Weekend plans: My boyfriend is graduating from college, so I’m flying out to be there! Should be fun, I haven’t seen him in two months!
Favorite Character: I was a huge fan of Sailor Moon growing up, but now I don’t think you could convince me of a better pair of characters than Katara and Zuko from Avatar: The Last AIrbender. They’re SUCH complex and real characters, I love them!

Also, yesterday I emailed Shani Dardan, who is Jessica Alba and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s esthetician, b/c I wanted to try her Retinol Reform but was concerned that I might be allergic to one of the ingredients. weeekend plans: My daughter is in a play tonight! So, I am pretty excited for that.Then two soccer games tomorrow and yard work..yeah(very sarcastically on that!) Hopefully , Sun., will be a mix of laundry catch up and at least, some relaxing! The house is a mess including the area in my room for my makeup storage. After the Sephora sale and Tom Ford summer haul, it still has not gotten completely how I wanted it! But, I gotta breathe at some point.The mess isn’t going anywhere.

YAY for ColourPop!
Hi Nicole! I tried the Chanel Eyeliner in Orchidee and love it! The color is really gorgeous, perfect for spring/summer, nice pop of color on my brown eyes, but not OTT. It’s fairly smooth, only minimal amount of drag when applying, and pretty pigmented. And it stays well on my oily lids, about 13 hours before I saw some fading. I did prep my oily lids with eye primer and eye shadow before applying the liner. You may want to check your stash to see if you have any similar colors. I did some googling, and I think L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime liner in Pure Purple might be a dupe, so I’m going to get it this weekend to see if it will hold up on my oily lids. Temptalia gave the L’oreal one a B- because it wasn’t that even and only lasted 9 hours instead of 16, but I for that price, I’m going to see if I can make it work. If not, I’m going to have to buy another backup (my wallet is crying) since it’s LE. Hope this helps
Thanks for getting back to me on orchidee Katherine! I am so glad you like it. For $32 you should! I have been making my self crazy over it and keep trying to get to the mall to look at it again as it’s so hard to actually see the actual shade on a computer screen. I do have that Loreal one you mentioned too. I have drier skin and wear primer so liner usually will last well enough on me unless it’s just bad,lol. The Loreal silkissmee liners are pretty good. If you think it is close ,if I were you I would buy that one and use theLoreal when you don’t need the long wear and the Chanel when you do or special occasions,etc. But,I know how you feel on that LE chanel stuff. I bought 2 of the bronzers! It was rough. I feel for you. I’ll let you know if I find anything in my stash that compares to Orchidee. Haul: yesterday i received the tom ford cream foundation brush and the Marc Jacobs concealer brush and used them today and i loved the results!! Oh and i also got the benjabelle Daisy brush tree

Haul: I picked up the Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment and I’m thinking about going and getting the oil as well. I’ve been using a sample of the oil and it’s doing great things for my skin and I’m liking it much more than the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.
Weekend plans: Last week I was driving back home and I spotted a run-down wooden furniture piece with a big ‘ol “free” sign on it. Eventually, with help from the homeowner and my boyfriend, it made it’s way home with me. I’m planning on turning it into an entertainment center/tv-stand. That weekend I was able to remove the two doors, drill holes in the bottom and back of the shelves to allow room for power cords, and get it all sanded down. This weekend is for painting. I’m on board for either white or hunter green, but my boyfriend wants deep red, so we’ll see what happens.
What is/was your favorite animated/cartoon character?: The seagulls from Finding Nemo that go “mine, mine, mine, mine, mine!”

Haul: Some of the newer ColourPop shadows (Coconut, High Tide, Flipper, and Shark Attack. Coconut and High Tide are the only ones I’ve played with so far and they are utterly superior products), one of the ColourPop bronzers (Paradise Cove. Love the color but haven’t gotten to incorporate it enough for an opinion yet), and a backup of YSL’s Orchidee and Iris liner shades.
Favorite Animated Character is so hard to pick! The fox version of Robin Hood, Bruce the shark from Finding Nemo, Anastasia, Ursula, Maleficent, Harley Quinn, etc etc 🙂

