What’s your least favorite step during your beauty routine/getting ready? Is it moisturizer? Eyeliner? Blush?

.

I think I’m just always impatient about the hair…

skincare– cleansing and moisturizing. i know it’s important but i hate it and it’s annoying. maybe if i had one of those clarisonic things it would be fun.

My least fav thing is doing my eyebrows ! I decided to shave them when I was younger an they don’t grow back very good, so drawing them on can be a big pain in the butt espically when your inna hurry or they don’t come out even ! I do love the look but, it can be a hassel :/

Caitlin Avatar

I think for me it is mascara. It has so much potential to ruin everything because it is one of the last steps for me and can get really messy. I just don’t like battling with my mascara in the morning! 😀

Rosie Avatar

Messy how, are you getting it on your lids or clumping up the lashes? I’m bad with mascara too but love that you can let it dry and just take it off with a q-tip w/o ruining any of your makeup.

Casey Avatar

I absolutely hate drawing my eyebrows on. It drives me insane trying to get them even..lol. After years of plucking I am stuck with drawing them back on =(

Liliana Avatar

that’s why I ended up having mine tattooed! i got tired of drawing them in all the time and if i was having a bad eyebrow day it would take me forever to draw them in right!

Catherine Avatar

Ooh, same as you. I’m really impatient with my hair. I usually let it air dry, but my new cut requires a lot of coaxing to get into the right position for drying well, otherwise both sides aren’t even and I get this cowlick in back, which is super frustrating. T_T;

Carrie Avatar

Probably foundation & concealer because they take up the most time. My skin is dry and sensitive w/ red areas, and I don’t spend a lot of time on my hair because I have absolutely no patience for that. I just comb it and put one hair product in it, or I put it in a ponytail.

Denise Avatar

It’s a love hate relationship with putting on concealer. I actually do enjoy perfecting it, but sometimes I just want to give up especially on bad days.

What I really hate though is taking off waterproof mascara. Got to get me some cleansing oil!

Kaylynrenee Avatar

Yup, hair. Specifically blow drying. Mainly because it’s loud and I really hate loud continuous noises (vacuuming is my least favorite house cleaning step for the same reason) but also because it’s hot and because I need a couple of more hands. And another step that I don’t look forward to is lotioning after a bath/shower. Don’t really know why, I’m just impatient with it. Maybe because there’s really no immediate visual transformation? Who knows…

Great question!

kim Avatar

Least favorite is doing the eyebrows because I always feel they aren’t perfect enough being I change their shape every other mth. I spend uber time doing my eyebrows than anything else…lol!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PART IS TAKING OFF YOUR MAKEUP! I am so tired sometimes I admit that I don’t do it or do a thourgh job. Or if I really like the look and I don’t want to take it off just yet.

AlyxVeee Avatar

Eyeliner gets me every time. I seriously suck at trying to make a smooth even line, plus my eyelid space is different for each eye so it just never looks right. I usually end up not putting it on.

ModeCrazyMakeUpOn Avatar

Putting on concealer and foundation. That’s products I am really not excited about. Blush, lips products and of course makeup eyes hell yes, but foundation? No thanks (I put it all the same, it’s just like some chore haha)

Sherry Avatar

Putting on false eyelashes. Because I don’t do it everyday it still takes me a little longer. So I will usually just skip it altogether. Then I get mad at myself because I should have started earlier and could have had enough time to put them on. I really like the extra umph it gives to the finished look.

Rosanna Avatar

Mascara….

Because one mistake and you’ll have it all over your eyeshadow! (Fixing it is the unpleasant part for me although it’s not too difficult but it take up time).

Also trying to get every last coated and not clumping plus keeping the curl! (damn asian eyelashes!)

Ceriene Avatar

Curling my lashes and putting on mascara. Because 99% of the time, I’ll pinch my eyelid with my lash curler or end up accidentally tugging on a lash (and it’s painful.) or I’ll ruin my make up with black splotches of mascara when I blink before I can blot the excess away.

BeautifullyUnique86 Avatar

For me it’s eyeliner. When I decide to wing it out or anything like that it takes so long because I don’t want to mess up and usually I do lol. I’ve gotten to the point now where I’ll just tight line and call it a day.

