Top 5: True Yellow Gold Eyeshadows
On the hunt for a true, yellow gold? Here are the five highest-rated, permanent options that I’ve reviewed:
- Makeup Geek Liquid Gold (A+)
- Kat Von D Thrasher (A+)
- OCC Triptych (A)
- ColourPop Get Lucky (A)
- Makeup Geek Fortune Teller (A)
Kat von D’s Thrasher is coming home with me the next time I stop in at Sephora. 😀
YAYYY! 😀
Oh my gosh, Thrasher is incredible! I haven’t been able to take my hands off of it since I got it last week. Enjoy 🙂
Thrasher is stunning! It’s on my perpetual wish list. I just ordered Raw Power. Those two would be a pretty couple. 🙂
They would be 😀
Fortune Teller and Thrasher both look sooo rich and just amazing! Triptych also has me going gaga, too!
My favorite true golds that I myself own has to be UD Blitz and L’Oreal Infallible Gold Imperial (light, but still true gold).
Both are good golds 😀
These are beauts. I adore Get Lucky.
I knew you’d say that ;D
Ha, ha! I bet you did. 😀
Oh how lovely they look. I begin to doubt myself as I don’t have any of these, and I didn’t have any of the light golds either. What kind of makeup lover am I?
Quest for self, find all my golds and see what I need to get to complete a little gold stash.
I have quite a few gold nailpolishes though 🙂
At least you’ve got gold nails covered 😉
Love the Kat Von D’s Thrasher gold. It is divine. In fact all of these golds are beautiful. Thank you Christine.
My pleasure, Genevieve!
I’m surprised Sugarpill Goldilux is not on this list!
It is always tough to narrow it down to five!
My skin tone can’t really handle super yellowy or orangey golds but I love Get Lucky. I can pop it in the center of the lid on lots of looks and I’ve blended matte shadows over it for a satiny look. One I would definitely repurchase.
Glad you’ve found one that will work for you 🙂
Love the gold for dinner eye corners when using copper and bronze. So good with blue grey eyes
That is a gorgeous idea!
You know how a lot of people say red/pink/purple eyeshadow makes them look sick and/or tired? Well, that’s pretty much what happens when I wear shades like these… I can do pale, beige/white golds, but anything too ” yellow”, and I look jaundiced. I end up having several in palettes, and they seem to all be pretty good; I guess it’s one of the easier shades to do, which could also explain why they’re so ubiquitous!
Interesting! Yellow is hard for me to wear, but when it is more gold than yellow, it’s no problem, or if the yellow is bright enough (and usually has some shimmer to it) or else it goes awry on me as well!
I love them all but unfortunately,I can’t used OCC one without irritate my eyes tho!
Oh no!
Get Lucky is nice. The only true gold I have is from Guerlain and I really like it in small doses even though it’s not a shade that usually looks good on me.
Do you have any other golds you like to wear, maybe a lighter gold?
Oooooh, I totally forgot how much I love triptych but it’s been reignited through this post. Thanks for bringing it out to play again, lol
Yayyyyy! 😀
