favorite eyeliner for adding a pop of color: Marc Jacobs introvert, Peridot and Orange crush have been my regulars lately.
Long wearing foundation: ehh. I really just wear a “long-lasting’ one. My skin is dry. So with a primer and set , they last just fine usually. Guerlain Lingerie de peau and Chanel’s CC cream are my go-to’s at the moment.
Cream blush formula; I really don’t use it that much. I love the Tom ford summer cream blush although it is a pain to work with. But the result is gorgeous. I usually reach for Mac cream colour base because I have a few of those and they work okay. I have not tried many. I am going to read the other comments on this one for sure. I think my skin is coming to a point where creams may benefit me especially in winter months! 🙂

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? I have a few of the new Marc Jacobs eyeliners that just came out and some more UD liners in my wishlist, but I have two current favorite colored liners. Urban Decay Mildew eyeliner is a gorgeous mid tone mossy green with some gold undertones, in a metallic finish. It’s bright and colorful, but has enough mossiness/neutralness to keep it grounded and far away from electric or lime green. I also have Marc Jacobs in (Luna)tic, which is halfway between silver and lavender. Both of those are considered more neutral by some people, but they’re the “poppiest” colored liners I have. All the rest are dark and I use them as substitutes for black, not as a pop of color.

Favorite long-wearing foundation? I know a lot of people like Estee Laudeer DW, and it is very long wearing, but it was just too matte/drying for my dry skin, and emphasized a lot of flakiness. My go-to foundation which I’ve found is the perfect balance of long wearing vs. comfortable is MAC Studio Fix.

Favorite cream blush formula? I don’t use cream blushes a whole lot, since powders are just easier for me, but I have a few of the NYX ones and I really like them. I also have a few others (Becca shimmer souffle, Maybelline master glaze stick, and a sample size of the Tarte cheek stain) but I think the NYX one is the creamiest and has the best shades. I just don’t tend to reach for cream products, even though I’m dry.

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? I usually go more for lightening and brightening pencils on lower lash line and traditional black and browns on upper, but Marc Jacobs Ody(Sea) is perfect with summer nude bronzey looks for a bright focal point on my lower lash.

Favorite long-wearing foundation? Fav summer foundation: Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation in Fawn. Hot damn, one of my best skintone matches and so hard core durable.

Favorite cream blush formula? For summer, definitely Becca Beach Tint Souffle (Raspberry/Opal lends just the right amount of subtle colour and shimmer).

Anne Avatar

What do you use to apply the Becca beach tint soufflé? I’ve tried my fingers, a couple stippling brushes, and some other synthetic brushes but none work for me 🙁

Wednesday Avatar

Hi Anne: I find MAC 130 short duo fibre brush works best for me. If you scroll down, it is at the very bottom of the ‘face’ brushes on MAC website: small with short duo bristles, it fits perfectly in my cheek area. I have three of these brushes because I also use the same brush for cream contour and also cream or cream to powder highlight. 🙂

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? Tie between Sephora Shadow & Liner in mauve shimmer ($7 on clearance!) and M.A.C. Fluidline in Siahi and UD in Ether
Favorite long-wearing foundation? I know it’s technically not “long wear” but since I get 10+ hrs of flawless coverage from it – Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation in shade 4.5
Favorite cream blush formula? Not a big cream blush fan, but I have fallen in love with the new Stila Aqua Glow Watercolor Blush in Water Blossom. I love that the coverage is buildable, looks fresh, and lasts all day!

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? I really love the MAC Blue Peep Fluidline!

Favorite long-wearing foundation? The new MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation is really good. And I’ve also always liked Estée Lauder’s Double Wear formula, both the original and the light version.

Favorite cream blush formula? I love Bobbi Brown’s cheek & lip colors. And this e.l.f. HD Blush that I reviewed today is actually really nice too, especially for being so cheap.

-Skin tone is fairest neutral porcelain with cool-toned features (hair, eyes) as always 😉
-I could never choose just one favorite! Teals, purples (of all kinds), blues, and greens are probably my most used. Favorites for each of these include (but are certainly not limited to) Marc Jacob’s Intro(vert), Urban Decay’s Deep End, NARS Solomon Islands Chanel’s Orchidee, Chanel’s Iris, TOUCH IN SOL’s Galactic Girl, Ardency Inn’s turqoise and lilac, NARS Barrow Street (best mint liner of all time), Marc Jacob’s new shades (Peridot, Blue Me Away, and Orange Crush), UD’s Chaos and Gonzo, Stila Periwinkle, and KVD’s new Nietzsche liner. I also use Sugarpill and MUFE shadows as liners due to their bold loveliness.
-My absolute favorite foundation of all-time has been replaced! My former HG is now my HG backup. I used to be a Guerlain LDP in Beige Pale-only kind of person but now I am more in love with Tom Ford’s Traceless Perfecting foundation. Lasts the whole day with perfect skin-like texture.
-Hard to pick a favorite cream blush formula but I suppose the ones I reach for most are my favorite NARS multiples (G-Spot, Siam, Altai, Violet Atom, Quantum, etc). But I also love MUFE, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford, Chanel, and of course ColourPop for the cream-powder-gel hybrid vote.

