Haul: PUR Minerals Simplicity Soothing Cleanser (wonderful), Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Brightening Toner, and while we were over the border, I stocked up on my fave moisturizer – Eucerin Q10 Cream and also got a Real Techniques makeup sponge, LORAC Pro2 palette (fabulous), Albolene cleanser and (yay, finally!) L’Oreal Gilded Envy Infallible eyeshadow.
Weekend plans: yoga tomorrow, visiting our youngest at uni on Sunday
Favourite grilled food – anything at all – I’d eat cardboard if it was grilled and covered in garlic! I guess my fave would be grilled wild salmon but, honestly, I love just about anything on the bbq.

He’s an odd one! He gets major separation anxiety if I’m actually gone for prolonged periods of time (he wasn’t pleased when I was in Boston last week, even though my husband was still home with him!).
Haul: I was motivated by the Urban Decay Top Ten post to get the Revolution lip glosses in Quiver and Punch Drunk, and Fireball eyeshadow. I have to say, few products can compare in quality to Urban Decay when they do it right. I have not been able to find good purples/blues for several years but Tonic and Dive Bar are just stunning. The glosses are better than anything else I have (and I have more glosses than any woman should own). I hope Urban Decay will release new single eye shadows in this same formula for fall. Also new Revolution glosses. I can’t tell you how happy I am with these products!
Weekend plans: Bloomington IL Shakespeare Festival with my husband. We are going to see Q Gents.

**Haul – pre-ordered the Chikuhodo Sakura Brush Set, will come in September, it’s my first high- end Japanese brushes, and my wallet is empty. MAC Extra Dimension shadows in Sea Worship and Silver Dawn. I couldn’t resist the $10 off from MAC. Their new website sucks but the formula is so incredible, I’m tempted to get more. And a MAC 239 shadow brush, been on this earth for +40 years, and it’s my first MAC brush ever, can you believe it?

Haul: Burberry Tangerine Blush which may be my new HG blush for everyday use! It’s just so great, the only complaint I can think of about it is (and this is super nitpicking) including their brush makes the compact twice as big as it needs to be.
Also the new(ish) Mac 221 brush which is everything I hoped it would be. Who knew placing eyeshadow in the crease would be so much easier with a crease brush?!
And that Mellan photo is adorable! My dog is super picky and refuses to play with anything other than her duck that makes a noise when you press it and she annoys everyone else in the house.

Haul: 2 days ago I received the great news I have got a job in Belgium (moving in with my boyfriend, yay!) so I have decided to treat myself a bit and bought MAC Springsheen and Sandy B, and a Douglas Pure Shiny lipgloss in Nude. As a non-makeup haul, I have bought a nice Zara skirt I like since a few months ago and scored it for sales.
Weekend plans: Going to see my boyfriend in Brussels and celebrate our imminent new life as living in together 🙂

Weekend plans: Shop the July 4th sales (online) of course! Relax since I had surgery on Tuesday. Actually really relax since I just got the pathology back today and this tumor was benign! (I had breast cancer in 2010).

My dog gets a stuffed goose every Christmas! (not like one for eating, like a plush goose toy).
Haul: I call it the age of the lipsticks! (This is basically an update of last week’s Haul, since I ordered them last week but they arrived Tues). From Sephora I got Nars Audacious in Barbara (exchanging for another shade this weekend) & the Bite duo in Tangerine/Lingonberry. From MAC ($10 off code) I got Rebel and Ruby Woo lipsticks, Nightingale lipliner (Nightingale/Rebel are more for the fall, but I had the coupon), and the light green corrector. I’ve only recently started exploring MAC lipsticks so I’ve been going a bit nuts. I ordered a Morphe brush off of HauteLook to see if it was worth the hype. My verdict is “meh, not worth the full price.”
Weekend plans: Nothing! Nothing, sweet nothing! No work on Sat. because of the holiday! But I’m taking a summer course starting on Tues., so I have to prep for that.
Favorite grilled food: Grilled chicken breast with lemon. Simple, but classic! Wait, does garlic bread count?

I personally am a fan of the Retro Matte formula, so I quite like Ruby Woo, but Rebel is such a pretty fall shade, I’m sure I’ll be wearing it a ton. And I love the bright colors in the Bite duo I got, but I always forget just how creamy the Luminous Creme formula is! All but one of the lipsticks I got I love, and I do really enjoy the formula of the Nars Audacious, but Barbara pulls extremely brown on me, with almost no pink showing through, so I’ll be exchanging it for a similar but pinker shade (I think I’ll try Brigitte on in store, see how that looks).