Kiera Avatar

foundation, only because I always have to be really careful to cover all of my face because if I miss just a spot there’s a huge splotch on my face.

Amal Avatar

For a party it’s first the clothes, the hair, then the foundation. On a daily basis I don’t worry much as I don’t put any foundation and my hair is covered lol :p

Ally_D Avatar

My least favourite is liquid liner – I don’t normally have a problem with shaky hands but when I pick up my liquid liner I lose all control of my hands

Sara Avatar

For me, it’s concealer. I use Mac Select CoverUp but found that it was a bit too dry, so I always have to dab some on my hand, squirt a tiny bit of moisturizer, mix with a brush, then apply with my brush on any spots and under my eyes. I love the results but it’s always just so… blah. Too time consuming to do at 630am, but worth it, I guess!

Erica Avatar

i agree with you Christine. I never know if my long curly hair is going to cooperate and that always leaves me feeling like i’ve wasted my time on my makeup!

Rosie Avatar

All the presteps like moisturizing and primer. I use a serum then I use some acne stuff then my moisturizer which only has spf 15 so on sunnier days I add sunblock. It takes forever to let it all sink in before the next step.

Millie Avatar

I agree with you, Christine! Doing my hair is my least favorite, I wish it were in style to just go out with wet hair, ha, ha.

Chiara Avatar

Foundation. I never get it the way i want it. And it’s SO time consuming. I can’t believe i spend about 10-15 mins on my face daily.

Liliana Avatar

Blush. I can never get the color placement right and end up with either too much, or not enough, or its not in the place its supposed to be at.

Alexis Avatar

I love doing my makeup – never really a chore for me but yes it would be blowing/flat ironing my hair. Was a major pain when my hair was SUPER long. It’s at my shoulders now and I still dread doing it!

abril Avatar

My hair!!! I have a lot of hair! And takes me like an hour to blow dry it and apply heat protector, straightner cream and style it (straight or curl)… I usually enjoy doing my makeup, it takes me at least 30 mins but I really enjoy it!

Cherie Avatar

Definately hair!!!

Runner up would be foundation and then spot cleaning my brushes at the end (brushes for foundation + cream products)

Heather Avatar

My least favorite part is curling my eyelashes and putting on mascara too. It feels so mundane and painstakingly tedious, yet it is a necessity for me. I usually procrastinate doing it, but then a few times I’ve forgotten and left the house without it! *gasp* 🙂

audrey Avatar

its a tie between eyebrow plucking or concealer. I hate trying to cover big fat pimples when my epiduo and zeno don’t do it for me!

CeeBee Avatar

Bronzer. Powder I can do fine, it goes all over my face so I don’t need my glasses on to do that. Blush I can apply with my glasses on so I can see what I’m doing but bronzer requires me to brush on a tiny bit, put glasses on, look, decide I need more, take off glasses, apply more, check again, repeat as needed. It drives me bonkers because I am paranoid about putting on too much and looking like a Oompa Loompa with carotenosis.

Mascara bugs me a bit if I blink or put my glasses on to soon and leave black streaks that need to be cleaned off.

I am way to lazy to blow dry my hair otherwise I’d hate that. I am so lazy I just wash it, comb it and go. Fortunately it looks great once it has air-dried 😉

Diligent Shopper Avatar

matching my right eye makeup to my left eye. They always look like there’s some sort of discrepancy and I feel like I need to spend a lot of time on it.

Katie Avatar

Either picking out clothes (which usually winds up consisting of grabbing jeans and whatever tshirt I feel like that day) or trying to do something with my hair. I rarely take the time to straighten it and it won’t hold a curl, and if I just leave it down normally it doesn’t always look right. So 9/10 times I’ll just do a ponytail, but then I worry about making my hairline recede… I’m entirely too picky.

LNU Avatar

I think for me its taking off my makeup, I’m always so tired when I get home! But also my hair. I have really long hair that hits my bottom! I pull it in a bun everyday, and straighten it I’d say less then once a month.

Andrea Avatar

Nothing. If it’s too tedious or bothersome, I don’t even do it. I do as little as possible because I like an effortless look.

Anna Avatar

Ugh, I hate having to do my hair. I have to flat iron my hair or it will go crazy in this humid HI weather. I get so impatient even if it is only 20 minutes.
