5 Faves: Emerald Eyeshadows

Long-time readers will know that emerald-hued eyeshadow is a favorite of mine, but it is hard to find high-performing ones, and the last couple of years have brought us some really great shades, like:

  1. BUXOM Pre-nup — a brightened, medium emerald green
  2. Kat Von D Iggy — a bright, true emerald green
  3. Make Up For Ever ME304 — a medium-dark emerald green
  4. Sugarpill Midori — a warmer emerald green
  5. Giorgio Armani Emeraude — a blackened emerald green

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

MUFE ME304 looks so nicely pigmented and just has a beautiful fresh and lush look to it! I also am digging the Buxom one, too! Thus far, my favorite emerald shade that I actually own in UD Dragon from Vice 3, I especially love it with Ulta Glamazon (as a smokey base) and UD Freeze, plus Mac Savant to blend out my smoked peacock eye that I do with that combo!

I love deep green’s as well. So nice in fall and around the Holidays. I absolutely adore the looks you make with green! I have the Armani one. But, I think I want to add either the MUFE or KVD powder to my collection before fall comes into action. I’m leaning on KVD. Do you happen to know if those can go into a Z palette?

Ok Thanks! I don’t like that risk factor. I’ll look at the two in store. I’m going to the mall this weekend before I decide. MUFE is a little better value and got right in a Z palette. We shall see! 😀

The only deep green shade I have is the Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow in Balsam, but I think it’s a little warmer and earthier than a true emerald shade. The MUFE ME304 looks stunning though! I’m planning to go hog-wild this year during the Sephora VIB sale (that’s usually around Novemberish, right?) so maybe I’ll add that to my cart!

I’m not at home to give you names unfortunately but I love the Ben Nye greens, was obsessed with Medusa’s make up greens for a long time though they need primer, mac amutty green if you’re into glittery stuff, looks amaze with a black base, the greens from the sleek ultra matte palettes are divine and so affordable (I have issues with buying palettes for just one shade of green haha). I have a bunch of great indies at home I’ll post here if I remember when I’m back home.