Yeah, definitely the opposite ends of the finish spectrum!
Haul: superstore sells milani and wet n wild so I picked up the milani extreme tech felt tip liner, milani baked blush in luminoso, milani blush (the one with the flower imprint) in the coral shade, and 3 wet n wild 8 pan palettes in comfort zone, poster child, and petal pusher. Comfort zone is my fave of the three.

Weekend Plans: I work both days, but my family and I are going to the strip (Las Vegas) to watch the fireworks.

I will. So many people here have mentioned Picadilly Circus. I love the shade, so I finally went for it. I’m happy it went on sheer but bright, just how I needed. Love it! I got Cheerio very cheap, so what the heck! It’s hard to find bright yellow eyeliner. I’ll be trying Cheerio out this weekend.

Kendall Jenner’s Lauder lipstick, “Restless” which wore today for the first time and think I will be returning it. Urban Decay afterglow blushes in Rapture and Bittersweet and lipstick in Strip(pulled straight from your 10 best list and a 20% off promo! Thanks for the suggestions Christine! I love Raprture to pieces! Becca x Jaclyn Hill luminizer,,& Clinique bottom lash mascara are ordered. MUFE smoothing primer(nice on the t zone and over a little scar from a surgery),MJB Jolly Molly,Jack Black lip balm,a new clarisonic brush head(feel like I change that once a month at least- it starts getting stinky and grosses me out), I picked up a few each of Karuna brightening, Tony Moly “clear skin” hydrating,and Sephora brand eye sheet masks to have around for post-op. FAB foaming cleanser for my daughter-1 for home and a small size to take to sports and friend’s houses.
Weekend Plans: I ran errands all day trying to replace curtains, missing furniture, etc. still. The insurance has not moved in a week. So, I am just being as patient as I possibly can. I have surgery on Fri. So, I was hoping to at least have the majority of large things handled because my daughter has a sleepover Birthday party planned 2 weeks after my surgery and I will be in no shape to be assembling and hanging post-op. I’m not even supposed to drive for a long time (3-4 weeks)! But, I decided I would just go ahead and buy curtains and a coffee table if I could find them. I have a friend coming this week to help put together the tv shelves and offered to help. So, I am taking advantage of that. Basically, shopping for furniture, curtains, PJs and travel toiletries for the hospital. I may g to the local festival for the fourth.
Favorite grilled food: pretty much anything! I love grilled food!

Formula is off! I replied to Christine or you Kat or maybe both of you..I’m not sure how to post my responses to well! Anyway, look at the response. It’s completely up to you. But, I wish I would have waited until it hit the counters or until Christine reviewed it. But, at the same time, you look much younger than me. I am 39. So my lips don’t like thick, dry mattes. It just gravitates to any cracks.
Oh, thanks for letting me know! For some reason I had thought it might be a creamier matte. I think I’ll go dupe hunting, I don’t mind dry mattes but I don’t like them to be too thick or cakey.
Good idea! I’m going to be out later today. I’ll try to compare it to Mac’s offerings.I have Flame on the way too. But with the shipping from Tx. ,I scheduled it to come after my surgery. So, I won’t be able to comment on that for a couple weeks. I just think Lauder needs work in mattes. 🙂
Hey Kat, Mac’s Lady Danger is pretty much a spot on dupe in color for Restless . I took it with my tube of Restless with me to the mall. The SA agreed. Dangerous is a bit more orange. Hope that helps!
Oh geez Kat, I just got home and swatched my Lady Danger next to Restless. The Lady Danger I have is slightly more red than Restless. Restless would be like layering an orange with Lady Danger. I don’t think it would be noticeable on the lips. I just wanted to clarify.:) weird because in the store they looked the same!

I really like the color. But if you have a decent lipstick collection, you likely have it or pretty close. It is a pretty shade. But not terribly unique. The formula is just not good compared to all the other mattes coming out. I was so excited because I love Lauder’s Color Envy line in the Sculpting and shine formula. It bunches up in the corners of my mouth and lip lines within a couple of hours.I kept having to smooth it out with my finger. I did wear it over just a bit of balm soaked in and blotted. I am going t give it another go with maybe a clear lip pencil under. It seems thick when I compare it to my Mac or Tom Ford mattes and it just had an odd feeling. I think Mac Dangerous looks pretty close and Tom Ford Flame, . I have Tom Ford flame ordered. I will scope out Dangerous next time I am at the mall. I got mine 15% off off by ordering directly through Lauder and signing up for emails. but, I still paid $27 and some change for it. So, I decided I’m not going to keep it if it’s going to collect dust.
Also..slightly dry compared to the others I have which I like( Mac and Tom Ford).
Oh no! Sorry to hear that it isn’t quite as good as other mattes or the rest of the Envy line 🙁