Ceranna Avatar

Using lipstick as a cream blush? I have never heard of it! I mean yeah, lots of companies make lip/cheek stains but they usually don’t work well for both on me. I love finding new ways to use products, thank you!

– Your skin tone/coloring: Medium, olive toned complexion

– Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? Surfer Babe by Sephora

– Favorite long-wearing foundation? Urban Decay Naked Skin Liquid Foundation! I bought this foundation last month and have been wearing it ever since. It’s very lightweight and long-wearing 😀

– Favorite cream blush formula? NYX cream blushes work well for me!

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of colour: TT Spark of Envy, Sephora Surfer Babe
Favorite long-wearing foundation? Revlon Colorstay, which I wore over 20 years ago. I rarely wear foundation anymore.
Favorite cream blush formula? TT. I don’t own many cream blushes, so I only have this and a Tarte cheek stain to chose a favourite from.

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair neutral; magenta-red hair, hazel/green eyes

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? As usual, I can’t pick just one. Anything purple or plum such as UD Psychedelic Sister, Asphyxia, Voodoo; L’oreal Infallible Pure Purple, Plum; Kat von D Lightning Liner in Poe. I also love UD’s Mars, Woodstock; L’oreal Infallible Silkissime Cobalt Blue, Green Ivy, True Teal; Almay Raisin Quartz; UD Thrash eyeshadow as a liner on the lower lid.

Favorite long-wearing foundation? BareMinerals BareEscentuals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (Fair).

Favorite cream blush formula? MUFE’s HD Cream Blush, hands down. Honorable mention to Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge.

Skintone/Coloring: Medium with olive undertones, MAC C4.5 goes into C5 summertime, deep brunette, teal green w/ gold flecked eyes.
Favorite eyeliner for a pop of color: Sephora Purple Stilettos and Suntan Contour Eyeliner Pencils, and Nyx Slide-on eyeliner pencils in Esmeralda and Azure.
Favorite long-wearing foundation: I used to love Revlon Colorstay foundation, but now I no longer use long-wearing formula because it can really dry my skin out! Then again, I am 56 y.o., so there’s that!
Favorite cream blush formula: cream-to-powder types, like Maybelline Dream Bouncy and others like it. I want to try a ColourPop blush down the road.

Nancy T Avatar

Oh!!! I forgot 2 others: MAC Siahi for a bright, but dark teal blue cat-eye ( so cool! ) and Nyx Cream Blush in Orange ( on me, more peachy )

Pavithra Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: ~ NC42 – NC 44
Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color: Don’t do this very often, but I’ve been reaching for MAC’s Blue Peep when I feel like it.
Favorite long-wearing foundation: Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish (Warm Honey) – This one really means business. Good color match and it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Best applied with a Beauty Blender
Favorite cream blush formula: Le Blush Creme De Chanel – .hands down the easiest formula I’ve ever used ! My favorites are Revelation and Presage.

Bea Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Light yellow-olive, so it ranges from light/neutral to warm/yellow throughout the year.
Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color: Urban Decay Freak or Mildew, usually. I love Freak.
Favorite long-wearing foundation: MUFE #123 is the only one I’ve really liked, and I typically use a facial primer so I can’t speak to it’s longevity (Korres Silicone-Free Primer is my favorite).
Favorite cream blush formula: MUFE #310. Goes great with my skin tone year-round. A stiff stippling brush lets you really build up layers evenly.

Deborah Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Pale – I literally have no color on my face: Vitiligo and the pigment has gradually disappeared. So talk about pale! LOL

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? I don’t use bright colors – too old for that but looks beautiful on you younger ladies!

Favorite long-wearing foundation? MAC Studio Fix – it’s in a compact – I have worn in for a long time!

Favorite cream blush formula? I don’t use cream.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? Sephora Surfer Babe or MAC Atomic Ore
Favorite long-wearing foundation? Clarins’s long-wearing one
Favorite cream blush formula? I don’t really have one though I love a Clarins “colour adjusting” cream/gel blush I got a lot of years ago (it was LE).

