Haul: Maybelline rebel bloom lipsticks. I know that they’re not 100% great performers, but pastels are extremely hard to get right anyway and I don’t think they’re that bad on me. Helps to have a lip liner or lip primer as well to prevent settling into the lip lines. 😉
Weekend plans: Stop panicking, I’m being laid off at the end of the month, which will give me time to a a general retail job and continue job searching. It sounds bad, but I’m a bundle of nerves not knowing what was happening the past 2 months. >_< I was down to 8 seperatic hours a week from full time.
What music album has been your jam lately?: I'm so bad, but I don't collect albums. I list to the radio mostly. lol I have to pick my vices financially, makeup and cosplay are enough. 😉

(But even someone bought it and loved it, I’m honestly happy for them!)
Yeah you really should have to work with $60 lipstick to make it look good. Really what your paying for is your brand loyaltiy at that point. lol

I have a question you probably could also help me with or someone who see this. I bough a pro size z palette for my MUFE pans. There is a lot of empty space. I am already needing a second. I am wondering if the large would hold just as many? What size do you keep yours in?

I ended up mixing the Lumi with a moisturizer because it was too dark and it came out perfect! Next came the stick, and I really like the convenience of it. And the 15 hour primer under the stick foundation blends really well together and I don’t even have to touch up at work! The KVD and BeautyBlender are coming today via Sephora’s Flash Shipping 😀

Weekend plans: 1) Start moving my older son out of the group home from hell. He’ll be living here till we find something else he can afford. Lord, give me strength! 😀 2) Making up invitations and planning my younger son’s birthday party. We have to get out the invitations next week, before school lets out for Spring Break. I’ve been nostalgic lately and listening to Stevie Wonder’s Songs In The a Key Of Life and the late Jazz musician George Duke. Both men are musical geniuses who seriously upgraded my commute to and from work this week (lol).
I love jazz music but am admittedly not super familiar with artists (at least not offhand). Off to check out George Duke!

Music: Oh, man, it’s never just one album with me…Well, I finally tired of Swift’s 1989, so Hozier has been my jam as of late. Nicki Minaj’s “Pinkprint” and the Pistol Annies “Annie Up” has been getting a fair bit of play. I also downloaded Bjork’s Greatest Hits album and have been falling in love with her all over again. I keep meaning to complete my Ramona Falls album, and I am PUMPED for the new Florence and the Machine album to come out. Yeah, my tastes are all over the place. :p

Haul: Dr. Jart Dis-A-Pore BB cream, Tarte Tartelette blush, and all three BHCosmetics enhancing eye palettes. And I think my new Conair lighted mirror counts as a beauty purchase. 🙂 It’s a huge improvement over my old mirror.
Plans: a few errands, writing, and sitting around trying not to scratch my new tattoo–SF Giants logo on the inside of my left arm.

How do you like Dr. Jart’s BB cream?
I’ve only used it a couple times, but it’s totally a keeper. It does a pretty good job of blurring/minimizing my pores and evening out my skin tone. It’s the first high-end BB cream I’ve tried and while it’s not an HG, I think it’s worth the money.
Nice! I have heard good things about Dr. Jart’s BB creams in general. I always need more coverage when I’m taking photos (I normally don’t even bother with foundation when it’s just a testing day!), so I haven’t found myself checking them out personally yet!

I also received my Rouge Bunny Rouge order from HauteLook: eyeshadows in Golden Rhea, Mysterious Tinamou (sapphire), Whispering Ibis (emerald), Eclipse Eagle (dark purple gray), mascaras in Oxblood and “Golden Charcoal”, and face powder.

What music album has been your jam lately?: So…I actually don’t listen to a lot of music, except while driving and then it’s just the radio because it’s an old car and that’s all I got. I really like Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk”, but my jam is 80s and 90s pop.

I’m sorry to hear that the customer service at MUG wasn’t good 🙁
Haul: I returned last week’s impulse purchase without touching it, so at least I didn’t feel guilty about it. (It was the MAC 15-pan palette of cool neutrals — I’m hoping maybe the one MAC has done for Nordstrom might be better, it seems to contain more really classic MAC shades.) So: Kevyn Aucoin contour palette (I am finding it quick, easy, and good for defining both face and eyes, just apply the face products with a very light hand, the one thing it’s missing is a matte highlight shade). Also I finally pulled the trigger on the Tartelette palette, and I and picked up two lip colors, Urban Decay’s Sheer Ladyflower (I have the mini of the opaque formula and love it, I like the sheer one too), and OCC Sebastian, which has the honor to be a true ‘nude’ shade that actually does not make me look sick/dead/un-dead, because it’s a truly cool nude, you cannot detect the yellow in it (I know it has to be in there, since it’s a beige, but it leans more blue/grey). It’s great for toning down shades that are too intense or too yellow for me 🙂 I’m also testing samples of some of the new Make Up For Ever primers, I’m liking the Nourishing one for keeping some radiance in my face while my skin is still parched. Also testing a sample of the new Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation (moisturizing), which does not seem to have as dewy of a finish as the original — but it might be the sunscreen I have to wear under it.
Weekend plans: working on Sunday, chores/errands/cooking on Saturday. Oh, well! I will get some relaxing in, and go for a long walk tomorrow (Sunday), when it’s not raining.
Music: lately I’ve been exploring different blues and jazz playlists on Spotify, when I’m not listening to my own playlists, which are heavy on Neil Halstead, Nick Drake, Ray LaMontagne, Alexi Murdoch, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Jackson C. Frank.
I have to check out a lot of those artists you mentioned! Thank you for broadening my horizons 😀