The haul: Boy did I drop a lot on makeup this week. I revamped all my basics and more, and woke up still in love with it all the next morning. FINALLY I’ve found my holy grail orange lipstick! Kat Von D’s A-go-go in the liquid formula is the winner. I’m obsessed.
I also picked up Sephora’s #47 Foundation Brush and I’m impressed that it gives such a gorgeous finish on my oily-dry skin, which I never would have expected from a $28 foundation brush. The only downside is I feel its bristles could be just a little bit softer.
Weekend plans: I’m going to put on a full face of makeup and… sit at my desk and work.
Favorite Cartoon Character: I don’t know how to pick, I love animation! Toothless from HTTYD? Maybe that just indicates I love cats, ha ha…

Isadora is a brand from Sweden. Their “Velvet Touch Compact Powder” is a bestseller here in Norway that I compare to Make Up For Ever “Velvet Finish Compact Powder”.
Hmm, their Twist Up Matte Lips are really nice! Velvet Touch Powder and Glossy Eyeliner are products I know I can trust! But they rarely disappoint me with their new releases, they are so much better now than a couple of years ago 🙂

Haul: Ordered Domestic Diva, don’t have it yet, though. Stayed up until 4:30 the other night waiting for the MAC Wash And Dry, was fighting to stay awake, called CS to ask what time so that I could nap, set up the text msg. notification, set it on LOUD, fell asleep…never heard it go off, woke up at 10, Morange ( and a LOT of other stuff ) was sold out. But on the 21st @ 10 a.m. I have an appt. @ the event.
Weekend plans: I have a major “date” with my laundromat! Plus the usual wknd routine: hair blowout ordeal, nails, meeting.

Weekend: I need to tidy up my HOUSE and put things away. I also need to figure out where in the nine hells my story plot is going next, but like most writers, I will do anything to avoid actually writing, including housecleaning, which I actually hate more than revising, if that’s possible….

Do you like Poison as it smells now or do you long for the previous version that you remember?
I like the way I remember much better. It seems like it’s sweeter and plummier now, and less spicy. I’m not sure if it’s faulty memory or they reformulated at some point. I still like it, but don’t love it like I used to. But it’s been a very, very, very long time since I’ve used it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they tweaked it here and there – I know there have been a lot of regulation changes in fragrance!
Aw, that would explain it. It was probably a gradual change for constant wearers. I’ll get used to the new scent. At least the quality is still there, it just smells like “Poison Lite.” It kept it’s staying power, too.
My birthday was yesterday so my husband FINALLY handed over the Narsissist palette I’ve been waiting to get my hands on! Yay! I also received another Goss brush (#5) from my daughter. In other news, I added some more Fyrinnae items to my ever-growing collection, the Nyx Wicked Lippie in Power as well as a few other Nyx items, and four new La Femme blushes.
Sadly, I woke up today with a cold and won’t be trying out the Nars palette until I’m feeling better. =( I wonder how many more times I’m going to swatch it on my arm in the meantime?

It wasn’t even out on the display yet but they’d put one aside for me, brought one out from the back so I could see it and be sure I like it before buying. I am one happy makeup addict! Nearly bought either Nars Sin or UD Rapture blush but didn’t have time to try them out and decide which I liked better so I’ll wait til next week or when I have time to give them both a good look in-store.
Weekend Plans: It’s a long weekend in Canada (Victoria Day) and my younger son is coming home tomorrow and we want to take him to an Indian restaurant we’ve just discovered.

You and me both. I am so loving the 3 top shades (the light ones) – they are so pigmented that they actually SHOW UP, which isn’t all that common in pale shadows. Texture of all the shades is delicious. I could take this one palette on an extended trip and not need another eyeshadow at all.
I feel like the Artist formula has really spoiled me — they’re just easy to work with and so pigmented, but you can easily blend them out for a softer look if desired.

Same here, I always had big dogs. It’s a long story about how it happened (involving my daughter begging). lol But, now I love Lola so much. She’s quiet and smart too.

Haul: Pur Minerals Air Cushion, Lancome Miracle Cushion. Unfortunately both are going back, the latter was horrible and the prior was amazing except the color match was way to dark and I don’t plan on tanning this summer 🙁
Weekend plans: Mexican medical clinic on Saturday (very sad day actually, last day for my #2 favorite PA and watched a dog get run over, not die, and couldn’t do anything to relieve it’s pain, I feel so useless) Sunday was movie day, watched Pitch Perfect 2, which was funny so the weekend got better.
