Pop-up Color with Teal

Pop-up Color with Teal

I was totally going to do a neutral look, but I was wearing a teal shirt… so one thing led to another and I ended up going for subtle color. Is it really only Tuesday? I feel like it should be Friday already! No, seriously… 🙂

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Soft Ochre paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Next, apply a secondary base of Indianwood paint pot on the lid only. Using the 239, apply Nylon eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Patina eyeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Humid eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Apply Bottle Green eyeshadow into the outer crease with the 226. Lightly tap and brush Nylon eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Ricepaper eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying #20L eyeliner on the lower lash line and sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Sugarbomb blush to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Gardenia lipstick first, and then layer Gold Dust lipglass for a complementing lip.

this is my favorite look that I’ve seen on you! I love everything you do, of course 😉 lol but this actually makes me feel like I could do a teal! LOVE

Pretty. Too bad you don’t have any subs but I know that Bottle Green is just like Plummage (it looks the same on darker skin). I don’t have Patina but I’ve swatched in the store and it doesn’t look bronzy on me :0(

You look gorgeous!! I love the teal with the neutral and your lips look fab. And the cheeks look natural and really pull the whole look together. Great job!

Looks fantastic! I’m happy to see a look featuring Patina, which is always a go-to colour for me in a variety of looks. And you’re right- it does go really well with that shirt 🙂

I love this neutral eye with a pop of colour. I am going to have to look in my collection to see if I can reproduce this eye look.

Very pretty on you!

FOREST FAIRY!!!! So pretty, love the neutrals with a pop of color, great forest color liner and shadows!!! Will also try this one, thanks for the tip.

Wow! Today we wear the same colors! 🙂 Actually my look is more orange, however I used: Copper sparkle pigment in the inner corner, Tan pigment in the middle of the lid, a dark green in the crease (of an Italian brand, Pupa, I don’t know if you ever heard about it). Under the eyes, in the inner corner I blended YSL poudre givree n. 3 and Lancome ink artliner in Pop petrol+the dark green eye shadow in the outer corner. For lips, Guerlain Rouge G in Gems (LE Winter 2009). Hope you like it as I like your looks! 😉

I love this look, especially the green liner. I think I have a GOSH liner in similar colour, need to check it actually, and recreate this look soon! 🙂

Very, very pretty. Those colors suit you so well. Especially loving the liner and the lips. BTW I purchased MAC for the first time yeaterday. Eyeshadow: Coppering, Goldmine, and Creme de Violet. Also Lychee Luxe lipglass.

Very fun, but I do think I could pull this off at work. Will have to give it a try sometime soon! I might have to go back for Gold Dust lipglass, too – really pretty layering color 🙂

Christine, this is probably one of the prettiest looks you’ve done ! I loved it, I’m always so unsure of greens, now I have an inspiration !!!

Oh, that’s beautiful! I actually did something kinda similar today, lol- I used indiandwood, nylon, soba, and humid. The green liner you used is super pretty though- it really brought out your eyecolor. I never think to put colored liner on my waterlines- just the same boring black. 🙂

I love this look! I do a smiliar one with neutrals on the lid Smashbox halo shadows and then teal gel liner on the lower waterline and over that mermaid green nyx shadow or Loreal Hip liner in Blue Spark! Gorgeous!

LOVE THIS LOOK! So beautiful! I love a wearable green 🙂

And dont worry, I too thought today felt like a Friday and was totally bummed to note it was only Tuesday… blarrrrgghhh.

Christine this is very beautiful but I do have a question. In the video you say you are using Satin Taupe for the outer corner and bottle green in the crease. Yet up above here you don’t mention Satin Taupe. I’m really not nitpicking I just want to make sure I didn’t miss anything! lol! Thanks!

Hi Christine! This is my favorite look on you. You look simply stunning. I love green bottle but I can’t find it on their website. Are you sure is a permanent color? If not, do you know where I can buy it?

Ryan Avatar

Christine this is fricken amazing! The green is beautiful and this is BY FAR the most fabulous look I have seen on you. But I was woundering if bottle green was le or is it still availible? I just dont think I have ever seen that color.

Bettina Avatar

I love this. I feel like bottle green is only available on the pro website as a pan refil or something like that but when you go through the colors they have on the site bottle green is not one of them….figures the one color everyone wants but has a hard time finding.

I”m a bit weirded out. No word of a lie I did this exact look today same MAC colors and MUFE eyeliner. What are the chances!!! You look gorgeous as usually 🙂

KG Avatar

This look is gorgeous! Maybe my favorite look of yours since I’ve been following your blog. I’m going to have to pick up that MUFE eyeliner ASAP.

Ooh, this looks wonderful! I’ve been looking for the perfect teal shadow (all the shadows I find labeled as teal aren’t as green as I’d like), so I’ll be sure to try Bottle Green. 🙂 Is the paint pot base what gave the Bottle Green that nice, shimmery sheen?

CB Avatar

Sorry to double post! I was wondering, could I use a powder shimmery shadow as the base for the Bottle Green instead of a paint pot? I’m asking because I already have a pale gold shadow and I’m afraid the paint pot would dry out considering I don’t think I’d use it often..

P.S. the golds and the teals look incredible with your eye color and dark hair!!
