Inspired by professional techniques and textures, this palette lets you create easy, stand-out eyes. Achieve flawless, sculpted eye looks and color graduation with these five semi-tones, while the designer textures allow for infinite layering with a sheer finish. This palette features a powder base that smooths, evens out, and prepares lids for application of longer-lasting, eye shadow color. Enriched with pearlescent pigments, its array of satiny eye shadows deliver high-pigment power with a luminous finish that creates a 3-D, sculpted effect. I think I am SO over Dior Eyeshadow palettes. I really tried and hoped for them to be worth the money you invest in them but they’re just not.
Last purchase, I couldn’t resist Dior Trafalgar but the quality is terrivle, too much fall out, colors don’t blend so well so sad because I really loved it so I took a leap of faith and bought it anyways but I regret it because it wasn’t worth the money sadly..
Is there a vendetta against cool-toned people? It seems like two-thirds of new colors tilt slightly to very warm.

It seems like a reformulation of some sorts – Dior likes to reformulate very frequently from my experience, though whether you’ll notice it in practice can differ from release to release. These are definitely different (brushes are placed at the bottom, so the palette pans seem shorter).

Did they just repackage these? They seem similar to the ones they had before.
I hope this performs better than the current Dior quads, which are really hit or miss, mostly misses. And I don’t like having the eyeliner there, as I prefer to use my own eyeliner, and I don’t like cream products mixing with powder products. The purple/blue looks interesting but the others look pretty standard
These look really nice but given Dior’s track record with eyeshadow palettes I’ll hold out until I see some swatches and reviews. Hopefully I’ll get one or two for gratis to test out
Ugh, these look so boring!
Blah, these immediately reminded me of the little drugstore matching shade palettes I would have in high school. They all had coordinating shades in the exact same colors offered here – browns, blues, greens, purples, greys. Super boring, and for $62, I’m not impressed at all.
Hmm…I don’t know how I feel about the new packaging. Not that I’m all that familiar with Dior’s eyeshadows. If they’re reformulated and the formula is better, great. But to me, the new packaging looks kind of cheap compared to the current one.
Christine, do you think you will be reviewing these quads? At this price point, I would have to read some pretty stellar reviews because I know only too well how poor quality the majority of Dior’s shadows are. The fact that these are permanent means there is no rush to buy them and we can all take our time, check them out in-store (if possible), wait for reviews, etc. The khaki, taupe and amber ones look really tempting to me but, like I say, I will wait and see.
I don’t expect to, unless I see a lot of buzz about them in a good way. In general, I’ve liked this style of palette from them even less than their standard range, which is already hit or miss!
Navy is the only one that interests me.
Amazing shades! I’ve been dying to buy one of these gorgeous dior palettes! Especially Cuir Canage. I have to say I like the old packaging a lot more! Do you know if they will replaced them? I hope not but it looks like it 🙁 it also looks like there is less product? And I like the square kind of look that the current ones has.

I have Cuir Cannage, and I’m a fan. Despite all the negative reviews here, I find it equal in quality to most other high-end shadow palettes I own (and better than several) with rich but staple colors and I find myself reaching it for it often. I’ll be curious to see how these test out.
With an gel liner as well…. Nope, not buying this mess.

I have the original palettes in #508 Nude Pink Design and #808 Pink Design which is pinks and purples. I didn’t have any trouble with the powder going into the liner, but the liner was nothing to write home about. I do like the different textures made for layering in the “designer” series. The nude pink is really too warm for me, so I rarely use it as it’s not all that flattering on me, but on a warmer skintone it would be beautiful. Understated and elegant. It looks like they aren’t bringing the #808 back.
I hope these new ones have an improved formula. It’s nice that they added an actual brush – if it’s any good. I also hope they made the compact thinner. If it gets good reviews, I might get the navy, though it’s interesting to see how different they look in the promo pic in the hand, and the one right below it which appears to have some purples (which I like!). Why can’t cosmetic companies ever have accurate photo’s of coloring of their products?!
I saw some swatches of the Navy palette on British Beauty Blogger and she seemed pleased with it. Didn’t realise one section was a cream liner, though. Mixing cream and powder products in one palette makes it an automatic pass for me. I hate that!
Although I’m a fan of Dior mascara, I’ve never tried the shadows. Although a few of these color combos appeal to me and I like that they’re a mix of matte and shimmer, the compacts themselves, especially for $62, just don’t appeal to me – they look too boring and old-fashioned. I think they need a packaging face lift.
Love the Khaki colour and hope that the Navy Design is better.
Are you doing a review on Dior’s Contraste Horizon palette – the one by Peter Phillips? I would really love it if you did.
Dior eyeshadow palettes have been so hit and miss in my experience. Not really a label I look to and these look rather run of the mill. The packaging looks waaaay boring streamlined and I am not typically sold on packaging.. But does anyone else remember those absolutely gorgeous hefty square palettes they used to put out striped in blue and black eons ago. They were stunning. These, meh!
Yes, I remember those old ones. I think I still have some, hidden away. Not sure they are still useable, though.
They are the reason I kept buying Dior shadows only to be disappointed by 50-60% of them.
These looks a bit boring, I think, still they will probably sell well.