Mellan is so lucky, I wish I had a lobster of that size. 😉 Is he good with his “babies” or does he eventually tear them apart? We have a cockapoo named Razamataz, we call him Raz, who loves his babies but, due to being a rather anxious dog, ends up destroying them. Paco, an abused chiweenie we rescued after someone tied him in a bag and threw him in the road, doesn’t get to have a toy because Raz always steals them. Fortunately, Paco doesn’t seem to mind. =)
Haul: A Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk (why didn’t I know about this sooner!?!), the Queen palette from Lorac’s holiday set last year (it’s the only 4-color palette I was interested in so… thank goodness for eBay!), NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in auburn and Maybelline’s Brow Drama in auburn to see if an auburn color looks right on me before investing in something pricier.
Weekend plans: Grilling out with the family, then sitting out front and watching fireworks going off in every direction.
What’s your favorite grilled food?: I have a hard time picking favorites when it comes to food! Ribs, rib eye, filet mignon, corn, asparagus… I’ll stop now. =)

He primarily carries them in his mouth and runs around the house, occasionally tossing it up or spitting it out, but you don’t find him laying down and working to nibble off all the bits and bobs of them. The average stuffed toy lasts six to twelve months, depending on how much he gets into it, and usually because he’s punctured it enough that you’ll see trails of stuffing in the hallway, haha.
Oh, I know about the trails of stuffing all too well! If my husband didn’t re-stuff and sew up the holes in the toys we buy for Raz, we’d be investing in a new one at least every two months. We give him things to chew on but they are short-lived. I wish Mellan’s lobster a long life! =)
Awww!!!! How precious! Because he’s a great pooch, and every great pooch ought to have a special stuffed lobster! That’s what I miss from living in NJ: fresh lobster with melted butter! Yummm!
Haul: UD Afterglow Blush in Rapture, Nars Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Calisto, MAC Fluidline in Waveline, 2 tubes of Maybelline Lash Sensational WP Mascara ( bogo @ Ulta), a bunch of Nyx stuff @ 40% off ; Prismatic e/s in Mermaid, Intense Butter Gloss in Berry Strudel, Slide On eyeliner pencil in Jet, Concealer Stick in Beige, then a new pot of Essence Gel Liner. Went to Sephora today to get their Classic Cream Eyeshadow Brush #80, but didn’t realize it was online only, so the SA showed me the #20 Perfecting Concealer brush and told me it should do the same thing, Idk? So I bought it because I figured it is firmer than most of my existing, I do have a concealer brush already, but nine is really small-ish. And…I placed another ColourPop order last night, it already shipped, so next Friday?
Weekend plans: got invited to go out with friends for Saturday, so hopefully I’ll have already washed and blown out my hair beforehand! This heat and humidity have been knocking me on my butt all this week, so I am drained! Sunday, my meeting.
Favorite grilled food: Lamb shish kabob! Cheeseburgers, too! Red potatoes with rosemary, garlic and EVOO! BBQ chicken! Corn on the cob!
LOL! My mom went on a hunt to find the best lobster roll while she was out there (my parents stayed a few extra days) since she misses them so!

Haul: Mostly Urban Decay that just showed up today: UD Lip Liner in Catfight, Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Spandex, shadows in Divebar, Sideline, and Tonic. Also finally got Clinique Plum Pop lipstick–looks completely different on me than expected–brighter than the soft MLBB I thought it would be. My picky sensitive lips like the formula so far and if this pattern continues I’m going to haul more colors–finally another formula I can wear!
Weekend Plans: yoga and july 4th festivals. Hopefully get some decluttering done.
What’s your favorite grilled food?: Hmm…grilled veggies? steak? burgers? hotdogs? I’m actually not too picky when it comes to grilled food–the charred taste is so yummy.

Pre-ordered the Chanel Anniversary Sale Palette at Nordstrom – looks amazing – $95 but you get a lot in it including exclusive colors. Tried to buy Fix+ in Coconut and got rejected so settled for cucumber to add to the Yuzu in my stash. A couple of the Tillbury lipsticks in Perfect Bitch and Chochella with pillowtalk liner.
