WOW….I need this!!! This looks so much better than their other holiday palette thing. It’s also cute as can be! I feel like I would get a ton of use out of this!
Well the first mini palette looked great! Then the second looked decent….but that last one…oh dear :/. I had been eyeing this one, to keep 1 for myself, and gift 2, but I wouldn’t want palette 3 b/c that orange blush (which seems an odd choice of color for that set of eyeshadow shades) is a definite no go for me, and I would be embarrassed to gift it, unless the shadows miraculously transform when applied to the eyes (doubtful!).
Every Tarte shadow set I’ve seen in the last 3 years seems to have the same old shadows, just new names. I think we should just skip reviewing any more Tarte palettes and look at products from other brands (Sugarpill, Asian brands, Fyrinnae, Suquu cosmetics, etc)
They really are so predictable! Like…. You could show me five swatches from the above, without naming them, and I’d be like “ah, yes, another Tarte palette.”
Formulaic. 🙁
That said, this mostly looks okay in quality? If you didn’t already have dupes…
Palette does look amazing. Great colors.
In the UK the only places we can get Tarte are QVC UK or Ebay UK. Pity really love the look of this.
Sephora ships to the uk. Also Google Roses Beauty Store. They sell imported brands.
This reminds me of that big Too faced house thing form last year with all the separate cards things. It’s a lot. But, honestly, I don’t personally think I need this. Most of the swatches need “help” . I could see where this would be nice for someone wanting to start a collection. But, still lots of neutrals. Interested in your review- if you finish before Christmas! lol!
This really looks very nice and the price is excellent. Going on my list. I’ve bought 2 orher palettes from Tarte recently (Energy Noir and the Ulta Platinum special priced Rainforest After Dark) and been really pleased with them.
Just CRAZY how this Ulta exclusive looks like it has much better quality than the other Tarte holiday palette! Excited to see how well it actually performs and subsequently reviews!
Doesn’t look good for the home team…
Repeats, weak pigmentation…
Will pass.
That’s how I feel.
This definitely looks like Tarte’s best holiday palette! Every color is stunning + wearable. If the pigmentation is solid, this is a must-have.
I’m not impressed with the pigmentation of most of these shadows. This is the very reason that I haven’t been into buying palettes lately. There’s always a ton of shadows that I’ll never use or they aren’t pigmented at all. It’s hard for me to find a palette that I will use every single shade. I tend to stick with individual shadows to create my own palette as opposed to pre-made palettes.
**steps down off the soap box**
Right there with you. That’s why I’ve been less and less excited about palettes all the time, especially the “higher end” ones.
Just have to say, I have been using the Urban Decay Spectrum palette for two solid weeks now and there isn’t a bad shadow in the set. I am blown away by this palette: I have never had one where ALL the colors are great.
The quality looks a bit better than the other holiday sets, but so many repeats… I think Tarte should launch a palette with just 20 variations of matte brown and shimmery brown/copper. Oh wait, they already have…
I like this better than the sephora one. Tarte and macys also have a 3rd set. I just ordered that one. the setup is the same as last year’s holiday set from ulta away oui go. Too many choices!
I got last year’s Away Oui Go travel palettes set, so I’ll be skipping these. Going by the swatches, these shadows are not as good as Away Oui Go.
Right off the bat, I like this packaging so much better than the tacky design on the Home For the Holiday set and the brush set. I wish they would have used metallic chevron design on the individual palettes for the main design on everything, though.
Wow, this looks BEAUTIFUL, but 2 of the blushes just wouldn’t work for me, and the warmest of the shadows – well, I’ve so many like those. BUT – the first palette and blush and the shadows in the third one are so lovely. I hardly need this but I still want it! Can’t wait to see how it rates in your review, Christine (poor you – you must be up day and night testing out holiday palettes and sets).
A few of those shadows look rough. I like that you can travel with them easily or throw one if your bag to do your makeup on the go.
At first glance it looks lovely – but then the swatches came and I have the funny feeling that I have seen all of these colours before from Tarte – just different names. Lots of very similar colours and I also think the matte shades are a tad dry.
I have this sitting on my desk in my “to be depotted” pile. I’ve been putting it off though because I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it or not. I like that once I take the stuff out I can reuse the box. And I like how the pans are small so I can fit more shades into my Unii pallete when I travel. I’m also a long time tarte fan. But this one just doesn’t wow me like some of their past sets. :'(
Tarte is one of those brands where you have a couple of palettes and your basically covered.. This looks like a mix of two of such palette I have in my stash: Tartlette and Bon Voyage.
The colors are so gorgeous and so is the packaging! I love the concept of having a set with 3 separate palettes instead of a giant clunky palette that’s impractical to take anywhere. The colors aren’t the most unique but they’re still soooo pretty. If this gets a good review I might add my first holiday set to my wishlist!
Is it just me, or do the first two palettes look VERY similar?
Every year I hope for something better from tarte since their regular stuff is usually bang on for me & every year I’m disappointed with their holiday offerings.
Pass for me.
I guess the first or second set take my preference.
I don’t need this and won’t be getting it (partially because I have a lot of dupes, partially because the pigmentation looks weak), but I really like what they did with the 3 different palettes — very convenient for travel! I like some of the color choices too, especially the grey/taupe colors with the orange blush, which is unique and interesting to me. Unfortunately, the first and second palettes seem way too similar; I think they lost an opportunity to create the perfect warm/cool/grey palette trio when they skipped the pinks, mauves, etc.
When will this be out?
When will this be released in Canada? I just checked Sephora and it isn’t out on the Canadian Website
