhere outside of Vegas since housing is less!
Yeah I live in vegas about maybe 10 minutes away from the strip
How do you like it? Sometimes I think about moving there when I’m done with school because houses are so much cheaper there then California!
Hey Christine!
I was wondering if you could possibly put color descriptions next to the names like you used to. Its hard to recreate the look when you don’t have all the colors, and they’re limited edition, so they don’t have a description on the site.
Thanks!
I’ll try!
Vegas is nice if you like the night life especially me myself I am nocturnal I like to be around people who are having fun I enjoy that kind of enviornment and just because you live out here in sin city doesn’t mean your required to live on the wild side lol vegas can be ordinary but I’ve heard of people out here who had gambling addictions and gamble their lives away house, car, etc. but not everyone is like that. Yes housing is cheaper especially now because of how bad the economy is today The only thing I don’t like is the extreme heat in the summer and no beaches I use to live in California I prefer the weather over there.
I’m definitely not a night owl, LOL. Is it good for non-night owls, too?
lol well for non-night owls it’s like any other city out there in California but with maybe less to do in the day which includes no beaches and cheaper housing which is conviniant, except other things like clothes and shoes are more expensive here. Vegas is ordinary if you take away the night life you also definitely do not want to live in North las vegas it’s obvious when you drive through lol places like henderson and Green valley are nice the east side of vegas is good too that’s where me and most of my friends live. I like it hear when it isn’t those hot six months
ahhh, got it. Thanks for the help, Diana 😀
amazing….are u a professional makeup artist?? m new on site..so i dunno….
I freelance on occasion, but I’m not professionally trained or anything!
I just stummbled onto your website yetsterday, looking for looks for a huge event I have to attend in SD. I don’t have enough to run out and buy new Mac colors right now, so I am going to substitute what I don’t have. Can you tell me what color would represent Ricepaper well?
Really any highlighter color – something similar to your skin tone with some shimmer.
wow, you look so beautiful in the pics! i have most of the eye shadows so i gotta try this look!
Thanks, Natasha!
Oops. This looks worked again for me.
BTW you looks gorgeous.
