My trip to Egypt I had taken my makeup case. My group and I were performing on a crusie ship. The only time I wore makeup in my two weeks there, was on stage.

Our schedule on this trip was a really tight one and we barely had time to dress before having to leave for another city. With the exception of our 4 days on the ship, which was the only time we (dancers) had time for ourselves. By the time I arrived home, I needed another week to recoup.

I’ll do it again in a heart beat =D

At least four different shades of eyeshadow, a few blushes, my green by nature lip gloss!, my tinted moisturizer, fluidline in blacktrack, all my brushes|tools, and my big fatty mascara by urban decay. The basics!

I go to Canada every year and I bring all of makeup and brushes. I even bring my cupholders for my brushes so i can lay it all out like i were at home. I’ll just lug it all along with me. In the end it’s worth it because i have everything with me and can do a bunch of different looks. I tend to dress up and do my makeup more when on vacation…gotta have good pictures! : )

I’ll be heading off to Malaysia for 5 days next week and I reckon I won’t be bringing too much… but the basics will be needed. One or two e/s, paint pot, concealer, powder, lip balm, gloss, bronzing powder… and the necessary brushes needed. Not too much, I suppose enough to fit into a reasonable-sized make up bag. 🙂

Two years ago, I went to 3 countries (England, Spain, Iceland) in 6 days, and I took almost no makeup: I literally survived with only concealer, pressed powder, mascara, and one lipgloss. I hope never to repeat the experience.

Were I to spend a week in another country, I think I would take:
Primer (Prep+Prime SPF50)
Concealer (Studio Fix)
Pressed Powder (Blot)
Eye primer (UDPP)
Mascara (Plushlash?)
Shadow palette (I like Fresh’s trios, particularly Chamomile; dark shade for brows)
Pencil liner (black)
Blush
Lip balm
Lipglass (Nymphette or Enchantress)

I would probably be able to cope with just those essentials, plus associated brushes. But I’d come straight home and play with my makeup to make up for general deprivation.

I bring to all my trips:
Sunblock
Smashbox photofinish
studio fix powder
blot pressed powder
paint pot in bare study
concealer
mascara
2 pencil eyeliners (black and brown)
6 eye shadows (outfit coordinated)
2 pigments (to highlight and outfit coordinated)
sculpt and shape powder
2 blushes
lip balm
2 lipsticks
3 lipglosses
Fix+
All my brushes
Brush cleanser

I guess that’s all I really need, of course while on my trip I probably would regret not bringing my whole case. ; )

Basic brushes, a quad of shadows, my foundation + kabuki, 2 blushes, 2 or 3 lipsticks, mascara, eyeliner and travel size pots of my skincare.
My suitcase has been lost twice now by different airlines and airports on my return to the UK.
The last time I’d bought loads of make up while I was on holiday and I could only claim back £100 which didn’t even cover the clothes I’d taken.
If I lost my most expensive brushes or a lot of MAC/UD products I’d be really, really upset.

I just came back from a 10days trip to Australia. Bought a no. of makeup:

Loose powder
Moisture select concealer
Concealer
Funshine Slimshine
MAC angle lipstick
Gold lipgloss
Cult fave lipglass
Painterly paintpot
Loreal telescopic mascara
True romantic beauty powder blush
Shu uemura pink blusher
Fafi sassed-up IPP
MAC eye and face brushes
Pandamonium e/s quad
Mercurial mes
Kate brown e/s quad

BUT…eventually I only use my Loreal sunblock, both concealers and blusher only. Well since it is a sightseeing trip.

I’m going to the Mayan Riviera with my boyfriend in July! So far the only things I know I need to bring for sure are…

Sunblock
Point Black liquidlast liner (can this be used in the waterline?)
#266 to apply PB ^
Waterproof Mascara (can anyone suggest a good brand?)
Blacktrack fluidline
Black eyeliner

… Yeah. I don’t think I’ll care much about eyeshadows (I say that now, I’ll probably end up bringing like 3 self-made quads, lol.) My boyfriend doesn’t really understand my make-up obsession so I’m only going to bring the essentials.

Hm, lipgloss, mascara (waterproof), makeup remover, concealer, pencil eyeliner and maybe few pigments, and sunblock/face cream if it’s sun/hot there. And that’s it. 😀

Oh rhly?! Let me tell you something: once I was traveling to visit my granny and I took 4 FULL makeup bags. In the end, I used stuff from the only one. 😛

And well, when you say long vacation, I always imagine activity, buzzing around, probably in summer, which means sweating…I don’t imagine some luxurious cruising or 5 star hotels and going out to the bars. For that, you could use more make up. 😀
