It’s funny, I dunno what it is exactly, but something about how Dior packages those eyeshadow quints really bugs me — it looks overpriced and unappealing, even though the shades are gorgeous! weird how just the packaging does that.

I loveeeeeee dior makeup, it was the first brand of makeup I ever tried! However I do hate how it burns a hole in my wallet everytime a new collection comes out =(

Coincidentally since I do visit the Dior counter quite often and have befreinded a few of the sales ladies there and they have told me that there *MAY* be a gauncho eye palette released this fall inspired by the gauncho purses designed by John Galliano. I’ve seen one or two on ebay I’m not sure if it’s real or not since I’m not sure if is was released in asia first but if thats any hint of what’s coming ahead I better start saving.

I like this collection for travel, something that looks nice when you pull it out for a touchup and also for a simple look that gets put together fast. I would add the lancolm summer teal eyeliner that is double ended with the other side a smokey smudgy brown. This gives you a fun llok for brunch with the teal, a neutral look for looking “fresh” with casual clothes and a smokey eye for a dinner.

i’m started to get interested in really expensive brands like dior and the palettes are actually a great deal for 5 colors but do the shadows really make a difference? sometimes mac would have some colors in their palettes that don’t have a good pay off, is it the same with dior? i don’t really like the packaging of dior, i think i like chanel better but what i’m really interested is the quality and the colors, i hear the colors are very well paired.

I wear mostly Dior and I love it. Christine was right that the color payoffs are really good. I wear the quints when I go to Florida and Mexico (in 115 + degree weather) over UDPP, they last about 8 to 10 hours and still look vibrant. I have had good luck. Plus the compacts are a great travel size.

I don’t know the names of some but I have them in the navy, purples, nudes, khaki greens, and a golden bronzy one. I buy them when I travel out of the country so I have a good selection of limited colors that were introduced overseas.

I really like Dior – but they have one problem that another of my favorite lines has: scented lip products.

I really don’t mind the fragrance – I enjoy the scents of Estee Lauder’s ‘Pure Color’ l/s (supposed to be fig), as well as the scent of MAC lip products (vanilla) – but Lancome and Dior have this cheap, fake, rose scent that makes me want to wretch.

I agree, I find alot of high end products are over scented.

The worst smelling Dior product is the Diorshow mascara…it smells so strongly, it is quite gross IMO. Anyways, I would think fragrance in a mascara would be potentially irritating to the eyes.

Oh, this collection (and Dandy Lady, though) is so seductive for a cosmetic maniac… I’m trying to stay away ’cause normally I don’t buy anything hi-end except the foundation&mascara.. MAC is the one and the only%)))) Yeah, I’m slighty mad^^

Christine, please, help me!^^
Silver look duo. Is it unique? Is there a dupes in MAC permanent collection, or…. maybe LE’s?….
Handwritten/Dark Edge/Concrete w/something silver..no?