Skin: fair neutral.
Pop of colour: well, probably 95% of my eyeliner collection, lol. I almost always wear coloured liner. The rarity is if I wear black liner!
Long-wearing foundation: none. I don’t like any of the long-wear formulas I’ve tried. If I need extra lasting power from my foundation, I’ll use all the standard tricks with primer + powder, etc., and touch it up with Touch Eclat balm powder during the day if need be.
Cream blush: Daniel Sandler and Bourjois. I also have a little colour wheel of cream blushes by Ben Nye that I like, which is super handy for travelling.

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? Sephora Indulge Yourself – Flashy Green, UD 24/7 Glide On in Vacancy and Psychedelic Sister.

Favorite long-wearing foundation? Right now, Nars All Day Weightless Luminous Foundation (is that name long enough or what?)

Favorite cream blush formula? I haven’t tried cream blush yet.

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? Right now, it’s Guerlain’s Amber Silver
Favorite long-wearing foundation? Oh man, I barely ever wear foundation…I guess I could go with Missha Perfect Cover BB cream.
Favorite cream blush formula? Before it was D/Ced, probably Maybelline mousse cream blush.

GG Avatar

Skintone: As of last night’s Sephora visit… “4Y06,” but I don’t totally trust that. I’ve tried some foundations which would supposedly be too light on me based on the numbering system, but in reality they’re waaay too dark.

Favorite foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place has a gorgeous formula that wears beautifully on me, but I am having a hell of a time finding a good color match.

Favorite cream blush: So far, Chanel’s Le Blush Creme but that’s only because I haven’t tried any others because I bought this one in March 2014 and it’s still not even half used. But… I REALLY want a waterproof/beach blush! I don’t care if it’s a cream or a stain or whatever. I want to wear my makeup to the beach this summer!! Does anyone know of any suitables?

Pteetsa Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: Fair/neutral

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? I don’t wear eyeliner of any color very often, but if I were to, I would probably wear an olive green like Sephora Snakeskin Dress or gold.

Favorite long-wearing foundation? I think L’Oreal Infallible Matte is the longest-wearing on me (I have really oily skin).

Favorite cream blush formula? My longtime favorite is YSL Creme de Blush, but lately I have wearing the heck out of my Maybelline Coral Matte blush stick.

Your skin tone/coloring: Fairest neutral. We’re talking NW05 or so if it existed! My two closest matches are too hydrating for my t-zone so my latest endeavour is to find a long-wearing foundation that matches me because having to mix white into my Nars foundation in Siberia (the long-wearing one) is a bit of an annoyance!

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? I have a few I like. I gravitate toward teal and purple but I like coloured liners in general and usually only use colour in my lower lashline . Some examples are: Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Psychedelic Sister and Electric, Avon Super Shock gel pencil in Aqua Pop and Savage, and Maybelline Master Drama Chromatics in Magenta.

Favorite long-wearing foundation? Nars All Day Luminous Weightless foundation. My t-zone is very oily so a long-wearing formula is essential for me. I’ve tried others but for me this is the best I’ve found so far.

Favorite cream blush formula? Face Stockholm cream blush. It’s not cream-to-powder therefore it has a nice dewy finish. It has a good amount of slip, it easily Your blends in and it’s compact and therefore travel friendly. Plus it can comfortably double up as lip colour. 🙂

– Light, neutral

– Teal? XD I tend to acquire all of the teals. UD Siren in liquid, I have a Pixi pencil in teal that wears like iron, and I have teal kohl that I love, too.

– Meh, anything I set with powder wears fairly well unless I sweat it off.

– I don’t really wear blush often, let alone cream blush.

skin/coloring: Varies. We’re sliding into summer, I’m currently a light medium with olive undertones.

Favorite pop of color eyeliner: None! I don’t usually eyeliner, and when I do, we’re almost always in tge brown/black family

Favorite long wear foundation: innisfree’s long wear cushion color. It’s a korean brand, so the color choice is limited, I wear the darkest of their 3, 23. I love it, it really resists my oily skin. I am sad now that summertime is coming, I am getting darker, so I need to look for a replacement.

Favorite cream blush: Either theBalm Stainac in Beauty Queen [great natural flush] or NARS multiple in Orgasm [just my favorite cheek color]

Your skin tone/coloring: The fairest possible with cool undertones and split cool/warm features which permits colors, but not foundations, to be either cool or warm on me. Cool light green/aqua/gray/blue eyes which can shift warmer due to an amber freckle and yellow flower petals around the pupil, naturally both golden, strawberry and beige med/dark blonde hair, very red/berry lips.

Favorite eyeliner to add a pop of color? Any MJB Highliner Gel Eye Crayons & CT Rock n Khols & Chamelon eye pencil crayons!
